Hmmmm I have a dog who is 16 pounds.. not sure if that’s considered small. But she’s a real dog. Isn’t like a cat. Plays all day and is a great family dog :) doesn’t bark, doesn’t chew, is very well trained but also spirited and fun.
German Shepherds are great too! We have one! Very friendly, loyal and loving!
Labradoodles are great too if you don’t want a dog who sheds all over the place!
If Stephen gets something like a bumpdate about his worklife/financial plans for example, could we call it Steph'o'clock?

My parents tried to conceive for 11 years and right when they couldn’t afford the medicine anymore they got pregnant with me I’m their one and only miracle child! I’m so glad they had me when they did so please never stop trying it will always work out for the best!! I love your podcasts,videos,vlogs literally everything you do so much! I hope your day is as amassing as you are!

It's common to happen when the body is more relaxed. It's a switch in the processes by the nervous system. Most of our instinctual behaviours rely on oxytocin and relaxation and calm rather than panic and cortisol and adrenaline

devon Winkler that’s the thing I don’t know how, any tips? 😂🙈 am currently living with my bf, when we go buy groceries 30% is my stuff, 55% is for both of us, 15% will be his, so I will pay at the counter automatically because 3/4 of the items i am using, but at the same time I’m paying for his stuff . Such as when go out to eat, he 80% of the time will pay for the meal which we both ate, and by the end of the month his cash will be short, because he is paying for my meal too. Realistically we don’t break the bills down and ask to pay back each other , because we really don’t mind about it, but it hurts the bank acc because what and how we spend it’s very blurred. I know there’s ppl who let’s say each take a percentage of their salary to share on the bills and food, I would like to know how 😁

I’m almost 25 years old and the thought of having a baby at this point in my life TERRIFIES me. Although, it’s all about points in life. You both are financially stable and seemingly very emotionally mature :) my fiancé and I are like NOPE let’s clean up some of this student debt first 😂
But if you wait til you can afford it though it'll never happen.
I disagree I work in midwifery and plenty of people have kids later on. Putting comments like that puts a lot of unnecessary pressure on people. There is never a perfect moment but when people want to they will know when they want to. 25 is plenty young enough to have time to sort things out. It's about having a realistic conceiving conversation where people understand it can take years to get pregnant, or a day, months.
Fortunately I'm 26 and don't want kids at all.

On the musical theatre hot take: you could say the same thing about band! SO important for kids because in a sport you’re competing where in theatre or a band you HAVE to work together or it doesn’t work!!
CanadianMouse have you ever played a sport? You’re literally working together with your entire team. I would’ve hated being forced into band or theater. A soccer team doesn’t work if you’re not working together.
Katy Mcgee I played high level team sports (ice hockey, ringette & field hockey) but I just don’t think it’s the same. There’s always that level of competition even among teammates. You can still win a game if you have a few good players, and some people never get to play at the highest levels. In a band or theatre if you’re not working together, if someone messes up, it’s a disaster
CanadianMouse yessss i was in band when i was in middle school and i loved the experience of being apart of something and learning something not everyone can do. i also was in a drama class and that helped me feel a bit more comfortable with acting and it was freeing since i was very shy as a kid
Love that you talk about being 24 as a sign that you’re such an adult and here I am at 26 (almost 27!) and still looking around for the responsible adult in the room until I realise I’m probs the one by default 😂

Hey Sierra! I'm currently a psychology graduate student and a certified positive psychology practitioner. I recently created my channel to spread the knowledge of positive psychology and mental wellness! For so long, the field of psychology has been heavily reliant on the disease model AKA "what's wrong with me?" but positive psychology asks the question, "what's right with me?"
As I spread the message of positive psychology, I never want to dimish anyone's struggles or diagnoses -- I have my own struggles as well. I want to help show people that their struggles do not have to identify them. You're a perfect example of this in my opinion -- you have shared aspects of your mental health, but you have not allowed it to define you or hold you back, and you have such a positive outlook.
Positive psychology can motivate us to work through our mental health struggles in the ways that work best for us, but not forget that there is an entire field of psychology dedicated to flourishing, happiness, and growth. I didn't know it existed until my senior year of my undergraduate degree, and it was just a chapter of a much larger class. But it sparked something in me! I feel that so many people could benefit from the teachings of the subject, especially since it is rapidly growing and is made up of evidence-based research --- not just a self-help guru's random opinions.
I hope that my channel can one day help others focus on their happiness and positive qualities, build their resilience, prioritize their mental health and wellness, and teach them how to flourish in their lives! :)
Love your channel and videos! I plan to create a few videos on body positivity since it is a way to practice positive psychology through gratitude and self-compassion. (Plus, I'm a mid-size girl and can relate to so many aspects of it!)

Pescatarian here whose partner is full paleo. You make it work- doesn’t always mean it is easy, but everyone has preferences on what works best for their body and makes sense for their lifestyle. Love how you respect each other’s preferences
I’m vegetarian and my husband eats meat. I don’t see how people thinks that a problem. He doesn’t force me to eat meat and I don’t pressure him into being veggie either. It’s called respecting your partner.

No one should get upset about your faith, and you shouldn't cringe with worry when it comes up. It's a part of who you are. If it didn't come up it would be odd. I agree being pushy or too aggressive about it would turn some people off, but the biggest part of your appeal is that you are blatantly honest and vulnerable.
Now I get why Stephen wants kids 😄, he wants the dog that comes with it! 🤣

I definitely agree with Sierra’s hot take! i was never a really outgoing kid i was actually pretty shy and i’ve always had like stage fright even with silly things like talking in front of a class.. i couldn’t talk sometimes and i’d just stand there but i picked drama class when i started high school for my elective and i loved it and my drama teacher told me i was doing great and asked me to come back next year. for some reason I felt like since it was a drama class I could just let loose and totally go with it without judgement with is totally why i would recommend it to quite people or shy people even if it’s not your thing i still had fun. i don’t post videos yet but i really really would love to start and the only thing holding me back is myself, i tell myself i need a camera and a laptop and lights but i’ve heard youtubers say it’s okay and to just do it! it’s not going to be easy and i know. the reason i want to make videos is because so many youtubers have inspired me, we need genuine and honest people and more
Aw I love all of Sierra’s advice for starting a RUclips channel! ESPECIALLY her “why”. It’s so inspiring. It got me and my husband to think about what our “why” is on our channel. We started off wanting to make it a travel channel but we haven’t been able to travel much lately because we aren’t able to afford it. But we continue making videos in hopes to inspire others to have fun in their own backyard. You don’t have to be stuck in your living room just because you can’t afford to travel or don’t live in a cool place. Adventures are all around you, you just have to look for them 😊❤️😊❤️😊❤️

I started a channel a few months ago and then fell off of it but I've been making a list of video ideas so that I can be consistent, because I've only made a handful of videos so far I think my mission statement would be: to share my passions with others and have fun. I think the more I make videos, the better and more specific I can make my mission statement.

I 100% agree with sierras hot take! Growing up I was incredibly shy, reserved and insecure, but I got into musical theatre and now I’m doing it professionally. I would still consider myself a reserved and introverted person but theatre helped me tremendously and taught me how to be more comfortable speaking to strangers. I understand people thinking you can get these things from other activities (and I’m sure you can) but theatre brings out something very very special in children.
My channels missions statement: To let people know that they are not alone in the challenges and disappointments of modern day dating. The journey to happiness can be filled with hard times but it’s to our advantages to look back and find the humor in it.

With the mission of the channel you opened my mind, I didn't realize it, but basically my mission is recycle, reuse and DIY. I am still working properly on my content, but this is my goal. In regards to Sierras hot take I am gonna go with what Stephan said. I think there’s a lot if other things that do the same things as theatre. For example I was in student council. I led assemblies in front of the school, talked to teachers, called businesses, etc. I was always going out of my comfort zone and learning so many skills. But I think sports and other activities can do the same as theatre.
I don't think theatre is for 'everyone', or at least: I don't think 'every' theatre is a positive/nurturing environment that can helps any kid develop self-esteem.
It really depends on a theatre's culture and competitiveness, and your own skill level.
In 2003, I was a shy 13 year old in rural Australia. I auditioned at the only local theatre. I didn't want to be a star, I just really wanted to make some friends. I had never been trained to sing or dance. The audition was sooo nerve racking: I had to sing a song without background music, sing scales to a piano, and perform a monologue. I had never done any of those things before. Needless to say, I didn't get in. I didn't even get a part as a stage-hand. So I never even met any of the kids who got in, and didn't get to make any theatre friends.
It really crushed my (already low) self-esteem.
I think it's great that Sierra and Skylar made incredible friendships and memories through theatre, but I definitely think their experience was so positive because: (1) They got into shows/productions, (2) They are both great singers, (3) They probably had access to a positive local-theatre community.

I'm not really sure of what my channel's mission statement is just yet. I only recently started it, but the BookTube community to me is so important for promoting all kinds of literature and also for just feeling heard/seen by other creators and authors alike.
I just started my channel this year and Sierra was a big inspiration for me to finally pull the plug and just do it! Still figuring out exactly what I want my mission statement to be. But right now it’s probably closest to: trying out beauty products and sharing things in my life that I love in a relatable way. I want to inspire people to feel comfortable in their skin but especially when it comes to anything in the beauty realm!
I also want to vlog for the memories as well!

My name is Vickiee and I have a small channel. Honestly, you were one of my biggest inspirations when I first started my channel. I was like you where the second I decided that I was making a youtube channel that I wanted it to be my career lol. I make videos about mainly Makeup, Skincare, and Fashion but I've kinda started branching out into making vlogs and personal content too. I like making videos that are relevant to the communities that I love but making it a lot more lighthearted. I think that for far too long, the beauty space has been one of exclusion which is horrible and the opposite of real beauty. I want to make everyone that comes to my channel feel entertained but also confident that they can do anything that they want and be who they want to be. That may be pretty ambitious I know, but that's my why. I never want anyone to feel excluded or alone so I want my little corner of the internet to be that too.
Lol I know I wrote a book. Can't wait to check out everyone's channel and start building connections :)

Still super new to the whole RUclips thing. I'm a photographer and the content typically revolves around being creative in my career. If I had to choose a mission statement it would be: Finding creativity in the mundane in the hopes that it inspires others to bring creativity into their life as well.

I agree with Sierra’s hot take! I was such a shy kid and in grade 8 my mom put in community theatre which I loved. I was still shy but then majored in drama in highschool.... it got me out of my shy bubble and now I do public speaking 😆💜
I’m a part time language teacher from Mexico. Only part time because it really doesn’t pay well, and I have to sustain me and my cat. Because I love teaching, I started making videos for my students. I teach English at high school, and I want to believe it helps them somehow.

I started a channel called "Mo Survives Graduate School" to share the real world experience of going through graduate school and giving advice as I go through it. But a few days into the first semester I got diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. Life got crazy and I abandoned it, I'm thinking about starting up again to to share the Crohn's and grad school journey with a similar mission.

I'm starting an art RUclips channel (although due to personal reasons have been unable to post for a few months, but finally planning to record/post more soon - and hopefully on a regular schedule). My mission statement is to inspire others through creativity and encourage others to innovate/ideate/create, but to be very real in the process.

My channel is very much lacking content.. I’ve recently stopped working and I’m pregnant with our first baby so I’d really love to focus more around that journey and being a first time mom and navigating through it while also juggling the military wife life. Contextualizing Pop Culture's Influence on _______________ (fill in the blank). Basically, my idea for the channel is to educate and dive deeper into vintage or retro media/aesthetics. There's always a deeper side to an aesthetic than what we see from an image. I strive to research for viewers and give them something interesting to think about. My top inspirations are Lindsay Ellis and Tiffany Ferg!
I have two video essays currently (one on the history of teen musicals and another on fashion for the early 2000s). I'm trying a little bit of everything lately (anything from nostalgic film recommendations, retro-inspired diy's and, my newest addiction kpop reactions! But that’s just for fun! I deleted a bunch of my videos because I was embarrassed of them. That's why I don't have many videos right now. I kind of regret doing that. But still, I'm trying to keep this my mission statement true so hopefully, I'll have more stuff like that very soon! Your Heely's video gave me the inspiration to do a history of heelys/roller skates/roller blades video. I'm currently researching now!

I dreamed about having my own channel for so long! I finally took that leap and I started my channel sep 18 and its the best decision I ever made! I didn't expect to love it as much as I did but it truly lights my soul on fire! I loved this episode of the pod...I usually listen but it was nice having the visual! you guys are awesome!
