There is no audible acoustic strumming in the studio version of this song, and while recording this I thought, "This feels empty." Soooooooooooooo...I added acoustic strumming to go along with the lead.
Bias FX was used to get that "Ashes of Eden" kind of tone.

I was wandering where do you find the tracks of these songs without the guitar in it? Because I found some, but I can't find any for newer songs that I might would want to do a cover on.
Brady Smoak Only songs that are on Guitar Hero or Rockband games for PS3/360/PS4/X1 have multitracks. The song files are extracted from the game. I'm not good at doing that but there are tutorials on RUclips for it. Also some bands are nice enough to release official instrumental tracks. Too bad BB has never done that. All their isolated multitracks were extracted from either Rockband or Guitar hero. I hope that answers your question. =)
That acoustic sounds absolutely huge! Did you use BIAS FX on an acoustic? What settings? I never thought about doing it with an acoustic til now, but that tone is glorious.
+Iversen Covers Indeed, I used Bias FX. I don't have the preset because I forgot to save it because I'm an idiot. But I know as for the BIAS FX amp, it was "Acoustic Sim" with a shit ton of reverb, and I think some boost. And a super small amount of Chorus. I can't recall if it had chorus but if it did, it was a small amount. Gain low, high mids, high trebble, mid bass, maybe 6 on presence. Play around with all that and you will probably be able to recreate the tone.Sorry for not having the full specifics, I really am stupid for forgetting to save the preset. Also, holy shit I just saw your Diary of Jane cover. It was badass.

Brady Smoak Go to your "Uploads" section, then on the left side of the screen click what says "Create". Then click "Music Policies". From there you can search any song to see if it is legal on RUclips in terms of it being fair use.

Recorded two separate videos. Loaded both into Camtasia Studio 8. Dragged both videos into the same timeline and then from there cropped each video so they'd fit into the same screen.

Looking back, I did use a thick pick and I did pick it pretty hard. My Mic was being stupid and it wasn't wanting to pick up any decent sound unless I picked really hard for some reason. =/

Buddy'ro, I don't have anything to get me views. What I do to get views is try my best to make the covers be the best they can be. It also helps that I posted this cover when Ashes of Eden was in its prime as a single. If you want to get views, post covers of new songs. Or post covers of songs that not many have covered before. That's the best advice I can give. Good luck man.
