I couldn't tell you how many times I've watched this cover. This song particularly this version you've done really stirs something emotional deep within that I've never quite been able to explain. This is easily one of my top 5 favorite covers on RUclips and I would like to thank you and The Followthrough for creating something so inspiring and beautiful.

Sounds awesome guys! Just did a cover of the same song myself last night. Do you guys use Pro Tools, Studio One, Cubase? Acoustic sounds so full and warm!
Hey man! Thanks :) . I can't vouch for The followthrough, but I can tell you how I record my stuff. I just use Audacity to record everything. In audacity I just use a bit of noise cancellation if needed and also add some compression. Then I move the audio to premiere pro where i can sync it up with the video recording from my camera. When I render out the video in Premiere pro I add a little reverb and tweak the treble/bass to the audio and that's pretty much it. I don't ever use auto-tune because I don't want it sounding too plastic (and also because I have no clue how to do that sorta thing anyway). Hope this helps??.Just listened to your cover. Sounds awesome man! :)

Nice job, though the intro didn't sound like the song, but that's because you're playing the chords instead of picking like Breaking Benjamin did. Still pretty cool. If you ever do this song again and collab like this time, maybe one of you guys could play chords while the other picks.
Glad you like it Ryan! Thanks man!. Thanks for your critique too :) . Our aim (as with most of my covers) wasn't to sound the same as the Original. If you listen carefully you can hear that I played the chords (rhythm), whilst Matt from The Followthrough played lead (picking as you call it) ;) . We kinda like the idea of making it our own and not sounding like a carbon copy of the original. I'm looking forward to hearing/watching some of your drum covers on your channel :) . Peace!
Thanks, glad for the support. It's taking me a lot longer to get my channel going than I would have liked due to my setup and room setup. Takes a lot of time to get things just right due to ring and audio quality

Hey Brendon. Sorry for the late reply. A little story for yo - When I recorded this, I had my guitar tuned in drop D and had my capo on the 2nd fret. I only found out afterwards that my guitar was out of tune... but some how it still worked out xD . I think I had forgotten to tighten my strings before recording!... So the closest tuning you're gonna get is drop D and capo on the 2nd fret. Hope that helps a little

Don't let go alternates slightly, I'm waiting for someone to catch that when they do a cover. "Let" is slightly higher every other time.
Yeah you're right, in the original it does. I try a relaxed approach to covers and try not to sound to much like the original :)
Its best to sound a little different from the recording so people dont accuse you of faking it

Hey Marsel, thanks man! It's been so long that i don't remember what tuning i was in. I looked through my comments and found that i was in Drop D tuning with my capo on the 2nd fret,.... but my guitar was slightly flat and out of tune! (i didn't prepare much for it and didn't realise it was out of tune at the time). xD

Same, and i definitely sing 'am still calling'. Even my lips(and Luis' lips) sync with those words. There's also very distinct 'Still' being pronounced around the 2:02 mark. People often hear different lyrics in all kinds of music so i won't be losing any sleep over it anyway hehe. And you're totally right, maybe the dual vocals throws it off a little bit? who knows.
