This mod set is so wild, I just finished a game with 47 trade routes. With owls of Minerva, you can get 3 trade routes per city if you have a harbor and commercial hub
Which feels really good. I always played with mods that gave the harbour and commerce hub unique trade routes, coastal cities have a huge advantage in the real world and growing a coastal city to the point that it is worth building both districts is quite difficult so it doesn't affect gameplay too much most of the time. I also feel like airports should give additional trade route capacity.
@@LINKedup101 I totally agree. I do wish they would reintroduce caravans and ship trade routes from CivV and just add air trade routes. With each kind of trade route giving a different kind of bonus (caravans being able to trade early game with landlocked cities, sea trade routes have higher capacity than caravans, air trade routes receive more tourism, culture and science and less food and production yields). Also you should trade luxury goods with the AI by establishing a trade route, so using a caravan even though you have a sea trade route available makes sense because it might allow you to trade a luxury that is only avalaible from an inland city.
The mOre I think about it the more I think wonders need to be buffed in Civ 6. They’re so much damn commitment and very rarely do they give good stuff. They just need to increase the number of great people points and yields.
This mod pack does awesome things with the industrial zone that Potato won't be able to highlight as the Maori. A bunch of different factories that can make products like corporations can based on the resources the city has control of. But most of these have a positive and a negative you have to balance. It makes industrial zones a lot more interesting.
3:50 "Once i can plant forests i should be able to get the appeal high enough" he says while hovering over a bonus resource as Maori. Oh Potato you make such funny jokes. This is the one thing you consistently forget about the Maori every time you play them. You might need to play one or two more games with them in a row to internalize that demerit of them sufficiently.
@@shinon748 honestly, yes. Make Joshua Tree Nat Park. Conservation making desert and tundra tiles late game powerhouses or at least helpful similar to Mali getting +1 gold trade route for each flat desert tile like more effective solar panels in desert

Awesome video! This mod giving entertainment complexes a gold adjacency is just what they need to be useful. I almost never build them unless I am going for the Colosseum, never seems to be worth it compared to other districts. Really hope the developers incorporate this into the base game. would be great to have a more versatile entertainment complex.

This mod pack is really nice. It gives a fresh coat of paint to the game. New choices to makes. A mod I'd love to see : having eurekas and inspirations being a prerequisite to research rather than a bonus. I think it would make for an interesting game where you have to carve your way through the research trees sometime having to create units or buildings to unlock access to tech.
That’d be sick actually. Have it be eureka, inspirations, and research alliances slightly tweaked maybe. Like if I meet the Maori, I could pay them to receive the ability to research shipbuilding, or gain culture from adjacent foreign cities
@@cozycowboy I agree that selling technology should be an option. It would make science civ funnier instead of just being stupidly linear And it would give money civ more option

Biosphére is so late in the game that I don't think it's a viable strategy, you just won't have enough time to accumulate tourists You'd have to rely on all the other sources to at least have some momentum, but then that wouldn't be biosphére/renewable only
14:48 Pwetty pls settle near your cursor, thats "Krakatoa" or "Anak Krakatau" ;) :) And give that city the name: "I went with a boom" for the memes! xD
100% the same. All my games, I'm playing on chieftain difficulty and half the time get defeated by barbarians or the first civilization I come across. Just try to survive till I get cannons/artillery and then go for world domination.
By being the capital. That city has been there since turn 5 (at which point it already had 2 pop because the Maori get a free pop when they settle their capital to compensate for usually being unable to settle turn 1). As such, even somewhat low food surpluses add up to a pretty high population, at least after getting high growth early from a couple good ocean tiles.
