Many thanks for a really thorough review. To anyone watching this video and complaining, please check out his review as linked in the description, I’m confident you will be as impressed with the detail, as I was
Hi Mark thanks for having my back here - much appreciated. At the same time I have listened to the complaints and as this is quite an old video, I do feel I have improved since making this one. Also keep an eye-out as I am in the process of redoing a video on the Celestron Skymaster series, that will include my thought s on these.
Great tour of the dust rag and neck strap.
Dear uploader
Just one step more.. show us the far object.. then show us how it magnify it by recording the lens itself
Your silence spoke volumes, and the visual aid was very nice. i have been wanting a telescope for years, but might just go this route instead.
Most folk seem to have misunderstood the purpose of this video and are unaware that you can find a review of them in the description.
Great video mate. Cheers from Alberta :)
Hey, thanks- an old video, so not my best - I have improved much since then, but ahnsk for the kind words.
I bought these bins for £70 on Amazon.I wasn't that impressed by them as the Field of View was not as big as I thought it would be,but then I put the eye cups down and Oh my God it was absolutely brilliant. The only gripe I have is the fine focus wheel is quite stiff but that may sort itself out as it gets used more and more.
I felt the same with the focus wheel too.
@@theenglishalpinist5031 Don't do what I did. I sprayed WD 40 on the wheel and it completely ruined them.
@@4760jim oh no that sucks
@@joeishere Believe it or not it wasn't the WD40 that ruined them.I took the binoculars apart and accidentally broke a fitting where you turn the wheel to put the eyepieces in and out....and only one of them works now.The WD40 must have dried out and it went back to normal. If I had just waited everything would have went back to normal.
@@4760jim oh that make sense maybe next time you get binoculars don’t take them apart unless you really know what your doing
thanks for the inputs, very informative
Glad it was helpful and thanks very much for the feedback - much appreciated. Although I have to say this video is now quite old and far from my best :-)
Say something more about that binoculars, how have you felt of using of that equipment for that time?
Thanks for the preliminary look and explanation of the parts of these binoculars. I recently bought a pair, and I'm truly in love with them. I bought a tripod kit that has yet to come, but I've already had a few satisfying (yet jiggly) views of the Moon and Seven Sisters. I can't wait to start viewing and taking pictures. Hoping to get Jupiter, but thinking it may be too late this year. Still...these binoculars are perfect for an introduction to astrophotography and observation. I never got anything like this from my old Sears telescope!
I know why you love it you perv
Awesome channel
Thank you! :-)
I thought this was a great review, I did like how you went through each piece. I wanted a telescope but storage is an issue so I'm gonna go down the binocular route and I think it's this item I'm going to get. Thanks.👍👽
Glad it was helpful and many thanks for the feedback, it is much appreciated. I have both and I have to say that for ease of use and just the simple enjoyment of looking at the stars, I usually go for the binoculars. So to begin with, I personally feel it is the right choice. Any idea as to which binocular you will get?
@@Bestbinocularsreviews I'm thinking about getting either the 25-70 or the 20-80 celestron. They is the 25-100 but they are to expensive for me. I want to look at the moon and Orions belt, any suggestions on which would be the better option. Thanks. 👍👽
@@littlegreenman.6197 20x80.
My pair arrived to and they are very powerful. They are keepers. I am going to look at Comets, Satellites, etc.
Well worth the cost. Just need to find a tripod.
Hi David, thanks for the feedback and the comment - much appreciated. In terms of a tripod, this is what I am using: www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/blog/my-best-tripod-for-binoculars-astronomy-terrestrial-surveillance-04/
@@Bestbinocularsreviews I will look at those. Thanks.
Voice explaining the pros and cons about them would be useful
Yes sorry - a very old video of mine - before I was confident enough to speak on YT! Anyway i am working on an update to this, as my next video so do stay tuned... or better still sub and you will be notified when it goes live ;-)
Dude forget about others, I like your video better than finding in booklet the connector for tripod. Thanks
It is DIOPTER not Dipoter, sorry for making the correction. I am just a foreigner
Thanks for pointing it out - a typo. sorry
can i see MACS0647-JD galaxy with this ?
I would like to opt for the SkyMaster Pro series but it cant be shipped to my country (Philippines). Would the SkyMaster 20x80 be my best alternative?
I was considering on purchasing a telescope but kinda hesitant due to its portability.
Hi, sorry you cant get the SkyMaster Pro series - whilst from the same manufacturer and with a similar name, I would not consider the standard SkyMaster series as an equal alternative - it is most certainly a drop in level. You could consider lookin at an option from different brands which you may be able to get - what about Orion or Bresser - I recently tested a model of their Bresser Spezial Astro SF Binoculars www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/Bresser-Spezial-Astro-SF-15x70-BinocularsReview-261.htm which were very equal in price and quality to the SkyMaster Pros that I also tested: www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/Celestron-SkyMaster-Pro-15x70-Binoculars-Review-259.htm - I hope this helps
I find the tri pod adapter to be very flimsy and flexible, I wonder if there is an alternative material to use
Yes, I agree, for a much better experience the metal tripod adapter that comes with the Celestron SkyMaster Pro series is a big improvement and is what I would certainly recommend over the standard skymasters: www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/Celestron-SkyMaster-Pro-15x70-Binoculars-Review-259.htm
Thank you for your feedback, I definitely will check it out
Cat got his tongue on the part of his opinion of the binocs...
Like the review but would have liked to see through the lens with a phone more than each side of the bag and cleaning cloth.
What kinda mount trigger is that? Really cool to adjust
Hi - It is a Vanguard Pistol Grip - more info on that and all the tripod gear I use is here: www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/blog/my-best-tripod-for-binoculars-astronomy-terrestrial-surveillance-04/
Bom dia.
WOW
Are these good for birdwatching too?
Hi Daniel, Not really, unless you are viewing birds at long distance, so perhaps at places like the coast, riverbank, or looking up into a cliff face they could be ok. You will also need a tripod to get the best results
So the point is to view through the binoculars not only to just look at them.........
Norman R. Thanks for the comment, the review is on the website.
I got that binoculars it cheap around 69.99.
ciao ,secondo voi sono validi i bresser ?
Yes
ma meglio celestron vero?@@Bestbinocularsreviews
These are awsome, but I want to buy the 20×100
Hi Tony, since this review (which I did MANY years ago now) Celestron has now brought out the Skymaster Pro series, which is a little more expensive, but much better quality that I would certainly recommend over the standard Spymaster's if you can stretch your budget a little - to give you an idea, take a look at my review of the Celestron SkyMaster Pro 15x70 Binoculars: www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/Celestron-SkyMaster-Pro-15x70-Binoculars-Review-259.htm
@@Bestbinocularsreviews ok, thank you.
25×100 !!! 🥸
Can I see planets through this?
Hi, Yes, certainly, although remember you can see five of the planets in our solar system (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn) just with your naked eyes - powerful binoculars will give you a little more detail - but you need to be realistic how much detail you can see. Uranus and Neptune are also visible through binoculars, but they appear star-like, without any detail due to their small apparent size: I an article on Viewing Planets Through Binoculars that I recommend you take a look at: www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/blog/viewing-planets-binoculars-02/
Hi Jason. Would you buy a skymaster 25x70 for 70 dollars or a skymaster 20x80 for 110 dollars for astronomy propose?
Hi Renan, thanks for the question. For Astronomy I think I would probably prefer the 20x80 if I had to choose because of the larger lenses and exit pupil size. But it is quite a lot more in price for you, so if that extra amount is worth a lot to you, go for the 25x70. But if you can stretch your budget a little, I would try and reach for a model in the newer Celestron SkyMaster Pro series as you do get a better binocular for not that much more: www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/Celestron-SkyMaster-Pro-15x70-Binoculars-Review-259.htm
Great question and answer. Needed that.
The final 10 seconds shows you just how awful and worthless that tripod adapter must be. I could hand-hold the binocular more steady than that. Get yourself something strong, perhaps made of metal.
I just bought a pair of these and a tripod to go with it, as I guessed I would need one. The immediate disappointment was that it shook like crazy in the breeze, because of the flimsy adaptor. Mars dancing around all over the place, no definition whatsoever, absolutely shit. The entire problem is to get a tripod contraption stable enough for them. Probably need a cantilevered weight system which would cost more than the binoculars themselves. You might just stand a chance on a totally windless night, if you're patient enough to wait a minute for it to stop wobbling every time you make an adjustment. Also, for me if you can't at least see Saturn's ring separate from the planet it is a waste of time; might as well buy a smaller pair, or else invest in a 25x100.
Horrible review dude. How about explaining them a little.
Hi there, thanks for the comment, but this video is not supposed to be a review, rather a "walk-around" to give you an idea of proportions, size etc. If you read the description below it, it says this and it says that you can read the FULL review on the website, with a link to it.
Ironic with the channel name lol
Sorry, but it's a shame you can't talk to describe the details, to get a better prospective. Waste of time otherwise. Quite bizzare really..lol
Hi - Yes, I totally agree - this is now a very old video I made years ago (2013) when I was just starting out and did not yet have the confidence to speak on camera (I do now!) - I have been meaning to update this video, and think I will as these Celeston's are still very popular, so think it would be worth while... stay tuned!
I can understand that. Well done anyway. All the best to you. Cheers.🙂
there is nothing more aggravating then watching some idiot pull apart some binoculars you bought them! so tell me how you feel about it! I as well could put them in front of a money and have them toss them around. still does not tell me a dam thing!
Hi there, thanks for your comment, however if you read the description, you will see that this is a "walk-around video" that is designed to be viewed along side my very detailed review of these Celestron binoculars. In my full review I go over in great detail every aspect of the binocular including how I feel about them. This video is intended to help those interested in buying them get a feel of where things are, sizes and proportions and general just get a better look at them.
If you wanted to criticize his review do it without insulting him. There's no need to call him an idiot. An apology is due here.
Great video if I am deaf, but what if I am blind? Try talking!
Hi Michael - yes sorry - this is now a very old video, you will notice in my new videos, I do now indeed talk.
Do you speak ?
Very old video. Sorry
Two minutes silence for those wait for feild view
Looks like a lousy neck strap.
Yes, I found the accessories with these to be pretty much in-line with their price range - so you do get what you pay for - Not only is the Skymaster Pro Series binoculars better, but so are the accessories and they are not that much more expensive and I personally feel the difference is well worth it: www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/Celestron-SkyMaster-Pro-15x70-Binoculars-Review-259.htm
Doesn't anyone narrate?
