This update fixed my Legion Gos legion space boot crash. I have not had Legion space since the 23H2 Windows update was added on day 1 of ownership (3 months now).
It's nice to have these extra settings but it almost bricked my Go and it was bootloping for like 15 minutes. Also Legion Space still doesn't support ultrawide (the side menu is fine) so it's sucks on my external monitor. Can't wait for a new Lunar Lake or Strix Point alternative so I can sell it, there are just to many problesm adding up.
CP2077 got fsr3 and ingame frame generation today in a new patch. Im testing it for the videos whoch will be coming out between tonight and tomorrow for multiple handhelds. That was 800p Med / Low FSR3 and Frame Gen On
What did mess up for you? Previous update messed up my buttons mapping profile to i went back to Previous version of legion space.. since everything is working now im not gonna update anymore because its true, they mess up things when they add new things
U guys don't have the auto option? I can't seem to get my legion go to game well with out using the auto vram option!!! There's too little ram for the gpu and cpu on these boards!!! :( I'm seriously debating paying someone I k ow 300 to upgrade my legion go to 32gb or 64gb of ram!!! I've seen him do one recently with 64gb!!! I don't think there's really a huge need for more then 32gb but imagine being able to reserve 8-12gb just for vram!!! Would make these handhelds run so much better, smoother and more reliable in high ram usage games!!!
@@bbeal2325 i returned my legion go and traded it back into best buy for a lenovo legion 5 slim gaming laptop that I got a great deal on as a open box item. It originally sold at the time I bought on clearance for $1350 and I paid $731. Since I got my legion go on sale for $650 I had to add a lil bit of money on top but I feel it was completely worth it. The laptop has a very similar apu but its the ryzen 5 7640hs with the 760m igpu plus a Nvidia rtx 4060 gpu and pretty much similar specs with display but 16inchs and 144hertz 1200p resolution. For some reason the laptop runs on its internal 760m way better then my legion go did with its typically better performing 780m. I think that's very likely due to the fact that the lower compute count 760m gets up to 70watts at times on its own in the laptop form factor. By the way the laptop also has the same amount of built in ram as the legion go but its slower and also im able to upgrade it as its not soldered on. I still find the 16gb of ram to be too little as even in this form im consistently using 90 percent or more of the ram but I think the igpu may benefit some from the built in vram for the Nvidia gpu some how or atleast it seems that way to me. Still im astonished by just how much better this 760m performs then the 780m despite having less compute units. That being said the rtx 4060 blows both out the water but its shocking to see just how close the igpu is coming to the 4060s level of performance. In terms of fps its not that far off but in terms of handling higher quality graphics resolutions the usage of built in vram makes the 4060 still outshine the 760m (wouldn't have built in vram without the 4060 typically)
This update broke my controllers both of them updated after the Legion space update. Controllers shows connected but non responsive and shows firmware L000000000 and R00000000 logged a ticket with Lenovo
Having trouble trying to open my legion space it will go black and back to home screen and the other button for opening the side options any suggestions?
First thing I would try is downloading space from the support sote and reinstalling. I uave never had to fix space luckily. But I also factory reset and start over from time to time to keep my devices clean for testing so problems dont rly build up for me.
I don't see why they don't just make it so we can run the apu at its max wattage if we have it plugged in!!! There's a few videos showing these can handle up to around 60 watts sustained when plugged in and that it benefits games that use it significantly!!! The apu can't boost all the cpu and igpu cores to their max at the same time with just 30watts!!! A lot of people don't understand how damn little energy that is in terms of computers that are running games goes!!! If you use 3rd party software you can unlock it in the bios, lenovo locks us out of being able to make those changes. They can easily give us a bios option for 60watts picked mode!!!
@@SpreadingKnowledgeVlogs unfortunately the main reason for this is likely thermals. The size of these devices are much smaller and tighter than larger devices like laptops. And even many laptops with insufficient cooling will throttle down. Rly depends on the build. But controlling the thermals in these smaller devices with smaller fans and much less area to spread out and remove heat is difficult. Double the watts to 60 from 30 on a legion go and she gonna cook and need to drastically throttle to prevent overheating
@@GameTechPlanet you realize the go is capable of going up to 60 watts when you unlock it though right? There's a few videos on RUclips from users that have done it. But I recently got a lenovo legion 5 slim gaming laptop with a amd ryzen 5 7640hs 760m igpu and rtx 4060, and when I set it to run just the 760m igpu (which is very similar and technically should be worse then the legion gos 780m igpu) it boosts and holds up to 70watts on the gpu itself and man does that make it run worlds better then the legion go despite using hardware thats spec is worse!!! Yes the laptop has much much better thermals so what your saying with thermals makes a lot of sense and I agree with you there. But I just would like a easier way to use the max amount available to us without have to use 3rd party softwares to do so. I know the legion go can handle 60watts without throttling if your okay with the fan constantly running at 100% which if your using in a docked situation likely wouldn't be a huge deal. I just wish lenovo gave us that option. It does seem like lenovo is slowly moving in that direction though as the last bios update gave us the ability to adjust the boost up to 45watts. The original pre production legion gos were rumored to run at 45watts constantly and that makes more sense with the 65 watt charger.
@@SpreadingKnowledgeVlogs Is that handling 60W while charging? Because charging at high speeds generates a lot of heat on top of the APU. Even if it can handle it there's going to be a tradeoff for device longevity. Lenovo is likely going the conservative route following a standard CYA policy.
@@NiSE_Rafter I Imagine due to the fact that the device is capable of utilizing a 100watt charger that the reason for that being possible was to allow for more head room for charging while still being able to go up to the z1 extremes max tdp of 60watts i think the z1 extreme is actually capable of handling over 60watts just on the cpu side alone while the gpu side could probably handle another 60 watts but if using both to that range at the sametime the temps probably get way to hard to control. The legion go in its current configuration can handle running at a constant overall 60watts between cpu and the gpu aka overall apu wattage but would likely need to have the fan pegged to full speed when doing so and hence why a docked mode would be the likely use case. Charging while using that much power would likely be no too smart like you mention as it already manages to get really hot while charging and current average usage but that would be up to the user to keep ini mind.

Since legion go is current and fairly new they won’t release new one anytime soon just to kill the sales of the go
I got 512GB for 525 USD. Keep an eye on them. They go on sale. Not often but they do.
I got it for 2 weeks now, and I'm loving it. I played connected to a monitor with keyboard and mouse, I played with just the controllers in my hands and with the legion go on my hand and it's very good. The fact that its a PC with windows you have no trouble playing what you want.
I'm playing first descendents and world of warcraft no problems, soon going to try same offline single player games as well
My legion space fps osd counter not working anymore after updating... the osd just on "need fullscreen" status
The legion go is a complete mess, they can never get updates done correctly, it just fucks everything up every time, what a fucking joke
