Bf5 is a better game than most gave it credit for. Had it not been for the PR debacle at launch it would have done really well. I like it better than 2042 but then again im not into future weapons' myself. Would love some GAMMA vids Dave if you have time.
Besides the lack of content compared to BF1, the problem BFV had was definitely that bad PR. Truthfully, it is really one of the best FPS games I have played within the past decade.
Agree, I do prefer BF1 myself. The hole PR thing with the hole identity politics wierd thing pushing a narrativ turn me off and was and still is a big thing for me personnally. But yes, it is a beautiful game non the less.
Only problem with bf5 is that whenever I try to level up my planes, there are always level 200+ sweats with maxed out planes so it makes it impossible to do anything

I swear this always happens with Battlefield games. Battlefield 4 sucked when it came out and for a while everyone played Battlefield 3, then Hardline sucked so everyone played Battlefield 4. Then many people remained on BF4 when Battlefield 1 came out untill Battlefield V was out when many people played Battlefield 1. Now we have Battlefield 2042 which is also not that good but many people now play Battlefield V.
Players cannot decide on what they like, they put so much hate on battlefield v for how bad it was at launch which is why I think what made DICE make the full conclusion to shut down the game and work on 2042, same went for 2042, but DICE decided to continue on the game, which frustrates me, battlefield v was wrongly left abandoned, and had good potential.
tbh this game had its moments but it really struggled to create the absolutely chaotic slugging matches bf1 constantly could. I found in BFV It was more running around trying to find the action getting into a few skirmishes here and there and then the game ends and honestly It killed the game for me.

I'd love for the next bf game to have voip and command chat kinda like hell let loose and squad. It just makes it more fun communicating with people around you, yea there's probably gonna be a lot of toxic ppl but for ppl who like to make call outs and strategize it will feel much more rewarding
The woman you have to save in the campaign is one of the worst characters ever. No rational choices. Decided to wait for the enemy to surround them, get caught 10x times over and throw her daughter off a bride instead of just escaping.
Not going to happen but since EA/Dice gave up with 2042 they should just come back to this game, V definitely had a lot more potential just waiting to be tapped into
Hi! Im new to BF. i got it for a cuple of days ago. i payd 4$ in steam. When i start it, it says that i have to update the interface. i press update and it got stuck on 97%. i press cansle and restart the game to see if somthing change. now the update button does not work anymore... I searth for solutions for this and i get some awnser on EA but thous "Awnser" are not even related... i get many vaige fixes for a pile of problems but no fix for this. pls help me.
No please don't make me redownload this great game. The BF series has been such a fun experience growing up, I don't know if I can do it again since it had fallen off my radar.

I been running the Ju88 plane and carpet bomving like crazy still in this game and it’s been so fun but I think enlisted and hell let loose is on console now which I think is pretty popular esp vs bf2042 that trash game
I played it for about 100 hours when it launched and I kind of hated it, so I uninstalled and forgot all about it. I reinstalled it a couple of days ago after hearing a lot of good things. Played about 5 hours, uninstalled again. I can't stand it. I don't know, not my game. I love all previous BF games, but this one just doesn't click with me at all.
Can’t help but think that if they had added a suppression system like in Squad and slowed the player movement a bit this game could of actually been quiet good. Instead we got EA’s ridiculous interpretation of WW2 with added ladies 😂
Yeah but its still chock full of hackers unfortunately. Good luck finding a match without 3 or 4. Dice is doing nothing about this so they have complete free reign to hack extremely obviously. They dont even try to hide it. Occasionally you do find a hackerless server and its great but its rare. Then the load times between quitting a match with a hacker and looking for a new match without a hacker is so long even with SSD
I’m a little quick to the comments but if any of you are on Xbox and would wanna run a good coms squad I’d love to experience that, good spotters for planes and tanks , etc fun stuff I love getting good spot call outs when in a plane, and then holding down a Point good and building reinforcements
This and BF4 is the only battlefield I play. I’m on console and there are still atleast 5-8 servers full every day. Don’t kid yourself in joining the BS new battlefield.

I've been playing BF5 nonstop glad to see new people are joining. NO SBMM and server options it is refreshing.

I've played about 6hrs of 2042. Even now I think it's awful. Compared to the hundreds of hrs I've got on BF1 4 and 5

Also vehicle game play just didn't feel fun at all and I love tankin so that was another nail in the coffin
I hear ya tell you what try breakthrough it keeps the game moving and gets nice and intense
That's why I only played the Breakthrough or Grand Operation modes for V, it actively encouraged players to get into the action

I loved this game, I just hated the stupid heroes system and the voiceovers. I wish they chose more than 1 voice actor per force.
The worst is seeing that Captain Haddock character on the battlefield, like wtf it kills the immersion

BF4 and 1 used to be my top fav BF games, but now, after I came back for BF5 after the pacific, it’s still my favorite game

its not just a good game - people enjoy simple settings like WW2 in complicated times like today.
As much as I enjoy BF5, the cheaters ruin it for me, there is no anti cheat in the game so getting a good server is a toss up
