Unfortunately, Victoria's road rules have not been updated to consider the new bike lane layouts and there's an old rule that says that a bicycle rider must not pass to the left of a vehicle that is turning left. Before protected bike lanes, bicycle riders would pass to the right. In this situation, my suggestion is to let the vehicles ahead of you turn left, but stick your arm out to drivers behind to signal that you will proceed straight ahead of them. Thank you for the excellent ride , it reminds my cycle around in Melbourne back in 2017. Love watching more from you !
Where is the road rules guide that tells you what to do if your going straight at an intersection and there is cars turning left and stuff like that?
