Hello Kerry77 - thank you for watching our video and for your comment 💚 Ox-eye daisies are vigorous as you know and so keep cutting back before they set seed during the growing season to help, hoeing and digging helps too Have a great rest of the week All the best Melanie and John 🌸
Really interesting I notice yours were in shade do they mind shade I have a bit of garden I am trying to grow wild flowers in and would like some Oxe eye daises there too. Can they grow easily from seed. I have some in the front garden that have not really flowered at all but are in the sun hence my question. Thank uou
Hello Bernadette - thanks for for watching our video 😊 Ours are in part shade but they do normally grow in full sun - please keep trying All the best 🌻
I know it’s invasive but can’t think of a more beautiful invasion. Am surrounded by scorched earth gardens , just witnessed mowing of a patch of yellow flowers and poppies outside a garage. All that is left is dead grass. Grrrr
Hello Patricia - thank you for watching and for your comment 💚 It is amazing looking around how manicured some places are! All the best Melanie and John 🌸
Do you know how long it will take for them to grow back again after cutting down like this? Mine are now incredibly droopy so I think it’s about time. Will it be the following year or again in a few months? It’s my first year of these after growing from seed. Also thank you for this video, it’s very helpful 🙂
Hello Jessicajjh - thank you for watching and for your comment 💚 If the weather is good they may flower again but if not they will make nice plants for next year Have a great weekend All the best Melanie and John 🌸
Hello @Simonjames49 - thank you for watching and for your interesting question: John cuts them back once they have finished flowering - unless you want to save seed of course We rarely get a second flush but cutting back does improve the plant for the next year We hope this has been of help Have a great rest of the week All the best Melanie and John 🌸
🌼We love ox eye daisies - a great reminder of lazy Summer days! 🌼

Only just come across this video. At what point (month)did you bring the ox eyed daisies down so as to get a new flush?
