Insomniac perfectly understands Spider-Man and Peter Parker. He isn't thwip thwip beat up bad guys, he's a friend of the people. This game is amazing.
THe comic writers just want spiderman to suffer, not triumph through adversity.
He’s the friendly neighborhood spiderman
@@TimTams_64It's also a lot of the fans' fault for giving them that suggestion
@@Luqueta200Yeah 💕💕
Well he is both
He helps his people and beats up bad guys, it's just that sometimes they forget about the first.
"How did you propose?"
That right there is proof that he wants to ask MJ the question.
Yess. I was waiting the whole game. Hopefully in the next one they get married or have a baby 🤞… or both!!!
@@eedvard6014it would work if Norman is goblin and wants peter to feel his pain of losing his wife and child
Definitely will in the third game.
Definitely setting up for that storyline! @@ATalesTruth-
@@eedvard6014it will probably happen between the second and third games, Peter’s gonna retire, marry MJ, maybe Mayday is born, and then he comes out of retirement to fight the Goblin and Otto alongside Miles and Silk
"I know I'm fading. It's scary as hell. I thought I'd be ready for it, but nothing gets you ready."
As someone who as at most 10 good years left, this hit me pretty hard.
I’m not sure if its because you’re older, or because of sickness, but whatever the reason, I hope you can still make the most of that time as best you can 💖
Just... live?
Hope you can enjoy those years as much as you can. Have a nice day
You’re loved, even by complete strangers who share common interest. Enjoy the game man
Poor brother hope you allah will give you more time inshallah 🙏🏽
“I know I’m fading. It’s scary as hell. Thought I’d be ready but nothing gets you ready… nothing”
so heart wrenching but so human
Insomniac really got us crying over a side quest NPC. 😢
im glad i wasnt the only one! haha
Phew. I thought it was just me
Facts!
Twice in one game at that.
The most Spider-Man feeling EVER!
This and both Howard's side mission is such a nice callback to Peter's relationship with his uncle and aunt.
Nice to see another Kamen Rider fans here
True, these little moment are what making Spidey great
No it's not
@@IronheartvsMilesEven then they're still awesome side missions.
@@IronheartvsMilesOh look at ol' brick the buzzkill here who has no imagination. Even if they weren't as obvious of a reference to Ben and May, they all had the life those two would've had and Peter as their child.
@@annoying_HK_guyBatman and Spidey helped made tokusatsu the way it is today. It'll be a shame to not pay the respects necessary.
I love how even after Pete found him he still chose to sit and talk with him. He didn't have to but he did.
That's what I love about Spider-Man.
Reminds me of one of his exchanges with May
"You don't have to do that"
"I know. But I want to"
He's not called the 'Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man' for nothing.
This perfectly embodies the spirit of Spider Man !
that's why I love spider man he's there for anyone who needs him
Howard, grandpa earl, the photography girl…
Man these side missions are so much better.
The photo help mission is my favorite one since it hits home for Peter down memory lane
Bro even the side-missions are 10x better in this game. Insomniac. You have outdone yourselves
I’m glad insomniac includes moments like this. Sitting here and talking to an old man who’s lost and confused is the most Spider-Man thing you could do.
“It’s like I blinked. And she’s gone” god damn that’s a line that hits so fucking hard
"I dont know much, but I know that she loved you."
My heart broke so hard.
Miss my grandparents and mom.
I was CRYIN' over this, this fit Peter so much more than it did on Miles
Yess, hopefully he will ask MJ to marry him in the next game🤞!!
@@eedvard6014And finally give Peter the happy ending he deserves
@@Rider_2002Peter Parker? Happy Ending? The universe will never allow this!
@@Rider_2002the goblin is coming set on revenge
@@dylancahill6522 The Itsy-Bitsy Spider went up the water spout~
They nailed the friendly in "friendly neighborhood spider-man"
I genuinly nearly cried at this. Felt more emotion than any moment in the main story 😭
well the main story did not have any sad moments this time
I cried. Big cry.
Liar
I was super baked during this scene so the water works were definitely activated 😢
That's how you know the story of this game wasn't as good as the first. Aunt May death had me in tears, Harry did not.
This scene absolutely broke my heart way too hard. In a bittersweet way, not bad or anything… I just immediately thought of my Uelo’s (grandpa in English) passing and broke into tears. Damn. Love this game, this franchise, everything about it.❤
My condolences
May he lived on to your memories
lost my grandpa last year summer while i was serving in the army this hit close to home for me too may they all rest in eternal peace ❤️
It’s also sad because Peter is the last Parker
yet
Til Mayday arrives
@@assassinsknightHopefully in the next game🤞
Let's pray for mayday
Well I think him and MJ are gonna 🛌
Didn’t expect this, made me think of my grandmother when we lost her, never seen my grandfather cry till that day and just was just so much. Man gotta give props to insomniac for this!
I also lost my grandmother the last December. Man, I understand you how it feels with this mission, hugs.
THIS this right here is Spider-Man at his best, he isn't fighting an alien invasion or an army of cosplaying lunatics hes just sitting down with an old man who just wanted someone to talk too, why? Because no act of heroism is too small for him. He treats it as the same seriousness as saving a life
A hero is just someone trying to do the right thing.
god this mission made me cry from how amazingly written it was.
A Spider-Man game isn’t supposed to make me contemplate death. Hell of a side mission.
Does anyone else feel like Peter doing this mission and Howard's is canon. I dunno, feels much more connected with Pete's struggles throughout these last two games. Those two were the only side missions to make me cry except Brok's funeral.
Yeah. The one with Howard for sure. I thought it would've connected with Miles too, but it's like this mission was meant for Peter. So this one too
This mission reminded me of my late Abuelo Roberto. I was 12 years old when he moved back to Nicaragua and then he died a few years later in 2015.
When Earl said "My eyes blinked and she was gone"... that hit me. Reminded me of my Abuelo.
Yeah this scene made me cry. Was not expecting such a deep conversation at all. Love this game
Having lost my grandmother suddenly earlier this year, this mission hit pretty hard. Reminds me of my grandpa and how it’s been for him without her. A lot of reflecting but man has he told me so many great stories about the two of them. So many new ones I never heard when I was younger. Thank you for this mission Insomniac. I needed it.
I miss and love you grandma.
Condolences about your grandmother. I hope you and everyone affected by the loss of her heal and find peace.
I lost my grandmother on the first of the year and just within a year of my dad as well. My grandpa passed back in 2013 and my mom never stopped taking care of her until the end. I miss her dearly but she lived a life full of love and grace.
She married a kind, wonderful man, had 4 children with him, watched me and 6 other cousins grow into adults and even got to meet a few great grandkids. Not everyone gets anything that fulfilling but I'm glad I got to be a part of it.
Man I just finished this mission 3 minutes ago. That whole line of “I know I’m fading” is just so sad and scary.. I’m barely into my 30s but I can only imagine when you get up in age how it feels
While unrelated, this quote from the newest Jumanji rings true 'Growing old is a gift'. While the idea your time is near is frightening, to be able to live long enough that that's your only fear is truly a blessing and should never be taken for granted.
I just played this mission in the game earlier today, and I shed some tears during the conversation Earl and Spider-Man had while sitting on the bench.
This scene / mission hits hard for me because I’m helping taking care of my father in his elderly years. It reminds me of my father’s mind going away bit by bit daily and having to see it.
Hugs to you 😭🥺🥺
@@tomboyraider1015 Thanks🙏
This + Howard’s mission perfectly illustrate why Spider-Man is so popular and beloved.
Im not crying you are😭😭😭
Oh... I wished both future MCU Spider-Man & animated Spider-Verse movies will incorporate such scenes. This is the kind of friendly neighborhood aspect that we've never seen before, & it's so relatable in a vastly different way.
We saw tiny glimpses of this in Homecoming & ATSV, but I wish we got more.
My grandmother who passed was like this before she died this mission hit hard for me because I know how anyone who takes care of an elderly person in this state feels its deep man you know there going but theres nothing you can do other then be there for them 😢
I was on my phone lookin at random things then grandpa started talking why does this game freakin give you a reality check like that 10/10 game would recommend 😢
This quest had me in tears. It's so sad to lose someone you love.
This shit got me choked up a bit. Came out of nowhere to. Fucking love this game and Spiderman.
This made me cry so hard. Did NOT expect this hitting the way it did it all.
Even if im not really into love stuff, this guy made it worth listening to it especially because of his friendly voice, he seems so pure at his age and i wish him an eternal sleep of peace when his time comes to an end
There's nothing more pure than true love. When a couple last for decades and still love each other like they're still dating, there's nothing more beautiful and nothing more heartbreaking than when one of them dies and the look of total loneliness on the other.
It’s not Spider-Man without the Friendly Neighborhood.
did this one as miles, both VAs are incredible this gane
Miles improved a lot since the last game, I like how different they approach this scene, Peter seems like he’s there for comfort, while miles seems to be there listening like chatting to family, man this game is amazing
I did this mission as Miles and it was just as emotional as Peter
On my first playthrough now, played this mission as Miles. Nearly made me cry ngl, such a pure, human moment. In a world of thwips, vultures, aliens, and extemely badass hunters, its the human moments that get me most ❤
This is so heartwarming. They’ve really put a lot more feeling into the side missions. This put a warm smile on my face the first time I played it.
I actually cried during this mission
I did this mission. Now I miss my grandpa more. Miss ya grandpa.
"Video games make you violent!!!"
The video game:
This and Howard’s mission really made me love and appreciate Insomniac for these games. They really get Spider-Man, and show the deeper side of him.
Oh man, the music here just elevates it so much. I really want a full BGM honestly
it’s the music man, once you hear that piano get ready for the tears
This mission showd me that you dont have jump through hoops to help someone sometimes all someone needs is someone to talk to and listen to them
This was a beautiful mission, this is one of the reasons why spider man is truly the definition of a hero
This scene is why this joyride is GOTY material.
When someone extraordinary does something ordinary has an impact like no other
That was beautiful 🥹
"I know I'm fading, it's scary as hell. thought I'd be ready but... nothing gets you ready."
...........
you already made peak cinematography with the Symbiote Stuff and Kraven and all that.
you already made me emotional with the death of Howard the Pigeon-Keeper.
you didn't need to perfectly encapsulate existential dread and fear of death in life all at the same time. all while reminding me of what I went through with my own Grandfather less than 5 years ago.
it's like they did the inverse of the first game where the majority of the main story is tragedy and an overall Sad Ending and the Side Quests were normally Super Uplifting.
This time the main story has a much more uplifting ending and all the side quests ]primarily are either sad as all living fuck like this and Howard's, or The Prowler stuff is super upsetting about Miles's Dad and how much they all really miss him. (obviously I'm ignoring the quests like collecting Spider-Bots or Bashing Symbiotes and the stuff that's direct sequel bait with "The Flame" but I digress.)
Having a grandparent that went through the same thing made this hurt so much more. :.(
I played this mission as Miles, and a tear almost escaped seeing Miles and Earl talking. This is such a great mission.
I remember last time I saw this clip I was still in south Africa I teared up...skip a few months later I'm in the uk pursuing my dreams to be an actor and this scene still hits the same.
He will always be our number one friendly spidey ❤
👏👏👏😢😢😢❤️❤️❤️ beautiful mission, only two missions with this emotion. Yet both moving and memorable, definitely a great Spider-Man mission. It shows his care for the people in they’re saddest moments & he tries to help anyway he can ❤❤❤❤😢😢🥲.
This breaks me everytime, appreciate what you have fellas and ladies, life's a one time experience
6:03 I kinda love how chill he is with a senior citizen how can you hate this character honestly
Thanks to this and Howard’s mission I’ll be sending Insomniac my therapy bill.
There are obviously no wrong answers... But of the 2 emotional side missions, I feel its perfect if you do Howard mission with Peter and Grandpa mission with Miles. Both Spidermen taking care of their community.
Howard has to be done with Pete. There's just no other way. He was there in the first game so it'd make sense to have that beautiful send off with Pete
😢
The details are crazy. I was playing as Miles and the conversation is similar but the script for Miles and Peter are different. Amazing side quest.
“You’re crying from a Spider-Man side mission?”
“The old man got to me!”
Thanks for posting this. I did this as Miles and was wondering how the conversation went with Peter. Really got me in the feels. Reminds me of how my mom is now.
This legitmately made me tear up.
Side missions are always the best
One of the most beautiful scenes I've ever seen in a video game ever😢😢😢😢
This mission had no right to be as emotional as it was
I cried twice this game. The other one was the Howard mission. And I started two different sessions saying to myself. This is now how I expected this to go
Picking the controller back up. Second session with the game. 8 am. This mission just gut punched me. My gram died before my pap, and it gutted him. We lost him three years later. He had started to fade too. This mission here really got me on why these stories make Spider-man my all-time favorite. This was so human.
Future live action Spider-Man movies needs scenes like this, he’s not just a crime fighting superhero, he’s a friendly neighborhood hero who helps and makes time for the people of New York.
Its the music man! THE MUSIC!!!
this is my definitive spiderman theme and always will be
Im left speechless wow beautiful im crying man
I cried so hard at this. He reminded me of my grandpa. And my grandma died over 10 years ago. Knowing my grandpa is also fading just made it worse for me :(
This mission abd the howard mission are 2 great missions
This is hands down the best spidey version in a long time
The side missions add to the "friendly neighborhood" motif that Spider-Man's known for.
That man was preaching right there 🙏🥹
This quest hits the spot
emotional piece.
yet I have to say, those who love animals, shall not like the zoos
I do not agree with you on this one. A good zoo complex creates perfect conditions for animals to live a much more steady and overwhelming life than in the wilds. People serve them with food and provide all the necessary medicine to make sure they will feel fine and always have a home to live calm, instead of risking their life just to fight for another day on this earth.
Beatifull quest!
Imagine one day one of the greatest super hero of all time comes to check on you and sit w at the park thats epic. Obviously there are many places spiderman could be - peter is the true embodiment of a super hero
I remeber playing this with the weather being the sunset...man that was......
right in the feels
Realest convo 😭
How dare they make me cry during this side mission.
Who the HELL! put these onions here!
I proposed to my wife in a similar situation to this man. I played this mission and almost teared up. I never would have felt that a few years ago. But having a significant other makes me realise how lucky I am. To enjoy the moments I have with my partner while it’s still there
Because one day, it will all go
I did this as miles and felt emotional a little
I'm not crying you're crying
just by seeing this Mission and Howard's, you understood who Spider-Man really was, you understood the character, he's not just a Hero who spins webs and swings from building to building to fight venom, yes it's true it's all cool.
But Spider-Man is a deeply human Hero, he's not Iron Man or Thor, he's Spider-Man, your nice neighborhood neighbor.
If we had to give an appearance a word Hero Spider-Man would be a perfect representation, that's why he remains and will remain in my heart.
This this right here is one make Spider-Man the best superhero
This mission hits different at night
Not gonna lie, I teared up at this mission.
Gavin J. Konop, take notes!
It's crazy how there's a fan film out there that wants us to think that Spider-Man needs to be a sad sack riddled in tragedy, only for both this game and Across the Spider-Verse to go, "Well actually..."
@@MaximumSpider19 thank you!
And here I thought there were just a bunch of edgy spider man fans in the comments that loved venom being a villain
Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s satisfying too but it’s also refreshing to know you guys still have a heart
Ayo, Spider-Man just walked off with Grandpa Earl's inhaler like it was nobody's business!
