The main weakness of the 49ers’ offense is the right side of the offensive line. They don’t pass protect very well, allowing too much pressure on Purdy’s pass plays. Also, the defense will have to play up to their ability, instead of playing at half-effort, as in the first half of the Detroit game.

@@erictempleton7703 For the Ravens and the Browns, it was the coverage that made the difference. Against the Bengals he put up 400 total yards with a 71% completion rate
Pass rush doesn't rattle Purdy. He got sacked 4 times against the Buccs and put up a perfect passer rating. You gotta beat that passing game in coverage. With the 49ers talent, that means linebackers and safeties in addition to CBs, which is why the Ravens did so well with Roquan Smith, Patrick Queen, and Kyle Hamilton.
I agree with Chris the key comes down to the run game. The Shanahan offense, going back to Mike, centers on the run game. Look at the back to back Super Bowls the Broncos won on the back of Terrell Davis, one of the great runners in NFL history.

Interesting, but Purdy goes through his reads extremely quickly already and was the best QB this season when pressured. Just like the season, what will win this game for SF is the balance of run and pass and the D holding up their end.
We saw Mahomes vs the Buccaneers be sped up and it did not turn out great for him. What if the 49ers speed up Mahomes? Love that the narrative is still anti Purdy. The ultimate factor will come down to one factor and the ultimate play. the team that loses will not win and thus the other team win. This will hands down be the ultimate factor
Ultimate deciding factor? For that I give you the 49ers game plan on offense: Use McCaffrey early and often to establish the run in order to open up the passing game and to keep the Chiefs offense off the field as long as possible. Also substitute Mitchell and Mason. Interestingly, when the Cowboys found a way to contain CMC, Mason churned out his best performance of the season. Mason averages 5.2 yards per carry and scored a TD every 13.3 carries and hasn't fumbled the ball a single time this season. By comparison, CMC averages 5.4 YPC and scores TD every 19.4 carries. So using Mason may not be a bad option. However, If Chiefs load the box to prevent CMC from running wild, like Dallas did, the Niners need to implement play-action pass for Brock who'll torch them in the passing game. Niners need to take what the Chiefs give them. When Dallas found a way to contain CMC by loading the box--Brock torched them with 4 passing TDs. Niners need to utilize the play-action pass more frequently against the Chiefs, which they failed to do against the Lions. Brock is virtually unstoppable using play-action with a near 80% completion rate and 10.7 yards per attempt and close to 140 RTG during the regular season. 49ers keys to victory on defense: Put a linebacker on Kelce near the line of scrimmage to bump-and-run him hard on every play, to keep him off-balance, then double team Kelce to neutralize him. Jerry Rice said to double him 100 percent. If refs don't call holding penalties against Chiefs O-line, 49ers coaches better call them out, for this could mean the difference between winning and losing, as it will neutralize the 49ers pass rush which is vital especially against Mahomes whom the Niners will have to put pressure on in the pocket and will help prevent Pacheco from running uncontested in the backfield. Of course, 49ers defensive linemen need to play to their full potential to make this work. Linebacker Warner must continue reading the offense and tackling opposing RBs from behind scrimmage. Niners cornerback Lenoir needs to be a shut-down corner like he was against Amon-Ra St. Brown of the Lions and do the same with Rashee Rice. While safety Gipson is doing well in the postseason, the safeties need to up their game and fly around the field like Hufanga did before he got injured to match the competitiveness of the Chiefs safeties, Reid, Conner, Edwards and Bush who are putting up sacks, TFLs, PDs and INTs, becoming the unsung heroes of the Chiefs' defense in the postseason.
My concern with Purdy is can he really thread the needle on outside throws. When I watch SF, it looks like the overwhelming majority of their pass patterns/completions are over the middle stuff. It makes me think of their 2019 offense in that regard. Like, if that's taken away, can he make those truly special throws enough to win. That's my concern with him. I'm praying for a San Fran win btw, I'm no hater, this is just what I see
Deebo needs carries and fakes as well. Kyle needs to bring out a little bit of all the stops over the past 4 years. Kyle also needs to be Kyle for 3-4 hours not your average nfl head coach. The players will get it done it’s up the coaches to trust the players and call what league hasn’t been able to stop for years.
This game is going to come down to how well CMC can run the ball and advance it on short passes. It is absurd the level that the national media is sleeping on this guy. Chris gets it. McCaffrey can single-handedly take over games and he's done it against way better defenses than this. If the Niners get this win, don't be surprised that it's because CMC has an all-galaxy, MVP performance.
I think in the first two series, Brock should accept a sack if the o-line can't keep the Chiefs off him. That might be better than trying to play fast and make mistakes if you don't have to. If they get to him under the normal pace of Brock's reads, then ok,, you gotta speed it up, but at least you know.
Let's play our own What If game. Let's say both Mahomes (7 Y/A) and Purdy (9.6 Y/A and Pacheco (4.6 yards per carry) and CMC (5.4 yards per carry) play to their season. Mahomes is 24 out of 35 for 245 yards with Pacheo rushing for 92 yards on 20 carries. Purdy is also 24 out of 35, but for 336 yards with CMC rushing for 108 yards on 20 carries. That should give the Niners one more touchdown and the game. Most people don't realize that the Niners still had over 400 yard in the Ravens' game. There are many other factors that affect the outcome - field goal misses, turnovers, etc. Niners should win unless the commit more turnovers. Will be a good game. If Purdy plays to his season average, can people finally accept that he is a good QB? As for Purdy's scrambling ability, did any of you experts realize that down 17 at half in the NFC championship with nothing to lose that Shanahan finally gave Purdy the green light? Did anyone think that a 7th round draft pick was told not to scramble his rookie year? And coming of major surgery, Shanahan did not want to risk an injury?
The 28-3 OC… the HC that won 3of4 quarters of Andy Reid’s first Super Bowl! Nah, not betting on that guy at all. Bring on the cheeseburgers, trophy’s and rings!
So then, what's the difference between 'average' and 8th worst' in YPC? 1 yard? 1.5 yards? And this is what's going to win the game for the Niners? And the reason teams run on the Chiefs is because they are the best in pass coverage, so...........

For the Niners, if they do not get good games from Deebo AND CMC, they will likely lose. On Defense, better git Patrick and like dude said keep Patrick on the bench. He's their whole team, more so than Purdy.
My answer is Turnovers by Purdy. If he doesn't throw picks, Niners win. Purdy is possibly the fastest processer in the league right now. The dude has a 132 rating under pressure...so it ain't pressure. If Purdy doesn't throw multiple picks in a game, the 49ers win the game. The only time they lost with 1 interception or less is the Browns game where the kicker missed 2 field goals including the game winner and they lost by 2. 8 of his 11 interceptions during the regular season came in 3 games, 3 losses and he put his team in position to win one of those at the end...missed field goal again. The Bangels and the Ravens games are the exceptions to the amazing first year by this kid, not the standard. The Cheifs defense will need to get to Purdy, not just pressure him. I don't think a reliance on CMC more than any other game that they have played is the key. The key is outside the numbers, if you can spread that defense and keep dropping 7-15 yard passes on the sidelines, then it will be seam throws and the CMC Show the rest of the way. If SF defense plays like they did in the second half of the Championship game. It could be a long day for the Chiefs. Mahomes will have to trust his other receivers and they will need to make plays, because if this turns into a shootout, he just doesn't have the weapons that Purdy does.
Go ahead and force Purdy from the pocket. He'll scamper away like a bunny. Anyone who has been around rabbits knows that you can't catch it unless it let's you. Have any of you watched his college highlights? So now you have the most accurate passer on short or long throws running to unknown parts of the field. What a nightmare for the Chiefs defensive coach. This game may come down to who has the ball last. It is going to be a great Superbowl. I have homes in Missouri and California so I support both teams.
Wrong it doesn't matter if Brock throws for 500 yards and 6 TD. Mahomes will just throw for 500 and 6 TD Super Bowl will come down to 49ers defensive front 4 putting pressure on Mahomes No pressure then 49ers lose It looks like Chiefs win as this would be the first Super Bowl game where two Ohio State players Bosa and Young succeeded

For the Niners, if they do not get good games from Deebo AND CMC, they will likely lose. On Defense, better git Patrick and like dude said keep Patrick on the bench. He's their whole team, more so than Purdy.
The Niners will win big if they stick to running the rock.
TJ brought the script 🤣
That wasn't true about the Ravens, Purdy doesn't get rushed....
It will all come down to penalties and turnovers. Watch and see. 👍
Purdy telegraphs and guesses on a lot of his throws. The blitz from a good defense like the Chiefs will confuse him
Now the Swifties are also established at Rich. Very unfortunate. I can no longer hear or see the stuff. I skip it
Go ahead and force Purdy from the pocket.
It’ll come down to Deebo being the SB58 MVP that’s what.
Master volume is low
Will Ref call the game fair? Will they call holding on KC OL who lead the league. I see niners defense show up and ball out
Wrong it doesn't matter if Brock throws for 500 yards and 6 TD. Mahomes will just throw for 500 and 6 TD
Super Bowl will come down to 49ers defensive front 4 putting pressure on Mahomes
No pressure then 49ers lose
It looks like Chiefs win as this would be the first Super Bowl game where two Ohio State players Bosa and Young succeeded
Niners D shows up and the Chiefs dont and cant score 24 points.
The deciding factor will be if the 49ers can sack Mahomes properly in the ref's eyes.
Chris Brockman is a certified chief hater, I dig it, the chiefs took over his patriots and they’re toast 😂
Is any of the SB media going to have decently clear audio? Or is this traditional?
Brock Purdy will throw 5 TD passes on Sunday.
Lol. No.
If this game comes down to Taylor Swift it is rigged. Give me a break. Also, Purdy wasn’t seeing ghosts. Other than the first Int. They were kind of freak things that don’t happen often.
Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?
Dude DOESNT REALIZE PURDY. WAS ALSO #1 IN PASS RUSH THIS SEASON 😂😂😂😂😂 ALL THESE MEDIA ANANLYST DONT KNOW JACK😂😂😂
Greenlaw and Warner are going to be looking to drill kelce.
I used to really value and appreciate Rich’s opinion, but the way he has handled talking about Purdy has lost me. Up until Christmas Rich was the biggest media head praising Purdy, and now after one bad game it feels like Rich has been looking for any reason to crap on him, and then he goes out and makes segments where he says “I have no idea why people don’t Purdy”. This show is all for clicks and it isn’t really about honest evaluations or opinions
Doubt not don’t Purdy
I hate the Radio Row shows
And they will fall to the QB donning #13 🙏
I don't think Taylor will be there. Why? Donna Kelce said she will be sitting in the stands not in a box. If Taylor was coming Donna would be sitting in an expensive box!
Tayler swift 😂😂😂 who cares go niners
