This Righteous Brothers You'll never walk alone Reaction video, will show you the incredible synergy in the singing of Bobby Hatfield and Billy Medley.
They together have recorded classics such as Unchained Melody and Soul Inspiration. This song made famous by Gerry and the Peace makers, joins the list.
Enjoy this react of the Righteous Brothers.
God gave Bobby the voice, and Bobby knew how to make the most of it. His singing, his performances slide into our hearts and souls and remain and we love him for it. RIP Bobby.❤😂
What’s amazing is it’s a live performance. Incredible.
I never thought anyone could sing this better than Gerry Marsden but Bobby Hatfield did….his voice is superb and what a range..not falsetto but a counter tenor!
When you see this level of talent that we grew up in might give a better insight to the disappointment we have for what passes for music today
Exactly
The hope is that young people allow themselves to hear what real music is all about.
TRUTH!
Truest words ever spoken!
I agree! Grew up with their music...Best era ever!
Bobby Hatfield's voice is amazing
I love your reactions to Bill and Bobby, Harri!
These two men sang beautiful music, soulful music, classic songs, popular tunes and their own songs with ease, class and talent.
Bobby Hatfield has a voice like honey and an amazing range but the harmony between the two is unbelievable
Bobby Hatfield had the tenor voice and Bill Melody was the baritone voice they shouldn't have blended together but they did and it was pure magic to listen to them. Precise and perfection. They toured with the Beatles at one time
Beautiful together but Bobby never disappoints with his burst of surprise !
Have heard this version a million times, but I still get chills every time. They could sing every genre. Soul, blues, rock, balads, standards, revival, love songs...It was the incredible range of their voices. Best duo ever IMHO. Damn fine on their own too. And don't get me started on their looks!!!😎
I almost pass out when I hear Bobby. Bill runs a close second, I love his dark, brooding looks, and deep, sexy voice.
@@dawnaberry8452IMHO Bill has the best 🎵"Baby baby🎵in the business. 😎
Nor were they ever vulgar or disrespectful. Gentlemen in every sense of the word.
The sweet, silver sound of his voice.
Live, with no distractions like dancers or fireworks like now - pure talent!
I applaud you for knowing that Jerry and the Pacemakers did this song, most people only know the artists in passing. This version blows away any other version. Fantastic singing. LIVE no less. Ebb Tide should be on your to do list! Great job!!!
They were so young and clearly terrified. Millions were watching live! But they still nailed it!
Another one of their songs that gives me chills. Ed Sullivan show was huge. When you were asked to appear on there you were honored. It could make or break you as a performer. They killed it in a beautiful way.
Clearly terrified !!! That's why BOBBY blinks too many times in the begining 🥰
They weren't terrified. They were with intentionality, integrity, and intensity to perform a spiritual solemn song perfectly. Bobby Hatfield wasn't terrified. He even more intently than usual moved, toned, harmonized, and channeled the sound, emotion, meaning, and music through his body and head . . . Including opening and closing his "windows of the soul" eyes.
@@pharamathews5152The ‘rock & roll’ acts were always on last, so you had to sit through Topo Gigio or Rodney Dangerfield acts for almost the entire hour.
They were fabulous
Bill Medleys face was so young then. You'd never expect that baritone voice!!!
Not their biggest hit, but IMHO their best duo accenting each singer's abilities and then bringing it together with the harmonies. Often when Bill tried to meet Bobby on his level, he would lose a little control, but here he was as perfect as one could want. Thanks for the share and th great reaction.
Top shelf stuff. Ecopolitia!
I hear songs like this done this well and I weep for what we have that passes for music today.... I don't know a single performer or pair of performers who even come close on the so-called "Top 40" today to what these guys did without any of the Autotune / electronically manipulated nonsense. None.
My mother loved this song and I inherited this passion. This is the ultimate graduation song from every child to every adult.
Incredible best duo ever💋💯👍😎💓
I subbed the moment you said their names. Reactors *never* know their names! You're a real one 😁
A gift from GOD ...... Simple truth
We sang this in churches for years and years
Also at funerals
Absolute angels.
Sorry re your wish for a duet, - I cannot imagine improving on the magic of Bobby Hatfield singing Unchained Melody! For me, it is the Most beautiful and moving performance ever.
Don't get know better than the legendary Righteous Brothers!
I agree Bobby Hatfield was fantastic but I still love Bill medley also. Wish I could have seen them in person
God they were classy. Nice reaction.
I'll say it again. They are excruciatingly adorable! Bills soft thunder, and the sweet silver sound of Bobby's
voice.
@@dawnaberry8452 Bobby is super special. Gorgeous, Charming and Talented
Nowhere hear as heartfelt as the original by Gerry and the Pacemakers which came from deep within the Soul, from raw experience of life in Liverpool England! Listen to that first song.
Somewhere out there, there's a version of "Summertime" with Bobby that blew my head off! Great reaction. Thanks.
Yes, Live - but more importantly ..... NO AUTO-TUNE
Rodgers and Hammerstein song, written for musical "Carousel", the year was 1945 and stirred a war weary world. Best version to me is still Gerry and the Pacemakers and even though I am not necessarily a soccer fan and not British, I love to hear that crowd of mainly male voices singing it, to hear it is very powerful
The song way predates Gerry and the Pacemakers. It was written in 1945 by Rogers and Hammerstein for the movie Carousel. Nobody does it like the Righteous Brothers.
I always loved the Righteousness Brothers songs all of them!!!!
First time hearing this version, and it still brings a tear to my eye, fantastic rendition. Mick Thailand
I never realized how powerful Bobby Hatfield's voice was. Even on the higher notes, there's a depth (don't know if that's best word) most singers don't have. It's as if that isn't really his highest note.
Indeed,it isn't.. just listen to 'I Believe '. At the end, though short, he takes it up a notch.
Bobby Hatfield has the most glorious vocals I've ever heard he pours emotion into every moment he sings! Incomparable! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💖
I find this guy talking very knowledgeable
Bobby could 4 octaves. He was a "countertenor," his range was incredible. High notes not "falsetto," just a natural high register. There will never be another Bobby, God broke the mold.
Check out Bobby singing Unchained Melody. The live version on Andy William's...totally exceptional. I believe it is the best solo of the Righteous Brothers Righteous
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We love this song. In every choir through grade school. jr hi , hi school and church choir this was always a favorite.
Magnificent !! Out of this world !! Cathy
This has been one of my favorite songs since I first hear Mahalia Jackson sing it in the 1950s when I was a little boy.
For a treat, you can do their version of "summertime" live, from their Something Special tv show. It is a Bobby Hatfield solo, and includes them chatting,
Love that version of Summertime by BH!!!
Their voices complement each others si well. They are a phenomenon.Beautiful.
Just in case you didn't know The Righteous Brothers opened for the Beatles on The Beatles first US Tour.
I've never heard this before from them! "You'll Never walk alone" is the Act One (and Act Two) finale for Rodgers & Hammerstein's musical "Carousel" - written late 1940s/early 1950s. A great tune meticulously sung by two great artists!
Elvis Presleys version of this song is great too
The song comes from a Broadway hit musical called ""Carousel", in which it is sung very much like a hymn. B & B capture some of that.
Thank you for sharing this. 😮 wow!
You need to listen to Bobby sing Summertime. It will blow you away!!!
Just….AMAZING!
Best version ......by far.....try Bobby's version of The White Cliffs Of Dover.
Pure vocal talent...No Auto-Tune!!!
I like it when some young people find the great music from the 50's, 60's and 70's! I know you will like the other songs they do. Maybe you will like Their Man, Jerry Butler. One of the ones I love of his "Let It Be Me " he does it with Betty Everett. Great love song. Try it sometimes.
Thats the reaction I was looking for. Keep it up bro
Liverpool FC: You'll never walk alone. To the match. Afterwards however, you may feel a bit lonely. Best regards from Old Trafford.
I do have to make a slight correction on the Falsetto you said Bobby Hatfield sang, don't take offense but Bobby never sang in falsetto, with a 4 octave voice range,he was also one of those rare tenors known as a countertenor, meaning he could reach the high soprano notes naturally without effort, falsetto is a kind of fake high note done best by The BeeGee's who didn't have the natural ability to reach high notes, falsetto was a vocal tool to give the impression of reaching a high note when they weren't,however it worked for The BeeGee's,but Bobby did it naturally unusual for a male tenor.
Phenomenal voice ❤️ Bobby 🥰🥰
I have wanted to respond to those who talk about Bobby's "falsetto." That's not falsetto, it is a natural gift of a high register. He was phenomenal.
Well explained.
My football club in Scotland adopted the song as our anthem Glasgow Celtic you should watch us I. RUclips with a full stadium 💚💚💚
Hail Hail
If you ever want to hear an artist who doesn't look like his voice fits, listen to Josh Turner's Long Black Train. It's a country tune with a message.
does anyone know, that these men, were only 25 when they performed this
You really need to watch their cover of Bring It On Home To Me.
For once in my life is another you might want to check out. Thanks for this one. Melissa Ward here.
I'll check it out! Thank Melissa
You are very good at the reaction videos. I don't know if anyone mentioned it but this song was written by Rogers and Hammerstein for the Broadway play "Carousel" which premiered in 1945 in New York City, as America and the world needed peace and hope from WWII.
Bobby Hatfield is a classic 'counter tenor'..Believe it or not, when the castratii were around, after suffering the "unkindest cut of all" They sang these parts in opera and other performances, they were highly regarded and in great demand!..Then, the Catholic church stopped doing it because some pope did'nt like it, that was the end of the castratii!..Enter the counter tenor because they had much the same range..Hatfield was one of these!
Damn !!!!!
I never heard this song done by them. Thanks Harri!
You are welcome Linda
Heart and Soul is your next Righteous Brothers view.
You've still got to check out "I Just Want to Make Love to You" by the Righteous Brothers. It's very different from their other songs.
I like the sound of it..ill check it out John..thanx
Bill gets pretty deep in his song, "Lucky Old Sun."
Bobby's vocals remind me alot of Frankie Valli, both are incredibly talented natural tenors :)
Bobby Hatfield sang countertenor. Frankie Valli sang falsetto. They are different ways and sounds of singing in a high voice.
this was live
Fucking nailed it, this is amazing
In 1971 Pink Floyd on their song "Fearless", off their Meddle album, incorporated the Liverpool FC fans singing this song.
Yep
ROY HAMILTON RECORDED THIS SONG LONG, LONG, IN THE 1950s. Play his song on your site.
Bobby loved Roy Hamilton’s singing. But didn’t we all!❤
I can't wait for incubus (morning view sessions)!!! You keep saying soon?
Circles, Pardon Me, Wish You Were Here, Drive, New Skin, Dig
😂🤣😂🤣Jason i swear i still thought of you today. The thing is many videos have been recorded that need to be edited and many are also in queue. But you have been so determined that i am.gonna cheat and jump the queue.I promise you will see a song in a day or two..Thanks
I wonder why Bill always started off the songs, with Bobby standing around like a spare part ... when really he was who people were waiting to hear him do his thing! Have you listened to Bobby singing Ebb Tide? There's only one thing wrong with it, it's far too short! And also there's no vid with it that I've been able to find.
Bill was unable to sing accompaniment, so he sang the “tune” and then Bobby did his thing that pushed the song from darn good to magic-land. Bobby had a gift and bless him he knew how to make the best of it. Bobby was our gift on loan from heaven.
I’d like to hear what you think of.. This girl is a woman now..by Gary Puckett and the union gap. Love your channel ❤️
There was no terror or fear in them, they were accomplished performers. They were doing a show so what you think was terror was simply the excitement of live performance. Don't project your feelings onto others.
Thank you. And their seriousness about singing this spiritual song professionally and perfectly.
Tell is what makes a deep voice, not big.
Great vocals but I prefer the mersey version
Yes, the late Gerry
R.I.P. Gerry Marsden .
Written by Richard Rodgers (music) and Oscar Hammerstein II (lyrics) for the Broadway musical "Carousel” that opened in New York in 1945, you can hear Christine Johnson, the woman who sang it in the original Broadway production, here: ruclips.net/video/wlsUfOjVhrM/видео.html
Why has no one done the B-52’s BESIDES Love Shack? This band has an incredible catalog! Here’s my favorite, Give Back my Man: ruclips.net/video/swBDlOk0V6Y/видео.html. You will NOT be disappointed! Enjoy 🤩🤩🥳🥳😎🥁🎸🎼
Have you done any "Sweet" ? Can you do "Fox On The Run"? Glam rockers. I think you did Ballroom Blitz but can't remember.
I havent done any Sweet..but i was actually thinking of visiting the glam.rock era..So they will.appear soon..Thanx
You want to hear a low voice, listen to "Elvira" by the Oak Ridge Boys.
Hey Brother could you react to Billy Currington "PEOPLE ARE CRAZY" video, Trace Adkins "MINDS ON FISHIN" video & Drake White "IT FEELS GOOD" video Brothers Osborne "ALL NIGHT" video TY for honest reactions
I am a Canadian, coloror donsnt materer
???
A baritone and a tenor.
Man utd ha ha up the leeds but the brother's they're good
Acts on Ed Sullivan had to be very wholesome and family friendly, which is probably why they didn’t sing any of their love ballads
On that same night on that same Ed Sullivan Show they performed (!) their sexy "Turn On Your Love Light" (complete 1:53 video is available on RUclips). Major Soul, Rock 'n' Roll, and Rock stars performed on The Ed Sullivan Show.
Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes recorded a song for the hit movie "Dirty Dancing" called "The Time of My Life." You should react to that as well. The movie "Dirty Dancing" was actually part of an agenda to support abortions but it backfired because their message was overcome by the extraordinary music and dancing instead. That's what the viewing audience focused on.
Please stop interrupting the song.........wait for song ending, then comment.
Sorry Harri, I still prefer Gerry and The Pacemakers. Much better.
This is a BLK gosple song. Dimash can go deeper & then go higher then his brother.
