Your tutorials are very good, I have learned a lot, keep on uploading more tutorials and I hope you give us the visualizations I would appreciate it very much.
Quick question! I'm trying to add visuals to our shows mainly music videos while we play the song in the video with my band, do you know If this videos can be triggered via MIDI by the sequence software? we are currently using SONAR for all our sequences and distortion changes with our midi pedalboards but we are looking for a software that can co-work or sync with sonar to be able to trigger the video of the song we are playing without having to have someone pushing the button... do you know which software could do this? thanks a ton new sub here! great videos! thx again and hi from Utah
Resolume will listen to any MIDI signal , including ones generated by DAW's like Sonar. Sending MIDI from one application can be a little tricky and depends on the operating system too. You need a "midi router" application to route midi from one application to another. You should do a little googling around this subject before you continue. I've personally successfully sent MIDI from Ableton to Resolume using Midisplit from Juicebar. I have also used this application to send MIDI from a drummachine to both Garage Band and Resolume. Alternativly you could have a look at MidiOx which is an advanced midi router for Windows. I've used this in the past for bigger art installations, but this is probably overkill for your project and requires some thorough knowledge about the inner-workings of the midi-protocol. I hope this helps and feel free to reach out if you have other questions.
That’s a great video! Really well explained! I didn’t get the issue if you don’t check the “MIDI output” box (4:54 min). Do you have an example that I CAN’T do in this situation? Thank you so much for sharing this knowledge! That’s an amazing way to improve our field! 👊🏼🙏🏼🪷
All info on adding DMX lights can be found here: resolume.com/support/en/dmx To sync with Traktor you could send out a MIDI Clock from Traktor. Info on how to set up MIDI Out from Traktor can be found on the Native Instruments website: support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/209590629-How-to-Send-a-MIDI-Clock-Sync-Signal-in-TRAKTOR Simply send the clock from Traktor to Arena and use the BPM-sync features to create beat-synced animations and visuals.
Guys help solve one problem. I use rekordbox dj and work on ddj-800, I need to synchronize the rekordbox bit with resolume (bmp). What kind of software or hardware solutions can there be of some type of analog sound converters in a watch, etc.
