My easiest way of doing paradiddle-diddle is to think of doing a half single RL, coming from full single stroke(RLRL) you are using only half of full single then followed by a full double stroke roll RRLL. Hence together=RL+RRLL=RLRRLL

Try this without a metronome: practice a pattern slowly, and when you get it right four times in a row, increase the speed slightly. When you make a mistake, go back to the slower tempo.

Like a six stroke roll but with only one accent instead of two.
