Spanian, Bula! Noone walks that busy Edinburgh Drive..you're oggg! Good to see Suva through your eyes. It's gritty and people have been screwed by politicians, chiefs and coups. Fiji is on a precipice and God Bless the people 🙏
just for some context on why there are indians in fiji - they were brought over by british a couple hundred years ago work on sugarcane plantation after slavery was abolished. they were promised a decent life in fiji but where subjected to long working hours with minimal pay. after their contract for work was finished, they were allowed to go back to india but since they did not make enough to go back they stayed in fiji. fast forward till now and they've become a part of the fijian culture. fiji-hindi is recognised as an official language in fiji as well. they are also quite different to their ancestors back in india too which why there is such a large discourse on their identity
I cant describe what a blessing it is to have you explore the earth with that child like amazement of everything. You see and appreciate the little things like most people would ignore. You record and share a raw and authentic experience like this 50 minute video of you just basically walking on a side walk. And still it feels like a adventure. I would love to see you visit other beautiful places like Fiji.
Brother I’m from the opposite side of the world, from central European Czechia and these videos are mad. It’s so much different from what I’m used to and to see it through your eyes .. it adds even more. Thank you for your content. Let’s ogggg!!
Thanks Spaniard,My hometown Suva left back in 1993 for Australia, was still in school 🏫 in MBHS used catch the school bus 🚌 reggae music 🎵 lots have changed since ..it’s unbelievable with drugs crime etc ..🇫🇯as a kid in the late 1970s-80s used to hang around the Handicraft centre with my Grandma, watched the big ships 🛳️ Oriana,Fair Princess come in ,it was a big world 🌍 for me back then.
Bro the timing of you walking in to church and hearing their voices 🙏🏽❤️ blessed brother you’re truly blessed bro, you have the attraction for good will with people and blessings my bro, love it
Awsome bro, im from fiji🇫🇯, love to see my country, bro you should visit the other part of fiji islands as well, theirs heaps to explore in fiji, keep coming, God bless
Love this Fijian series! Your right at 24:50 Fijians have Melonesian ancestry which is afrocentric thats why Fijians, Solomon Islanders, Vanuatuans are black and have the features that you’d see in Africans. Tongans, Samoans, Hawaiians are Polynesians, they have Asian roots thats why sometimes they can have strong Asian features. There’s been plenty of mixing over the past few centuries, between the groups but this is something not many people realise.
@@RibZe1 Polynesians have melanesian dna aswell, we have all hair types straight, wavy, curly & afro. Some kids with the same parents will even have different hair textures.
Fijians love their rugby soo much that they made a $7 note in celebration of them winning the rugby 7's! I thought it was fake or a novelty but they are actually in circulation... I'm full spewing I didn't get one while I was there!!
Lad! You need to go back and do a full it’s all eats vid. Lovo, rourou, Kokoda, BBQ outside the night clubs, sapasui, the Indian sweets and the hot bread kitchen. Toso Viti!
Raw interpretations around Suva City Bro...love it bro!!! Brother you meet the right people and you can see places (islands, Nature parks etc for free bro...even have a Christmas lunch/ dinner with us FOC...
Spanian , as much you love to walk around and I love to see my old home. Just a world of caution. Suva is not save, keep your camera, and expensive items close by and secured. Do not move around at night time and wear any expensive items on your self. Keep safe Habib
😂😂😂 Oh wow, I ❤ the way you describe the speeding buses. So true they're crazy 🤣🤣🤣... Vinaka, Spaniard. Awesome video 👌🏾🥰. By the way that raw fish dish is called Kokoda. Regards from home, Serene 😍😇
Spainan absolutely fantastic watching you walk from Samabula down to the entrance of what was once a buzzling place called Dragon night club which a few famous musicians ie rootsrata,Sakiusa,Seru serevi and Dragon band CEO Peter Lee this was back in the 80s & 90s when I was a youngsters it was a lively venue, then places like Traps, started to get popular to this day....
Those street market vendors stay up whole night selling the mangoes. Mangoes is seasonal in the later months of the year and grows mostly in the west of Fiji, Nadi side. Also those mango sellers literally have no place to go for the night. There are relatives but they don't want to burden them because life is expensive in Suva. Hence out of respect also for them those mango sellers decide just put up with the sidewalks of Suva for a couple of nights to sell their mango produce and return to their homes in the west with sales of max $500 Fijian.
what you have to remember is fijians minimum wage is $4 an hour which is why food in that area is cheap, buses are cheap but go to a tourist area and you are paying more than what you would in australia for meals
Bro hope u loved Fiji wish I could have met you when u came down. Love to watch your videos n keep up the awesome content much love from Suva. BULA VINAKA SPANIARD

Traffic jam in Suva lol, fullon. I remember going to school on those Fiji buses. Just out down the coast there's a spot (pacific coast) that rains a lot.

Different vibes to Papua New Guinea, yes PNG can be hostile but there are plenty more beautiful and safe places outside of the big centres like Port Moresby and Lae. But yes, Fiji is cool and its really brings out our island vibes.
Spanian you should come to Beqa Island and explore fire walking and shark diving. My Mrs is from Sydney, and she loves Beqa island. We will show you around if you're keen. It's hectic lad 🤙

Damn that’s interesting, however it was kinda what I thought right away - the british
Wherever the British has taken the Indians, Curry and roti has become the national dish, Same as Jamaica, Trinidad and UK the curry too flavorful lol
Most of their contracts didnt finish ww2 started and all the Whites who owned the farms went back to Aus and NZ as they were scared of Jap invasion.
We love our Fiji-Hindi family! Vinaka.

Correct, I don’t know why so many Polynesians deny their austronesian roots lol
