hey lars im almost done building my 8 string and i took alot of inspiration from this build in particular, but really all of your builds and methods. you even gave me some advise before i started about the truss rod. when i get done with the accompanied video for my build i want to give you a shout out.
….everyone is capable in making a good guitar buy using exotic expensive woods, cnc, ( i saw robots too), woodsmiths power tools and a dedicated place for it. But only HEROES can do that with pallet woods and tools affordable to most of people. TOP.
I wanted to build guitars so i could play them as a child. Unfortunately, life doesnt always work out the way we want so amongst other things i build houses, mainly. So seeing this amount of time and energy spent on such cheap materials should be more confusing. But considering how much meth ive done i understand the need to repurpose things that usually go in the dumpster. Props.
They are called gauges! Because of the curvatured they remove smaller amount of wood, but they are more precise. They work great for shaping transition, curvature or for ingraving
Im stealing that body shape for my 30 inch baritone/bass VI project thank you
Glad that you like it. Just, if you can, tag me when you share the resoult
With all those implements of destruction, I would of opted for some blue tooth head phones😂 Cool project!!👍 Subscribed

Amazing what can be done in a small space - mostly with hand tools, some basic power tools and a lot of resilience and humor.
Thank you! A lot of emphasis on resilience and humor xD

Why a Curved chisel?

thanks for the funny video. ps: you need some SHARP tools man. esp the plane doesnt seems to work that good ;)
Yeah, I recently change to a number 5 that I can actually set up... That alone make a lot of different!
I would suggest to always draw a precise full scale drawing of whatever you want to built.
Yeah I know. Usally i do a full scale plan. This time I wanted to have fun. I had a lot of idea along the way.
I know you are listening. It begs the question ...
