Arthi try once to buy in a whole sale grocery shop, it will reduce some amt in your monthly expenses.
I always buy in wholesale shop and
I reduced my monthly grocery expenses in some how as savings, as I am used to prepare all powder varieties and ready mix items in home itself, as it is a strict order in our house,.

Yes aarthi. Monthly grocery works awesome. I hardly buy anything other than perishable things after that once. Try to stock up excess on cleaning items when on discount and buy non branded for toilet cleaner and some items which u feel brand not necessary! Use 5 litre can and store all cleaning stuff together. Will save tonne. I also want to try buying from the local cleaning soap oil shop for bulk stuff.

Your most expensive ingredient is the non-veg. It's not that there is severe inflation. Rather your grocery bill is skyrocketing due to frequent purchasing of non-veg and specialty ingredients like bell peppers, broccoli, and other different vegetables. The provisions too like Basmati rice and branded lentils, oil are all expensive. You have to purchase on a monthly basis and that too not brands like saffola or some other "organic" brands. Supermarkets usually have their own branded products which are much cheaper. Cut down the non-veg, special vegetables, and expensive branded provisions, don't purchase too many kids snacks from foreign companies brands. Shop on a monthly basis. Don't go to big malls to purchase things. This will make the bill go down.

These small brands are more innovative. But are more expensive than the normal chain brands. The net weight for this brand of 450 grams or so is nearly 350rs. Very expensive. For that price you can nearly get 1kg of health mix. These specialty shops, especially on instagram are too expensive. Sri Krishna is a popular brand. And affordable. 1kg is just 320rs.

That sounds like a hefty bill! I have not been to India in almost 35years, So have no concept of inflation and the buying power of a rupee. I just wonder how do the poor manage? Processed food is bad for humans and animals too.I buy very little pre made food if i buy it at all. Why don't you cook something for the dog? Boneless chicken or some mutton with brown rice and veggies. Dogs are omnivores. You can still give him some kibble. I hope you try it.Make sure to add some organ meats! All the best. Take care and stay safe!

It is not inflation. She is not good at managing the bills. Scroll further and see ppl pointing out her management mistakes. She buys non-veg almost on daily basis, only buys expensive branded lentils and oil etc. She also doesn't do a monthly budget. As such it's not inflation but rather her mismanagement.

I am sure she makes mistakes, so do i and everyone else. We are ll human and learning. Let us be gentle with each other. Aarthi is learning as she goes along and she shares what she learns so others may not do the same. have to admire her for that!

@@s.b.3001 We don't care where our money's value is compared to the dollar. There are many countries that cannot compare to the dollar. But compared to those countries, India's food is more affordable. There is such less population in the US but so many homeless and hungry ppl compared to India. With this much population, there are so many Hindu orgs which donate so much food, temples giving free food etc. In the US? Not everywhere there is food banks and stuff. Also you seem to be behind in news. Tons of luxury brands and corporations are declaring bankruptcy in the US. This will gravely impact the US economy. First get educated before comparing India's INR to US dollars. I'd rather have affordable vegetables than the title "Superpower" and be stuck in poverty. Our capitalists have a heart unlike the US ones.

Hai aarthi,i think you have bought from departmental stores,if you buy it from wholesale shop, you can save rs 2000 ,quality also will be good.I used to buy groceries for one month ,but some items will come for 1 1/2 months to 2 months so i will manage it for 2 months.First thing it is economical, secondly, every now and then we need not go to the shop
