    #6: they are practical and stylish at the same time, a useful tool that is also nice to look at (sorry Leatherman)
    #7: there is something historical about them (at least for us Europeans) but they aged well at the same time. SAKs are one of the few things we have nowadays that even our great-grandfathers would have had and would approve.

    • @suisseanonyme1033
      @suisseanonyme1033 7 месяцев назад +1

      Disclaimer: this comment is long (probably to long) and I already apologize for my english.
      Depend of your use, victorinox have plier based multitool, but as any plier based multitool, it still bigger (the big knife showed in the video is a collector knife, all other swiss knife fit in the watch pouch of the pant), it lose "scale tools", it lose the small pliers (which one are realpy underated), it lose a lot of other small tools who are really usefull and if you want to have the corkscrew (only on victorinox for this one)and if you want to have all the screwdriver, you have to carry the case, where the victorinox swiss knife (don't know why you call it swiss army knife in english, because there is only 3 swiss army knife, and except if you are a Swiss or a collector, I don't think than you have the 2 first and even the third one is rare outside Switzerland) still pocketable and adapted to your use (I mean than you can buy the one who have exacly what you need) and it's to a legal point, in a lot of country swiss knife will still legal to carry where plier based multitool will be illegal or needing a justification.
      There still have bigger victorinox knife, but they are usually designed for a specific use or job, like the rescue tool which one is for first responder, the real swiss army knife which one is the soldier, the boatman which one is for people working on boat, they all get specific tool and design who make them better for this job than a plier based multitool or good tool to carry with.

      Soak (warm soapy water works). Dry (use a hairdryer if you want). Lubricate. I use gun oil but there are many options. Open and close it a bunch to work the oil into the small areas. An air compressor can be used to assist with cleaning and drying as well.

    If someone doesn't believe in that,he could try doing that and finds out!
    If you need to do that,let the one who receives the present knife pays you for that!Could be 20 cents only but by that way you don't make him a present even if it's like that!
