I’m in my 60’s, we were brought up watching the Olympics, we loved it! I have to sadly say that I’m no longer watching it for obvious reasons. Let’s face it, there’s a spiritual war against Christ which overflows to us. But praise God for His amazing grace! Looking forward to eternity!

You can't feel the love of Christ unless you have a PERSONAL relationship with JESUS. You can be saved, but you will never feel the real love and peace and joy unless your relationship is personal. I have grown closer to the Lord than I have ever been and I have seen HIS presence in every day since I have intentionally been seeking HIM. It brings me to tears (of Joy and Thankfulness)almost daily. I pray everyone can experience what I have.

Thank you for this study today…My husband and I are long time fans and long time followers of Jesus….but I have been in a rut. We’ve gotten older, grandkids are getting older and we need fresh direction in our personal ministry.
All of our adult kids are leaders in our church, youth and music. We are totally blessed.
Mine and my husbands background is very similar to Phil’s with all the drinking drugging etc. We both were in the Army, that’s where we met. Si like you it took a lot for us to be ready to surrender. Thank you Jesus for your saving grace! We really are unashamed of our past bc it does help lead ppl to Jesus. Romans 8:28.
Thank you for the simplicity of your Bible study today. Getting back to our first love helps us get out of a rut and on fire again. Si’s enthusiasm today and the simple message to remind me that I need to attend to my relationship with Jesus, is what I needed to hear!

YES! When you ask Jesus in and the Holy Spirit it is so much better when it gets personal! As you read the word it opens another realm in your body is this for real. It's amazing. Even when you mess up. The word he puts in you will call and remind you of who he is and his pure LOVE.

I did not watch the Olympics because of The Last Supper debacle. I tried to watch it anyway, thinking well, the athletes did not do the offensive scene. But I could not enjoy any of it. It just made me nauseous. I deleted all the scheduled events set in the DVR.

when you talk about how - on the road to damascus - saul got saved - ( paul )
- it is not a special case - it is the same way everyone gets saved
- no one by using their natural mind can understand anything spiritual
- it is only after God reveals Himself - by giving us - faith - His Holy Spirit - that any we can know the truth and believe the gospel - because faith is a gift of God it is not something we can do by thinking about it while we are dead in trespasses and sins
- it is the same way that abraham got saved - it is the same way we get saved
- one day - we are doing the usual things that we always do and then BAM - God reveals Himself through reading or hearing someone speak the gospel of Jesus Christ and for the first time - we have the ability to understand something spiritual because God opened our eyes and ears and gave us the gift of faith - He does this BEFORE we ask for it -
- before God gives His Spirit to us - we cannot ask for anything from Him or have any faith in Him because we only have a natural mind and we cannot understand anything of the spirit -
