How's it over? since the Olympics, only 3 Chinese players actually participated in most of the events (Lin Shidong, Wang Chuqin and Liang Jingkun). The 2 Olympic gold medalists in Singles Fan Zhendong and Ma Long barely played any tournaments since the Olympics. The only consistent player since the Olympics is Lin Shidong, they don't need to throw all their Chinese players on the field because it will turn out as a competition between them as it has always been instead of competition against players from other countries. I mean, they could have literally let FZD play the rest of the tournaments after his domination in the Olympics and he was already on fire. Chinese domination will never end, also Lin Shidong is the new king at 19 years old, let him solo
