I did a themed run using the characters from the old TV show Heroes. Sylar was an absolute beast. He buffs his adjacent gugs to the moon if you keep cycling him on and off the field
Give cool weapons a try. Like evolve some with "Buster Sword", "Varia Suit".. I'd try "Plasma Gatling" and "Chaos Channels" first. Enjoying the series btw.

This was fun. Themed runs make it harder to create broken Gugs, that autowin the game. In the end that's more interesting to me than creating that one gug that steamrolls everything. Also for a Anime themed run I want to throw these in the pool: Tsubasa Ozora Eren Jaeger Sailor Moon Saitama
You definitely bring up a salient point! With the commenter recommendations, we're getting a lot of overpowered one that, as you said, help me just steamroll through the game. With the Pokemon run here, we certainly met a lot of adversity and actually had to be more mindful and strategic. I think I enjoyed the gameplay experience more as a result! You're probably going to have to be my Anime expert if I'm going to attempt a future 'Anime Themed' run, as I don't have a ton of knowledge! :D
I wanna see a Gabimaru the Hollow gug. 😮 I'm just gonna get my anime characters on in this game. Hehe I went with pokemon Blue version for my first pokemon game. I'll be 37 next month, but I still love pokemon(well, not so much the new stuff). I do want to watch Ash finally become the very best, though. Jhotto League was the last arc I watched. My son told me Ash became the world champion.

Those colored words at the end of a run... I wonder what gugs they make. P.S. I also like the themed runs so probably a splash of both since some keywords may not fit into any particular theme. I'm also curious if a typing run could be done, such as a slime run or plant run.
You know, that's a good point! Maybe those colored words are a clue for players. Would be something to try! The plan was to splash in themed runs with the commenter recommendations, it gives me pretty good coverage to at least fit most of the desires of the community into a video type. How about a run using cryptid names like Sasquatch, Nessie, Jersey Devil, Chupacabra, etc...
