@@hunter_pauley That's pretty awesome. Unfortunately there isn't much dispersed camping allowed in Florida, they are only allowed in certain areas and it's limited.
@@hunter_pauley For most of the campsites yes. Floridas best time of the year to camp is the fall/winter months which is about 5 months of the year. The only bad part of that is the nice popular campsites are usually booked those times of the year usually a year in advance for the state campgrounds. Some county campgrounds will only let you reserve up to 3 months ahead which you're more likely to get.
Great video man, super relaxing and I really like how you have the diesel heater setup with the GFC. I went with the tire step setup for mine and testing this setup out this weekend. Cheers!
Excellent choice! I am working on getting mine to vent into the bottom and top. With the Tacoma setup, I have that invertor in the back that I never use. Will likely pop that out so I can also vent it into the space below.
@@hunter_pauley Nice! I've seen people use splitters in their diesel heater hose to vent to 2 different areas which I think would work pretty well for venting in the top and bottom of the camper
With the diesel heater did you have any issues with the air smelling like gas? I have an hcalory and far from the tent, no leaks or anything but the air just smelled like straight fumes
Do you put the dog in the tent with you or does he sleep in the bed? Is the bed of the truck below the tent heated? We have a hatchback and when we car camp we normally ground tent camp or sleep in the hatch but the dog is the reason we never got a roof tent because of trying to climb a ladder with dogs.
@@hunter_pauley ahhh gotcha. Sorry for the barrage of questions. I was just really curious because I’ve been trying to do something like this as we’d get more space especially with two dogs.
Odi is a miniature labradoodle. He follows me EVERYWHERE. I always joke that I never have to worry about losing him. Appreciate the kind words and the support!
Nice video. I just discovered your channel. Excellent video work. Im in S/W Idaho and exploring ID & Mt. Beautiful country. Without giving away your secret spot, what is the general area?
The algorithm doing it's magic! Appreciate the kind words and the watch on the videos. This spot is off the i90 heading towards and in the superior/st regis area.
@@hunter_pauley excuse my ignorance, but I am not familiar with the meaning of ASMR. I just found your page now. I also drive a 2023 TRD off road 3rd Gen Tacoma. I did have a 2020. 😂😂 she already had her door open. You sound like the type to say “treat her right or someone else will” 😩 Love the content. Do you currently run duals for your diesel heater or just run off your main? I have 120w solar and a deep cycle but already running a fridge as well. Wanting to eventually go to a diesel heater as propane is a condensation machine 🙄
@@abdullahmahmood3040 Thanks man! I have dual batteries but don't run the heater off it cause it's not big enough. It's a Deep cycle 68ah AGM so really only 34ah is usable. It would drop me from 12.8 down to 12.2v which is too low for my liking. I would never do this dual battery set up again. I run the diesel heater off the EcoFlow Delta 2 and that sits in my back cab. Solar doesn't help much in the winter when the sun is gone by 4:30 and doesn't come back up until 8:30am.
@@hunter_pauleyNo kidding I almost did dual batteries but ended up going the permanent hood mount solar from cascadia overland. It’s custom cut for my FJ. I love it, should’ve done it long time ago. I’m in Vancouver Canada so we get a lot of rain but surprisingly in the overcast it still gives me plenty of juice. Honestly kinda glad you’re regretting the dual battery setup as I wanted to go that route so bad initially 😂 it’s just more weight for our little trucks and with the technology of lithium it’s becoming outdated for sure. I really want to go same route as you next cause I can charge up the power station via solar with my MPPT controller
Great video man, I love the rig set up!
Awesome.... Love that two seater :) and the meal ..wow food always tastes so much better when camping :)
It always taste so much better!
Super cool setup and the drone shots are beautiful
Thank you good sir! 🤙🏽🙌🏽
You're lucky to have beautiful campgrounds near you that are beautiful.
Great video!
Dispersed camping spots are abundant here! We always stay in “free” areas :) thanks for watching and commenting!

@@itsaboutfam probably pretty hard to find spots that aren’t taken also. Do you have to reserve sites in advance?

None at all. You could possibly be over fueling maybe though.
Stumbled upon the TikTok, so glad I found the RUclips.

No disrespect intended, but you walk right by your partner's door without opening it and open the dog's door. It was both funny and not a good look.
