It's a good design for all night burning without huge flames to consume the wood too fast.
But if you do want more flames (like you did blowing in the middle which has the least amount of oxygen).
The suggestion I have is to have a small underground trench directly in the middle that would allow air into the middle (without having to keep blowing).
Then when you want to reduce the flames just put some soil back at the entrance of the trench to close it up.

Should have made this a 12 hour burning log stream :)

Great concept but I would suggest one change… Cut two small green spacer limbs to lay perpendicular on the two bottom logs and slightly lift the top log for better elevation. This will eliminate all the blowing (very important - the spacer pieces are fresh cut green smaller pieces). Enjoy 💯

A good trick for providing wind. If you have an electric pump for blowing up air mattresses, you can use that to blow wind on your fire.

First, should have made a dirt circle for the fire to be in... Second, use a few large rocks to keep logs from rolling outward as they burned in the inner sides...

But, is it safe to sleep all night next to unatended fire in the forest? I guess it's safer if it's been raining and there's no easily flammable plants close, but still feels a bit unsafe
