- The new dawn of coalition government has brought with it uncertainty amongst businesses as there is no clarity of how political leadership will take shape going forward. With the election results showing there will be a coalition government at national level, as there is no outright majority winner, policy direction is in question. The local economy is battling low growth levels, high unemployment and low business confidence needed to address socio economic challenges.

Putting the country first is a code for putting the interests of investors first
If you provide foreign investment a n attractive environment you will create jobs. Look at Rwanda since its transition with stable leadership, YoY 8.2% annual growth securing them title of africas fastest growing country. Meanwhile we are predicted to have negative growth 🤦♂️
Capital is not your enemy… investment is not your enemy …… productivity is not the enemy.
That's how a country makes money. Investment.
You prefer politicians putting themselves first?
And? That is how jobs and smaller businesses are created...
We don't need policy changes????? We need drastic policy changes to make the country business friendly.
Big businesses should respect the choice of the people and work with the choice of the people, stop dictatorship of the own choice as in a true democracy in the name of the ✌️ ☮️ 🕊 🏳️
Big business doesn't care about people, big business cares about profit and if you make it too difficult for them to make a profit they will take their business elsewhere. We are competing with other countries for their business not the other way around.
Exactly his business will just no thanks I’ll goto Rwanda instead they are providing me far more attractive opportunities. Whoops there’s any job opportunities
You have zero idea what you’re talking about. Do you want Big business leaving South Africa to go to friendlier economic climates and leave us in a Zimbabwean state!! That’s what will happen so if you have a brain then stop thinking like a comrade and be realistic. They have already packed up most of their interests and have half a foot out the door and you want to slam that door shut!
Wow! Mogoeng Mogoeng last year prophesied that he will be the President. And that might happen now
How do u see it happening ? Do u think JuJu will allow him to stand to be voted into presidency?
He is our president ,he has been called
Try a brain transplant !!!!
@MKRevoltion nice! i will prophesy that i will be president lets see if it happens :)
remember when he also prophesied about a lab in India burning and it did😮😮
STOP THE BEEE DEMANDS ON INVESTORS. I WOULD NOT GIVE AWAY 30% OF MY COMPANY TO ANYONE.

Those here commenting against pro market policies are responsible for the suffering for SAners.
Rob Hersov looks like a professional jester
How can there be growing in south Africa wen they all stealing from the poor S Africa is done thy need the lord to help them
I'm hoping for a government national unity between all the major parties
Unity of all role players (not only ANC and DA) is the Awakened way of the New Earth 🙌
Failing to realise this is only going to prolong our suffering.
Ascension to higher spiritual realms is in progress and Nothing and no one can stop it! Wake up people 🙏
Why not legislate stricter laws to nip the so called big business in the bud. A wise government must not allow sabotage of the economy instead it must deal with saboteurs. The US and Europe has laws in place that punishes big business for such unruly behavior as it boils down on criminality.
Best option in ANC minority gvt with confidence and supply agreement. Develop parliament to hold gvt accountable. Create new anti-corruption unit reporting to parliament.
In South Africa everyone is an expert.
There is a difference between a commentator and an expert and the media needs to make this distinction more sharply.
The government of national unity is an outdated concept, the political system of SA has been corrupt since 1910 and all parties that have run the country have been corrupt.
But I think the DA must go into government so that they can also demonstrate how corrupt they are,
True...This Idea that Whites are NOT corrupt is the biggest bullshit on planet earth...when it comes to big money and power....there is no skin color....and we all know that !!!
Look how corrupt the west are....but over the years we all learn to accept that !!!!
It actually worked remarkably well between 1994 and 1997. The only reason it might not happen again is that the ANC cadres are afraid that they'll all end up in jail when another organisation takes control of ministries and starts to see what they've been up to for 30 years. Perhaps an amnesty on corruption before today would be a way to get them onboard so that we can start cleaning up our government and get the economy going again? Its a hard pill to swallow but its better than the alternative...
But first they need to win elections
Has it ever happened
We don't need foreign direct investments we need them to use the money they got from US
Robbie, drop Gayton. He’s hoodwinking you.
😂 rob is always dreaming there's no DA ANC government.
What growth? When majority of our people are living in poverty and unemployment?
thats the point ubaba - if there is growth there will be less poverty and less unemployment
Carefull for a Sosialism government.
From these socalled experts, excuses of experts really, is that investors dont want new ideas they want the status quo, thats what these guys are saying. But the voters have suggested, through this vote, that they want something different.
Rob Herzov knows what he is talking about. Read up on his background and you’ll see why he is an “expert”.
If you guys want actual investment from foreign multinational corporations (that creates jobs) you have to have a country worth investing in. You need to fix 3 things stable and effective leadership (less corrupt ), reduce the power of your unions (no company wants to invest into a country where unions are stronger than the government), provide reduce tax incentives (lure MNC’s to SA with lower or no tax incentives for X amount of years, you’ll get these company’s to invest in infrastructure providing jobs to construction etc and then ultimately creating jobs as per their sector)
@investingtips2957 we are not fools monna investors are not moralists. It's only you African experts who always argue for some sort of politico-ethical moralist dispensation to which your so called investors are dedicated. But you are talking about people who are guided by nothing but profit. You are talking about peoole who are mining cobalt in DRC, dodging bullets as we speak, to get what they want and the cobalt Apple demands. Investors are not some sort of angels looking for heaven. They just want profits. So citizens of a country cannot be held hostage to some moralist standard that some phantom investor requires rather citizens should demand a country that works for them as citizens. Secondly, Africa won't be saved by some European boys so called investors. The largest economy in the world China and the world major economy Japan were not developed by so called foreign investors. African experts keep parroting this dogma that some guys are sitting in London waiting to come save our people only if our people could behave properly. That's not true. Countries are developed by their own citizens banna. Investors are not looking to develop anyone they are looking for profit and profit is available anywhere in Africa. These boys want to just grab resources for cheap and sell them for a profit. There's nothing your foreign investors are looking for other than your resources monna. So invest in your own citizens, give them control of their resources they will develop their own countries. Investors will come and go as they wish for their own reasons.
@@investingtips2957 nonsense to your point of unions - there are very powerful unions in many developed countries. they exist to protect worker rights - or do you want sweat shops like in china?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣there will be no such thing as a government of unity!,🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣keep dreaming!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣and what if there is? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I remember when people also said the DA would NEVER win the WC. Let's not be surprised when new things happen
@@charliepepper3039 what if pigs could fly?🤣🤣
@@garethmckerrell6888 the racist DA got 55% of the votes in the WC but they didn’t get voted by 55% of the people in the WC!,thats not winning anything!,the majority of the people in WC don’t want those racist apartheid loving whites!
@@lungamasuku6872 , pigs do fly, in aeroplanes to Moscow to meet Putin.
