Elizabeth, you have a wonderfully enthusiastic, confident way of working and giving out of your experience - I am learning so much from you! Thank you so much 💜 Elspeth, Denmark
I would LOVE to see your marker drawer organized. I promise it helps to understand/ see very clearly what you have and what your options are. You would also likely open up extra room in your drawer. This is a fun idea. I don’t do printing yet but I’d love to try
This was a fun lesson- I had just bought the chisel tips from Joggles and was wondering what to do with them! Perfect timing! I really appreciate the way you handle things that don't quite go your way- you have been a positive influence on me!
Love it Elizabeth! Not sure I have the patience though -- LOL! That being said, this would be a great activity when one is feeling stuck and just wants to do something creative. Be well! Thank you (as always) for sharing.
No scrubbing needed to get your poscas going, just push down a good 10-20 times, and you should be good. Longer pushes will help. Also, hold the end and twist the lid to get the wrapping off.
Using mat medium was so smart! I never would have thought of it. Curios to know if the cloudiness on the kraft was from the white migrating or from the mat paste? And did it clear up if it was the paste? They are both great but think I like the messy kraft better. It gave it more character. I liked the black for all the misc spots and marks.
Matte medium is clear so that you can still see the brown craft card stock! Yes it ultimately cleared up mostly, a bit of the white marker got spread into the medium but overall I really like the painterly quality of the piece, not something you would achieve with direct printing!
If you were going to apply those to a firm Fredrix board or cradled wood, what would you use to adhere it? Enjoyed watching you create and take risks. I'm not much of a risk taker which I why I watch YOU!
Ahh, I love taking risks, that's how I LEARN NEW THINGS Terri! Im not sure if you could get the print to go to the board. Did you watch my Mixed Media Mayhem series on Patreon? I tried, and failed, at a LOT of gel print transfers there....
I'll be your assistant!!!! But it would be a long commute from the Midwest! I love the posca pens on the gel plate prints. It looks good! I ordered this stencil before I watch this video. I can try the posca markers with it! Thank you, for another great video!
I absolutely ❤️ this demo Elizabeth! Will you use this for collage? I bought a big stash of posca pens last month. I know what you mean with them being wrapped in plastic. It was a heck of a job opening each pen and priming!
We need an assistant, we do! No I won’t use for collage because the stock is too thick. I’m just enjoying the process without any expectation. Relaxing.
Guess what? you cannot ruin the surface of the gel plate! I have TRIED cutting it with a linoleum carving tool and it bounces right out without any mark!! it's true.
@@ElizabethStHilaire what?! All these years I have been worried about causing defects in my plate. I don't even let any metal tools near it! I think I'm going to be able to create more freely now that I know that I was worrying over nothing.
@@RamoArt I’m not kidding, you’re worrying over nothing! I took a small gel plate, and had intended to carve into it, like a stamp, and I couldn’t even make an indentation with my linoleum carving tool, no kidding!
For me it's about the process more than the product. I enjoy spending time creating things with no end goal sometimes because the rest of my work is very focused on that. It's like adult coloring books, it's about enjoying the time spent. :)

Thanks so much Elspeth! All the way from Denmark, amazing!! 💕
I was thinking this would be wonderful on black paper and then you did just that. 😀
On the same wave length!

I love the drawer just the way it is! The fact that they are all in one place is organized enough for me. 😊Thanks for watching Anita!
Thank you for the tips and ideas for the posca pens! I have a starter set of 8 and now have options because of your video!!!
Wonderful!!!
Top tip- if you twist the lid the plastic wrap comes apart. Much easier than cutting with a knife!
I second this!
Thanks!
Thanks so much for this tip! Packaging has become very frustrating especially with my osteoarthritic hands!
@@allthumbs3792 my pleasure!
Fantastic ! Love the results on both the kraft and black cardstock . Can't wait to give it a go ! Kind regards - Judi - Australia 🤗

Oh I’m so glad Lisa! Yes, you just have to figure out how to roll with it! And benefit from the experience
@@ElizabethStHilaire That's a lesson that I need for just about every facet of life right now! Thanks Elizabeth.

Great fun work, love it!
Awesome, thanks
Fabulous results! I had lots of fun trying your last Posca example, can’t wait to try this one!
well then you MUST try this one, very different from the first one and lots of opportunity to add your own twist Lucy!
Hiii. Clear Gesso has worked for me. Love this piece!!
Great! Thanks so much
I love both prints! Thanks for sharing 💖
Me too! My pleasure
Love it, especially the black background. Love the doody background.
Me too! the black is so dramatic!

It’s super relaxing. Try the hair dryer!! :)
Love your videos.. ur personality is great❤
Awe thanks Belinda!
Pressing the tips on a firm surface & holding them there for a bit helps prime the tip a bit more easily.
Thanks!
I think there’s a valve inside the Posca which only opens when pressing the nib down. It’s to keep the paint sealed inside the pen. 🤓
Wow! Love the results with the cardstock!
thanks! me too, the key is the matte medium. thanks
Pretty!!! A new way to use Posca pens! ❤
RIGHT! so much fun just getting lost in the process
Thanks!

I think I pushed down WAY MORE than that and they still needed more work....
Fun!
Thanks!
Love your embellishments!
thanks so much Esther! I had so much fun just being Zen with the coloring
Just love your work! I'm so inspired!! Definitely ordering some of the stencils, they are so beautiful❤.
Awe thanks for the support Connie!!

thanks so much!
Fun! It is so hard to let something dry on the Gel Plate before lifting it, but the results are worth it!
They sure are! I’m with you Kristy
Great filming, different camera angles and close uos. I'd live to be your sous chef, just to hang out in your studio!
Thanks so much, camera angles are more work but the end result is nice. I appreciate the feedback
Watching you cut open the plastic of the poscas right on your gel plate 😱

That was FUN! I missed the Stickles were they before or after the pull?
Showed them close up in the middle of the video on the brown card stock! After the pull.
Thank you for these wonderful lessons. I would love to be your intern! I live in Citrus Heights 😁
Omg you’re so close! I go to that post office
My pleasure!
Do you think that Posca brand is better than off brand acrylic paint markers? Worth the price difference?
you know I cannot honestly say because Posca are the only brand I have. I have not tried any other.
I marked out a template in white posca to fit a smaller print. And I CANNOT get the ink from it to take the posca off! HELP
eventually it will go away with printing, it does not affect the functionality of the plate. :)
.....🤦♀️Plastic wrap on everything we buy is ridiculous!🤮
Love your projects and fun creative style!💛❤️💙💕
I suppose they are trying to keep the caps from coming off? Im with you Kathryn! Thanks so much for watching.
