You even got some old ones back with a spin on it like cutter and bomb giving ninja. And then you have just straight up Darth Maul from Star Wars and a fridge. Man I love Kirby.
That “Kirby Gen One-er” gag at like 7:10 lands even better when you remember just like how Gen 1 Pokémon were also stupidly simple (Just some eggs, a seal named ‘Seel’, Voltorb) some enemies from the first kirby game include: A normal hermit crab, a featureless cannon, & an apple tree going :^0
Being able to hold enemies over your head and having some of them actually help you was such a cool underplayed feature in this game that I wish would return.
I had never ever tried any of these, it's blowing my mind how many of them have effects you can use: the umbrella blob still works as an umbrella, the pointy fish keeps firing points, the sand hills break apart and fall out of Kirby's hands 😂 so cool!

Like being able to glide, shoot above you, ect. To put it another way, it would be more similar if in Star Allies, you could piggy back on an enemy that Kirby couldn't get an ability from, and while doing that you get a unique attack/movement option.

The ability to combine abilities honestly looks like one of the coolest gimmicks in the series, honestly makes you kind of forget that there are only 7 base abilities in this But imagine if Kirby took the step into 3D then rather than only recently (also Fail's/Noteblock's editing is still great as always)

I have played this game countless times over the past 20 years. I've played it on the N64, the Wii when it in the collection, I revisited it every few years. And with all this, I NEVER knew you could hold enemies above your head and have them do things.
This is one of my favorite Kirby games and yet somehow this was the video that taught me that if you hold a fish enemy above your head in water you swim faster.
~20 years later and I just now learn you can hold onto your inhaled victims and have special abilities with them TOO! The fish shooter would have been AMAZING for the killer whale bossfight (before it was more of a grind if you didn't have a good ability going in).
This is probably my favorite Kirby game, and one of 5he few ganes ive 100%-ed. However, i never knew you could hold the pink fly enemies over your head to fly... The more you know...
