@@khaleedabdul-azeezedwards9523here's the thing, you're forgetting, the parents of the '60s and the '70s and the '80s are the ones who raise the people who are currently in their early thirties who are in their '20s and who are in their late teens. So yes, the weird authoritarian parenting that was popular in the '60s and the '70s and the '80s did not work. Additionally, since there is a generation in between these two, it would pay you a bit to actually look into some analysis of parenting and actually listening to people who grew up under this parenting that just don't automatically agree with you that it worked. The reason being is that one of the biggest issues, like anxiety, literally stemmed from this kind of parenting. People are curious as to why everyone is so self-conscious and trying to be overly polite and correct with how they treat people. It's literally because they were not treated very well and that starts with how their parents treated them. Additionally, if you ask people who work in the service industry, this younger generation of people are much more respectful than the parents that you think were so great with how they disciplined their kids.
