      That's a lie. I was never that way. I was raised right. I had my father and my stepmother. I loved my father too much to disrespect him. Plus, he communicated and was patient with me.
      Also, my neices and nephew weren't that way either.
      So don't act like this is a black thing.

    I'm so very THANKFUL that my dad (MY HEROR ) was always there for me.
    He was my soft place to fall.
    I knew all ever needed to do was to gi e him a call if I beeded his help.
    He told me how very proud he was if me. And I my h I make him proud.
    He said he knew that of all us kids I'm the child that will put my shoulder to the grindstone wirking towards my end goal.
    And when I go to him for help I've done everything within my power to work it out.
    While keeping it legal. 😊❤😊

      @@ShakritaNealey having anxiety and having a panic attack are two completely different things. Anxiety can exist all day every day or be episodic, while panic attacks are episodic.

      @@__Jenniefer__yes its common misconception that they are the same because they share similar symptoms. With anxiety you have a clear trigger, whereas a panic attack you may not know the trigger right away, but it literally triggers a response and adrenaline suddenly. I have had panic attacks before when I was younger, but definitely on the rare side of the physicality of it. Never had a hard time breathing.

      Panic disorder is a type of Anxiety disorder. So a panic attack is an anxiety attack it is just a more specific classification.

    With the exception of the littlest one. The kids on this shoe were trash. They were extremely ungrateful and disrespectful. They both gave Randall the hardest time. Yet, he gave them nothing but love and provided their life. Smh!

Having a conversation with your child to let them know that their behavior is inappropriate or disrespectful, letting them know that we do unto others as we would like them to do unto them, is not synonymous with physical assault. Teaching your kids values is not synonymous with physical assault, smh…

    There is no way my daughter would talk to me like that most kids who disrespect their parents today are getting it from TV and movies. You have to demand that your kids stay in a child's place.

      @@Paces2 Back in the day is the 60's and 70's. I promise you that kids had overall more respect for parents, grown-ups, and teachers than they do now. I know because I was born in 1971, I'm a father of 12, and I'm a teacher. What I've noticed is that during different stages of my life TV and movies started promoting children rebelling against parents as well as authority in general. Parenting got replaced with being best friends with your kids

      ​@@khaleedabdul-azeezedwards9523here's the thing, you're forgetting, the parents of the '60s and the '70s and the '80s are the ones who raise the people who are currently in their early thirties who are in their '20s and who are in their late teens. So yes, the weird authoritarian parenting that was popular in the '60s and the '70s and the '80s did not work. Additionally, since there is a generation in between these two, it would pay you a bit to actually look into some analysis of parenting and actually listening to people who grew up under this parenting that just don't automatically agree with you that it worked. The reason being is that one of the biggest issues, like anxiety, literally stemmed from this kind of parenting. People are curious as to why everyone is so self-conscious and trying to be overly polite and correct with how they treat people. It's literally because they were not treated very well and that starts with how their parents treated them. Additionally, if you ask people who work in the service industry, this younger generation of people are much more respectful than the parents that you think were so great with how they disciplined their kids.

      She’s a Teen. She’s allowed to have big feelings and not know how to express them. As a Parent, you gotta navigate through demanding respect from your kids and accepting your children when they’re not their perfect selves. They can’t be “on” all the time and speaking the way you want them to 24/7. She’s Clearly got something she needs to work through and it’s not gonna look pretty. That’s Life. She’s not a little girl anymore. It’s hard getting through this World.
      Give your kids a break sometimes.

    I was a teen once too, and at no age was I allowed to be disrespectful and dismissive, especially to someone who is trying to help, and ESPECIALLY not to my parents. And no, my parents were not physically abusive, they just exercised their God given parental authority to keep me in line. But I guess that’s that woke modern soft parenting thing 🤷🏽‍♀️

      The terms anxiety & panic attacks existed in the 1990s. Randall's dad is probably referring to the 1960s or 1970s--especially if he grew up in Black-specific spaces where a lot of denial occurred, unfortunately.
