    What the brand or what power steering puller you use??

    I took everything apart as I was going to do this replacement and saw that damn bolt. Now I have to get a pulley puller. Will a harbor freight one work? They’re $17

    • @EfurdGarage
      @EfurdGarage  2 года назад +1

      Yes they should be fine for something like this.

    Does the pulley not have large enough holes to line up and remove 13 mill off tensioner

    • @EfurdGarage
      @EfurdGarage  4 года назад

      No unfortunately the way it sits it wont work that way. The way it sits you cant line it up with a hole

    This took you less than 20 minutes and shops want 1400-2k for this fix??? How tf

      yea its not a hard job by any means, im surprised they charge so much i would have figured parts and labor $400 or so. i have not taken anything to a shop to see prices i just hear what they charge from various people.

      @@EfurdGarage the shop I go to said they would charge about 100$ to replace mine. But I can get the OEM belt for 25$ off rock auto and I could just do it myself 🤔

    How did you know the tensioner needed replaced? Was it squeezing even after you sprayed the belts? That’s the case for my G8 right now. I’m trying to narrow down the possibilities

    • @EfurdGarage
      @EfurdGarage  4 года назад

      it varies, weak spring tension, tensioner pulley bearing squealing, sometimes you see an oilish greasy looking fluid coming out of the spring or pulley . i replaced this one along with the alternator because i was having issues with charging. some say you should replace it 70-90k miles or when you replace the belt
