the fact that it does one last airhorn before exploding never fails to crack me up.
This is mostly just a testament to how broken Oatchi is.
Ya know it’s a sad day when pinks do the job better than the rocks… also purples being the tactical nukes they should be is always great to see
Rocks are meant for creatures with their weak spot always exposed and wings should never be in combat
The rocks do have an advantage in this fight though. Groovy Legs physically can't kill any Rock Pikmin.

I like how people say wings are bad in combat but 100 flying plant bugs that can latch onto any enemy as long as it isnt submerged in water is still a lot of damage.
and no enemy in this game has enough health to really survive 100 pikmin charge.
which to add onto that, the game playing really should have gotten off the dog and just charged the boss instead of throwing, woulda killed them a lot faster
Wing pikmin tear flying enemies apart, but ground enemies aren’t their forte.
So in conclusion, NEVER use Ice Pikmin on this guy.

@@minecrafter3448 that’s cause spicy spray gives the ice Pikmin doubled damage in addition to the speed boost. Spicy spray sets all (except rock) Pikmin damage multipliers to 1.0 so it buffs pink, white, and ice Pikmin to 10 damage per hit instead of 5. and actually lowers the damage per hit on purples and reds. Although it’s still better overall damage per second than without spray because of how fast their attacks become.
Man, groovy is a genuine threat the first time you meet it but the poor thing really is not designed for being fought after midgame, huh
EDIT: the way the intro sting lingered while the long legs was frozen was so funny.
Glow pikmin absolutely annihilated the groovy long legs lol, makes me think of a night mode where it spawns a groovy since it wouldn't be very hard to kill with glow
Yoo that would be so sick, you're just killing a Fiery bulblax when all of a sudden there are rave lights and a funky beat in the distance. It isn't impossible for DLC or modding either, since there is a night with baldy long legs that works fantastically with him as the slow approaching final boss.
Your doing i night expedition fighting enemy’s until a baldy long legs appears you kill it and think the rest of the night will be over very soon until rave music starts playing you turn around and a giant red disco ball starts quickly annihilating your army’s and all you can do is watch and groove to the music

Since all the creatures' eyes glow red during night mode, groovy long legs should permanently be in phase 3.

Do you know what the tripping mechanic is? A lot of people say different things. Some say attack the bone feet, some say jump on his feet, some say it happens at random, some say it happens if groovy keeps failing to hypnotize pikmin.
I genuinely couldn't tell you, my personal guess was if he does the two foot slam while no pikmin are attached to him he trips. I really wanna know what it truly is too cause its such a mystery lmao

@opaltoralien4015 you definitely have to be away from it decently and or jump when it stomps I'm pretty sure, because if even 1 thing gets knocked over by the Shockwave then
you forgetting to just use the wing pikmin swarm rather than throwing them one by one with the majority of them missing hurt me

落ちる時普通にドスンッ！って落ちこないで玉の方からグルングルンダンサーみたいに回って落ちて、ピクミンに怪しい粉ぶちまけてエアホーンかき鳴らして散る時もエアホーンぶちかますっていうこのパリピ具合マジで好み。まぁこいつで初見プレイの時ピクミンが初めて殺されたんだけど

my takeaway from this video: spicy spray is overpowered
Spicy spray nerfs reds and purples believe it or not, they kill it as fast as blues and yellows when they should be killing it faster than them
spicy spray sets all pikmin damage to 10 and doubles the rate of attacking, aka 20 damage (the base is 10 damage while red and purple deal 15 by default
red and purple pikmin recieve the weakest buff while winged, white and ice pikmin get their damage quadrapled because their base damage is 5 per hit
with 100 pikmin you can begin to see why spicy spray is so good
I should definitely be using Ultra-Spicy more liberally.

自分も4でピクミンnoデス＆no装備縛りやってたけどこのステージは難しかった。
というかこれ突進でいけるのか、水色状態以外は外に逃げての持久戦でしか勝てないと思った。
락 피크민은 대포알이나 플린트락 건 탄약과 같아서 아주 오랫동안 목표물에 던지려면 많은 근육이 필요합니다. 그리고 이 적의 체력이 많기 때문에 락 피크민은 황동 야수 미니건 탄약에 불과하지만 무딘 힘으로 밟아도 살아남을 수 있고 작은 피해를 입힐 수 있지만 탄약이 무한하고 던지기 범위가 약합니다. 이 비디오에 있는 것과 같은 탱크보다는 약한 버전의 적에게만 적합합니다.

Huh…the ice Pikmin are weaker than winged Pikmin. They even took the longest time to defeat Groovy Long Legs, even with the ultra spicy spray used!
Ice pikmin freeze enemies, but the freeze makes them incased in ice, which makes monsters have higher defense. So it only took longer because of that. They have the same attack as wings

Goodness, watching this makes me realize how hard Nintendo nerfed rock pikmin-
They’re in a weird spot. They demolish low level enemies and low health bosses if you can rush them, otherwise they’re very inefficient, especially compared to purples.
Why are you tossing the wing Pikmin individually? Why not jump off Oatchi and send them all at once?

How do you get normal pikmin into the night battles?
Technically it isn't a night fight, I believe it says it is just classed as night since it happens in a cave, and the lighting is essential for the mood. Groovy long legs is simply a rave so killer the sky itself dims to accommodate.
