Challenge: For every time Broughy says offroad take a bong hit Tips: 1.don't die 2. stay frosty 3. it's a joke 4. if you're a cop reading this read tip 3
The Dune Buggy is so underated, it can keep up with some of cars 10x its cost and is great at turning and rarely ever crashes, and it doesn't get horribly torn up in crashes so you dont have to see all of your expensive upgrades you paid for smashed and broken when you crash.
I think I'd like to see the offroads class split into three main sections: Dirtbikes (Sanchez), Cars (Bifta-Injection) and Trucks (Bodhi and slower). Obviously this wouldn't incorporate the Lifeguard Blazer and Tornado as they aren't trucks, but you get my drift I hope.
i love the rebel but it pisses me off that the clean rebel cant get any of the visual mods the rusty one can. makes no sense since the only difference is the paint. aggrevating. ...
Loved your video. We have the Polaris RZR XP 1000 and Wildcat X ATV's and we love them, they are strong and hold up excellently on our Las Vegas trails.
The Vapid Sandking XL, while very slow, is an increadibly useful vehicle for free roam and jobs. When modded with the Painted Double Roll Bar in the Chassis section the back window becomes very, very durable. Withstanding being shot over and over again before it breaks, making it great for missions where you have to escort an NPC. Also, because of its elevation, NPCs have a big problem with actually hitting you while shooting from cars and ground level. It's essentially a 4 person unarmed tank when fully modded.
The blazer looked like it was pushing you to the limit, and looked the most fun. It really is a shame u can't stop people using the sanchez in a lobby. So much more fun could be had, but like you said there are a few tracks it is useless on.
Although the Sanchez is technically a "offroad capable" dirt bike, being the only motorcycle (the fastest class in the game particularly when wheelie boosting) that can participate in off road races separates it from the rest of the Off Road race capable vehicles. Luckily there are enough Off Road tracks where the Sanchez Dirt Bikes (and also ATVs) will simply not make it due to large drops, too steep inclines etc, thus forcing players to keep one of the BF buggys, a Bodhi or even a 6x6 in their garage as an alternate "custom fully modified" vehicle for Off Road races and NOT just the Sanchez. I do agree though with the "mix" of Off Roads, SUVs, the Sports Classic Mariachi Tornado, Paradise Van, and the Sanchez motorcycle and weird "stock only" choices like the Mesa and the Lifeguard (but not the custom versions), make Off Road races one of the most disorganized race classes in GTAO.
By far my favourite class! :D Just about every vehicle in it is extremely fun to drive, especially if you actually go off-road and take it on some steep hills, over big obstacles like rocks. The Bifta, the (Jamaican flag) Marshall, the Dune Buggy, and the Hotrod Blazer (looks way cooler than the normal one) are my favourites.
Hey, I love the Sanchez, it's one of my favorite all-time vehicles. I don't think it's a shame, because being 11th in bikes, I'd never use it otherwise, so I'm glad it's first!
I think the sanchez is better suited for the off road class than the motorbike class. if you try to rail a corner with knobbies on tarmac... your going to have a bad time. but put it on dirt and you are good to go. I would much rather see them take it out of the motorcycle class and leave it in the off road class. I would also like to see a proper trophy truck added to the game. one that would rival with the bifta and sanchez. anywho, great video.. keep it up.
The trophy truck idea needs to be implemented. I have been thinking that as well for so damn long. Another 'offroad' vehicle I would like is a rallycross car. I think that would be very cool.
you can test this class on an off road race i am curious and you can also put the sultan, the massacro, the kuruma and cars like those ones...please it will really help me
First thanks for the videos i just went in racing comnunity all your videos are helpful ...as the off road tracks i prefer Sanchez was seperate ....it will be better choose only sanchez or biftas that will be more fun
I don't understand why Rockstar don't classify the Sanchez as technically off-road as well as a motorbike. It's a bloody dirt bike! They're designed to be used off-road.
I'd also like to reccomend the Bifta, as it has so many positive points about it. If you customise it, it looks great(I used Lead Sled and I think it was Super Rod), handles like a dream both on and offroad(It's like a track toy, not unlike the Aerial Atom or Caterham 7, aka Fireblade), and it's ability to go over hills quickly make it a really good transport car for the heists in which you have to get from the city to Blaine County
for the 2017 test I would like to see offroad vehicles tested offroad instead of in the city. I appreciate the test, but I am wondering if the decreased traction on dirt will have an impact. You mention offroad performance in the video in a general sense, but I would love to see numbers. Thanks for putting all the time into these tests! they are very useful.
Hey, just a quick tip for you, maybe you can use it in another video for just having fun, but the duneloader (on last gen I know for sure) With the duneloader, people can stand on it while its moving and not fall off. Its a ton of fun to ride around welding a mini gun on the back screaming TURRETTT!
Is the footage of the regular dubsta here from your SUV videos broughy? Myself and friends are unable to use a custom dubsta in offroad races, only stock ones. Did you test the dubsta twice?
I wish the Sanchez is either removed from off-road class or they fix the bikes going faster while wheelie. They should go slower wheeling because that increases drag A LOT!
I think they should really bring more balance and order to the Off-Roads and the Sports Cars, then they should add 2-3 interesting cars in the Coupes class (I would make them as quick as the Zion),and then put the Stratum, the Regina and the Vulcar (hopefully with some new cars) in a Station Wagons class. And to finish it off amazingly, add also a Hyper Cars class!
I'm not expecting a video (though if you'd like to do one I won't complain either), but I'm curious your thoughts on climbing ability in all vehicles. My experience makes me lean more toward sports/super cars have a an easier time climbing up hills & mountainsides than even the big trucks (like Sandking). Does this all come down to traction? Torque? Which would be the best vehicle(s) for say a hilly, open, baja (bah'-hah) style race?
***** I made some offroad test tracks when I wanted to try this type of technical offroading you can find on the forum creator section. The idea was to keep tires on the ground as much as possible, while maximizing speed. But don't use them I they aren't up to scratch, inspiration maybe.
I use my fully modded dune buggy for off road races. It's not as fast as the bikes or atv's but at least nobody can bump me off on the first corner. With catch up on people in cars will straight up ram me and i have to reset. Pretty annoying. The bifta is good but it bounces and spins out a lot. The dune buggy also bounces around, but it can recover almost instantly. It doesn't slide around either.
Broughy, by any chance do you know from your testing if the SWB version of the Sandking outperforms the XL in hill climbing/proper off-roading? I know by the results that it's better on-road, but I was wondering if you've noticed any difference in actual off-roading.
There's two different types of the Tornado. The Mariachi Tornado is the rusty version. The Declasse Tornado is the sports classic version the non rusty one.
Broughy, I've been looking around to find your video on off-road traction loss with vehicles. I can't for the life of me find it. Can you point me the right way?
ruclips.net/video/99dbrrVl2ms/видео.html Easiest way would have been to go to my channel page and find the Fact Finding playlist, just for future reference.
Is there any vehicle with 4 wheels that handles in rough terrain and can take big jumps better than the Bifta? In any class, not just off-road vehicles.
Hey Broughy what is the best suspension to put on a off-road vehicle if you are only using it on a off-road race, like i want it to get the better grip on the corners but not to fly all over the place because of one bump on the road, any suggestions?
Suspension is an odd thing, however it works like this, it literately lowers the vehicle from the wheels and spings, and doesn't stiffen the suspension, so the best overall would be stock suspension as not to scrape on the ground.
I think its BS that they have the Sanchez in the Off-road class... Its not a car its a bike. I wish they would allow the host to exclude vehicles to choose in regular races. Also, I do think people underrate the Insurgent. It can outrun a Karuma, and when you combine it's awesome acceleration and handling, with the fact that NOTHING gets in its way, you have an awesome vehicle.
It's all about the tyre wall depth. If stock wheels have more tyre wall than off roads (like the Z-type's stock wheels) then they'll be better. If they have less they'll be worse
In an actual off road race the dune buggys only competition is a sanchez. Even though biftas have better top speed theyre tendencies to spin out are very high. Dune buggys never spin out.
True, i suppose there both equally good for different reasons. Also not many people upgrade the Sanchez, they just take it stock, thats on public lobbies which may explain why I find the Bifta easier to use.
i still prefer matte colours cos my crew is military/merc. so its in matte olive. but ya, when its customized no one knows what it is :P i just wish the clean version also had the mods. i love that back plate. its a life saver now, and its not a coward tool like the zentorno reverse.
Green Hawk Yeah mate. I have one in full orange with the full baja kit and I love that truck so much everything about it is awesome and its funny how no one knows what it is.

same
+nfsfanAndrew i know right like the rusty version has really call customisations for the truck bed
and the unrusted version handles a bit different, it fucking sucks
Yet again an ace video with really good info in it, thank you.
Awesome as always mate, hopefully be part of the crew soon.
Can only keep commenting the same on each video, solid work putting this list together. It is much appreciated.
You're welcome! :)
no surprise that the sanchez dominates. would be better if offroad class would be just offroad cars.
Yup, But I love it when someone ignores my warning and pick the Sanchez in my offroad races.... They can't even do a quarter of the course. Lol
MrZancruz like deep water tracks? =P
MrZancruz
Hmm... could you put a link on your race? =D and what platform your race is?
MrZancruz I love seeing that
M Hesselgren Yup some are, My best are Rock climbing.... Only Sand kings and 6x6 can really do them.
I love this class, the rancher, rebel, mesa and the sandking are awesome vehicles
Loved your video. We have the Polaris RZR XP 1000 and Wildcat X ATV's and we love them, they are strong and hold up excellently on our Las Vegas trails.
Where does the Coil Brawler stand? Are you going to be doing an Off-Road 2017 test? Thx!
Yes 2017 testing is coming.
when will you do it broughy
Canis Kamacho
February 2018. No new off-road testing yet
Thanks! With your help i was able to make a list of cars that would hopefully do quite well in racing.

Great vid as always. Normally when my group races off road we simply agree not to use the Sanchez as it does make the rest of the field meaningless.
We all tend to go one step further and just run Marshalls haha :)
Brophy, if you have a chance, check out my off road liberator race. It's a very unique race and quite fun. rsg.ms/02ddc57
Cheers
Broughy continue making these vids I know they are very time-consuming so we appreciate it. they're very helpful and overall u are a great RUclipsr. 😃
Thanks! :)
comprehensive list, good vid
Great videos. Really helpful when deciding what to buy.
aquaticpimp Glad to help! :)
I'd really enjoy an Offroad track based series as I keep seeing user made tracks coming up with large or all dirt sections for all classes.
I was literally looking for this video, and it shows up 2 minutes after I start looking.
The blazer looked like it was pushing you to the limit, and looked the most fun. It really is a shame u can't stop people using the sanchez in a lobby. So much more fun could be had, but like you said there are a few tracks it is useless on.
I love the hot rod blazer I use that thing all the time it's still ridiculous how fast it for how small it is
true i think it would be better if you tested them on an offroad track. But its a great vid
Nice racing lines.
This was great! Will you do a video on the speedometer inside the car?
Yep
For me, Dubsta 6x6 should be the 2nd or 1st best Off-Road car, because its fast and is very good for climbing.
Is Broughy going to bother with a 2018 Offloads lap time summary? Been waiting forever...
Still enjoying your back catalogue, buddy!
:D
Add some bumps and uneven terrain and I think this list would change drastically.
Although the Sanchez is technically a "offroad capable" dirt bike, being the only motorcycle (the fastest class in the game particularly when wheelie boosting) that can participate in off road races separates it from the rest of the Off Road race capable vehicles.

Yep, what he said^ :) Thanks!
Yeah there's a lot of fun to be had with this class it has to be said. Just not when you're trying to make a countdown video about it :D
6:47 who heard that noise
Hey, I love the Sanchez, it's one of my favorite all-time vehicles. I don't think it's a shame, because being 11th in bikes, I'd never use it otherwise, so I'm glad it's first!

Umbilical968 Sultan Rally Car anyone?
***** I'm talking rallycross bro. The sultan is one of my favourite cars but I want a proper rallycross car.
Umbilical968 You do know the Sultan is based off two cars that had rallycross versions.
you can test this class on an off road race i am curious and you can also put the sultan, the massacro, the kuruma and cars like those ones...please it will really help me
Ill stick with a Bifta, I dont wanna risk falling off or getting knocked off :)
I'd say the sanchez is easiest to drive, you'll really be off the pace in most races.
John Johnson Ya but when you're the only one who hasn't been killed by a sandking, it's a cake walk
N8whopper jrN8 Lol, I guess if you put it like that the bifta does have its perks.
You can't get hit if you are far away first
First thanks for the videos i just went in racing comnunity all your videos are helpful ...as the off road tracks i prefer Sanchez was seperate ....it will be better choose only sanchez or biftas that will be more fun

Haha nice XD
helpfull videos. what time you get with the brawler on that track?
Check the playlist for the Ill Gotten Gains update video
I don't like using the Sanchez. The Bifta in my opinion is the best, because people won't push you around as much and also it's very quick.
Why is the Sanchez technically not an offroad vehicle? My dirtbike has barely even seen pavement. They are purely offroad.
Bought one just for the Snow event. Got rid of it soon as the snow vanished for good. Buy it back when the Snow hits again :)
Clinton929 It's in the motorcycles class, not the off-roads class.
how do you get the monster truck?
You can only use them in races or mod them
it was just available for independence day
I'm on ps3 with no id dlc :(
Is the footage of the regular dubsta here from your SUV videos broughy? Myself and friends are unable to use a custom dubsta in offroad races, only stock ones. Did you test the dubsta twice?
Steve Blue5 Yes I've since learned the dubsta can't be used in off-road races, like the mesa. The rest can
Thanks for the reply, I was not aiming to discredit you...I just really wanna use my damn Dubsta! haha
Hey Broughy1322 do you plan on showing us how to go faster then the 120mph speed limit in gta? P.s love your videos
I do indeed :)
Insurgent kicks ass!
Will you be doing an off road comparison on an actual off road circuit? would be interesting to see.
Possibly. It's on the list
and then the bf400 happened
I wish the Sanchez is either removed from off-road class or they fix the bikes going faster while wheelie. They should go slower wheeling because that increases drag A LOT!
Rubin Bramich When you wheelie it creates a larger profile which increases air friction so you will go slower.
And to finish it off amazingly, add also a Hyper Cars class!
love your vids.. but just one thing in regards to this particular vid... shouldn't these be tested on an off-road track instead?
never mind.. you explained why you didn't later on in the vid lol.. and I see your point.
I'm not expecting a video (though if you'd like to do one I won't complain either), but I'm curious your thoughts on climbing ability in all vehicles. Torque? Which would be the best vehicle(s) for say a hilly, open, baja (bah'-hah) style race?
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll attempt to look into it in more detail since it's something I have interest in myself
***** I made some offroad test tracks when I wanted to try this type of technical offroading you can find on the forum creator section. The idea was to keep tires on the ground as much as possible, while maximizing speed. But don't use them I they aren't up to scratch, inspiration maybe.
can sanchez be upgraded?
yess
Yes
have you ever done a non contact race with the liberator? I feel like you have I'm just not sure
Yep from what I can remember
Thanks. I'll have to find it then
how about the vapid desert raid?
Check the playlist for relevant update video
Yo what paint job is that on the cars? Looks dope
Sam Williams thanks man
TIL Sandking SWB means Sandking Short Wheel Base.
:)
Can you put the fully upgraded series in it's own playlist?
The Rancher XL and the Bobcat can be use in SUV race class?
I use my fully modded dune buggy for off road races. It's not as fast as the bikes or atv's but at least nobody can bump me off on the first corner. With catch up on people in cars will straight up ram me and i have to reset. Pretty annoying. The bifta is good but it bounces and spins out a lot. The dune buggy also bounces around, but it can recover almost instantly. It doesn't slide around either.
The off road vehicles really are the wacky racers of GTA
Hahaha very true!
On a seperate note. Are we gonna get highlights of last nights live stream?
Maybe :p
Broughy, could you do a top 20 across all classes on this track?
You mean like I already did in the regular countdown: ruclips.net/p/PLx_tHjuVuROCv7VtfMkQs7TvJaMdGITxB
Its kind of a shame because the Bifta is really good but there's no reason to pick it when the Sanchez is there and available.
technacly u can make every car off road but that doesn't get them in off road races
Broughy, by any chance do you know from your testing if the SWB version of the Sandking outperforms the XL in hill climbing/proper off-roading? I know by the results that it's better on-road, but I was wondering if you've noticed any difference in actual off-roading.
I can't say I'm an expert in that so I wouldn't like to give an answer either way
***** Alright man, thanks for the reply... think I'm gonna go with the XL.
There's two different types of the Tornado. The Mariachi Tornado is the rusty version. The Declasse Tornado is the sports classic version the non rusty one.
difference between marshall and liberator must be a different line or something, their "hardware" is the same, isn't it?
There seem to be a few small differences in the way they work, especially building up speed. Liberator is just a bit quicker with the acceleration.
i got my top speed from the BF Injection, can you test it again vs the sanchez please? Or vs the bifta? I feel it is much faster than both.
Would a Sandking SWB be competitive with a Merryweather Mesa?
Broughy, I've been looking around to find your video on off-road traction loss with vehicles. I can't for the life of me find it. Can you point me the right way?
ruclips.net/video/99dbrrVl2ms/видео.html Easiest way would have been to go to my channel page and find the Fact Finding playlist, just for future reference.
+Broughy1322 Right on. Wasn't sure of the playlist. Thanks much!
Broughly, is there any difference in performance between the Sanchez and the Sanchez livery
Cliff Treanor No
Good video dude ! But i think that off road cars are to use in dirt track, and not in a racetrack,
Your right about that Sanchez but that's why I knocked him off his bike and took first place in my bifta :)
Is there any vehicle with 4 wheels that handles in rough terrain and can take big jumps better than the Bifta? In any class, not just off-road vehicles.
noisyturtle Bf Injection?
noisyturtle The BF Dune Buggy is good too
noisyturtle a maxed out insurgent is pretty good too xD
Hey broughy, where does the guardian place in here? Thanks
ruclips.net/video/k_U7F9Fe43o/видео.html
umm... how do you get the marshall and liberator to actually upgrade, aren't they pegasus vehicles? i tought pegasus vehicle could not be upgraded
They cannot be upgraded, there for those particular vehicles are not upgraded.
thanks, the title got me cuz it says's best fully modified off road vehicles
Hey Broughy what is the best suspension to put on a off-road vehicle if you are only using it on a off-road race, like i want it to get the better grip on the corners but not to fly all over the place because of one bump on the road, any suggestions?
I don't really have enough experience with that to let you know. Maybe just try them and see which works best for the track
Suspension is an odd thing, however it works like this, it literately lowers the vehicle from the wheels and spings, and doesn't stiffen the suspension, so the best overall would be stock suspension as not to scrape on the ground.
What class is the Brawler in?
Where would you place the hvy insurgent?
Probably an obvious question but is the Sanchez the same as the livery version?
Yup
I've heard you can upgrade the Mariachi Tornado and Blazer Lifeguard through iFruit.
Wait, is the Brawler not in the Off-Road class? The one car that would actually make sense to put in the class...
I think its BS that they have the Sanchez in the Off-road class... Its not a car its a bike. I wish they would allow the host to exclude vehicles to choose in regular races.
Also, I do think people underrate the Insurgent. It can outrun a Karuma, and when you combine it's awesome acceleration and handling, with the fact that NOTHING gets in its way, you have an awesome vehicle.
wait so the Kalahari topless is the same right.
Yep
***** ok
how is the elegy off-road?
did u rate the insurgent yet? :o
The liberator and marshall are the exact same. It must be human error seperating them
Do you know if stock wheels on off-road vehicles are identical in performance to the ones you buy in LSC, referring to bumps, curbs and that?
It's all about the tyre wall depth. If stock wheels have more tyre wall than off roads (like the Z-type's stock wheels) then they'll be better. If they have less they'll be worse
vapid trophy trucks?
look at the date of the video (or just the title) and then sit in the corner and think about what you've done
Johnny362000 lol and OFC i know when trophy truck was realeased right? have fun in the corner
In an actual off road race the dune buggys only competition is a sanchez. Even though biftas have better top speed theyre tendencies to spin out are very high. Dune buggys never spin out.
I find that atv easily catches the Sanchez as it has a higher top speed stock
top speeds dont change...even with mods.
+dsxz Mods do increase top speed: ruclips.net/video/vNFwv6MlFCc/видео.htmlm24s
I often use the Bifta and I find it dominates the Sanchezes, at least off road anyway, mine isn't even fully upgraded, just the turbo and spoiler.
Depends who you're racing against. Anyone who knows how to use the sanchez will dominate.
True, i suppose there both equally good for different reasons. Also not many people upgrade the Sanchez, they just take it stock, thats on public lobbies which may explain why I find the Bifta easier to use.
what about the enduro?
dsxz In the motorbikes class and can't be used in off road races. Can be found here though: ruclips.net/video/k_U7F9Fe43o/видео.html
ah my mistake, i assumed it was an off road because you know....that would make sense
dsxz ^
Why didn't you showcase the Insurgent?
+LetMeMemeYou it wasn't out. Check playlist for heists update video
+Broughy1322 You're right.. sorry. Going to check it out right now!
THATS HOW I DO MY REBEL! (in the image at the beginning)
i still prefer matte colours cos my crew is military/merc. so its in matte olive. but ya, when its customized no one knows what it is :P i just wish the clean version also had the mods. i love that back plate. its a life saver now, and its not a coward tool like the zentorno reverse.

***** If people tried to recognize your car, they'd go blind from the shiny chrome, man. :P
are they 4x4?
