“All your friends are here and word will get out that I personally think it’s to cold to have the window open but you wanna smoke your menthol cigarettes” I like how it’s that he realises people will hear his actual issues so he switches it to something minor.
Brian is honestly a very average singer, but that's part of the charm of this genre as a whole. The raw garage band feel is what made me love it, and that's why I continue to come back. You won't find that feel in many other genres, besides maybe metal which is basically the polar opposite of this.
Too many people are missing that point. Producers in particular. The level of execution is one of the most significant elements of how music gets perceived. Not every artist is suited to sound like they never make mistakes. Mistakes are what make it honest and human. Personally, I want my music to sound real because I want people to hear the truth in it. How can you expect people to believe you or relate if subconsciously they know it's been cleansed of all its humanity? The Front Bottoms are so real and so unassuming. They wreak of honesty and I love it.

This band is so fucking raw... something about Brian’s voice and the choices of words always help me get through shit. It’s crazy how many times I sat here listening to them after being a complete mess thinking I’d never get fixed
