Yeah I wouldn't think Tom was thinking about Samson either but who knows. Subliminal disses are a way of making a point but with plausible deniability. So Samson may have been talking about Tom just in case Tom WAS talking about him. Of course Tom isn't the only "quantity over quality" rapper out there but he's the first one a lot of people think of. And Samson reiterates "if you think I'm talking about you then I probably am" (paraphrased).

One thing to consider. A lot of people will group Samson in with this subjectively labeled "right wing rapper" group, along with the likes of Tom MacDonald and others. But right now the Daily Wire (a conservative media outlet) is a point of division amongst conservatives, libertarians, centrists, free thinkers, etc... and Tom basically endorsed them by sling that track with Ben Shapiro. Just like the non-leftist crowd is divided on the issue and non-leftist rappers would probably be as well. I definitely see this as a factor.

I think that I found Samson before he started doing political rap. I always thought he was dope but quit listening to him because I don't agree with his viewpoints. But he's always been a very dope artist and not cringy and making music for clicks like these other political rappers *cough *cough *Tom. This song also explains the way that I feel about music. I've had writers block for so long because I'm so hard on myself.

I only started hearing of Samson in the past month, but I have heard some of his political rap. I wasn't in full disagreement nor agreement with his position, but he made some decent points (so, he made me think like he said) and he also was killing it, in terms of the rap skill. I would much rather hear him do stuff like this or the recent songs he's dropped, but I will always give props for a well made song, even if I don't fully side with the political position.
The minute he said BEGGING FOR BILLBOARD I knew it was about Tom..... I literally turn off notifications after Tom drops a new video because we get a million reels saying go download my new song we are X amount away from the #1 Spot & it's just super cringe.........
