You want scary look up the 2005 SCOTUS decision were they declared law enforcement has no duty to protect a PRIVATE citizen or property, now you know why law enforcement was largely ineffective during all the civil unrest in the US in recent years. You know who law enforcement does have a duty to protect politicians and celebrities as they are only limitedly private under the public persona matrix used to distinguish between public and private individuals in civil litigation. the same goes for property if its public or government land they have to protect that as well unless told not to by the politicians. SMDH. Yeah unpack the logic of that cause it's a mindbinder.
@@jericho1-4 That's not scary to me at all, no human being should be legally obligated to put their lives on the line protecting that of another regardless of who employs them. Imagine being jailed simply because you didn't want to die etc... that would be ridiculous... fired sure whatever but legally obligated to protect hell naw. Nobody should be legally obligated to protect the others mentioned as well so if that is the case it should end no different.

Chiraq has has some of the strickes gun laws in the country along with certain other blue places like NY,Baltimore, DC and L A. Among others.
Laws do not stop criminals, the hurt the law abiding ones.
His only point about Chicago was that Lori light put it for gun control and yet Chicago has some of the stricted gun laws and some of the worst done crime. Gun Laws help no one but Government and Criminals, leaving good people defenseless. Criminals dont care about law and Government thinks they are above law, law only applies to the people that follow and obey it. Criminals continue to break the law regardless of what laws are written. People with intent to harm others will still harm others no matter what sign is put out front or what measures are taken...CA, WA, OR, NV, NM, CO, and FL have the strictest Gun Control measures implemented...Chicago City is a "Gun Free" City in a heavily regulated State and they all still have the same issues after implementing those "common sense gun controls"...a continuous rise in murder/crime. There isnt a single example anywhere in the world at any point in time where gun control made a dramatic positive change for the people, it has only helped criminals and government.
In the USA where 400 MILLION Firearms are in the Hands of 100 Million Gun Owners (1/3 of the US Population) you would think that there would be more than 12,650 of Deaths by firearms per year (excluding suicides), especially when most household and daily use objects kill many more times the amount of people per year. Most of that 12,650 Deaths are from Gang on Gang Violence, Police Kills, and Accidental Deaths, less than a 3rd of those deaths are from Legal gun owners using them against others and there isn't a single Law that could be imagined that would actually change it for the better but the legislation proposed and implemented creates defenseless victims adding to those numbers as criminals prey on those that cannot defend themselves. 100,000,000 of 400,000,000 Armed and less than a 3rd of 12,650 deaths attributed to those that obey the law - that percentage is insane when the media constantly floats "Gun Violence" (nonsensical term) so often. Hammers, Fists, Knives, Chainsaws, Toothpicks, Cosmetics (Make-Up), Food, Cars, Alcohol, Smoking all kill many more people per year than all firearms combined and Doctors are the 3rd leading cause of Death in the USA (250K) but you don't see any of the movements the firearms industry sees to ban them or regulate/restrict them.
What is also crazy is that people think police should have firearms and not gun owners, they fear gun owners but studies have shown that firearm permit holders are 30% more law-abiding than the police. Guns save 250K-3 Million people per year in defensive use against violent crimes (Rape, Muggings, Robbery), many times not even firing a shot.
A report of prisoner interviews in 11 states, said that 40% of all those interviewed had not committed a crime "on at least one occasion" because they saw a gun. They had then decided to not commit the crime they had intended because of the increased risk. If that is not crime prevention, and proof of guns saving lives I don't know what is.
Is there any other object that SAVES so many people per year? That takes such a small percentage of lives? That is as demonized as firearms? Now on to Mass Killings, these people are MURDERERS...and murder is against the law, yet they are still doing it, they use all types of methods to commit these atrocious behaviors but when its not firearms its usually not reported by the media.
There have been 38 Mass Killings with Knives alone since 2006 and the average death count is much higher than the average death count of firearm-related Mass Killings. There are many more with Bombs (Already regulated heavily and Illegal to own without permits), cars, baseball bats, and other objects but when have you seen a report within the USA about these Mass Killings? There is a agenda and a narrative, whether you believe so or not, there is no other reason for the selective reporting of information. They paint a terrible picture on the media that certain guns are worse than others, some are "military assault weapons" (false made up term). They say the AR15 is one of them but the AR15 is not military and nor does it have select fire. Its a tactical looking hunting rifle and have been used in just a handful of Mass Killings, most are committed by handguns and rifles that shoot no more than 5 rounds before reloading. The firearm isnt important, the persons intent, mental stability, and nature is, especially when every Mass Killing has a trend that can easily been seen if you look. All Mass Murderers have been medicated with Psychotropic medications, have mental instability issues. They go to areas with little resistance (Gun Free Zones) that are largely populated, why restricting the access of more people to firearms will only lead to more defenseless victims.

My best friend died 5years ago shot in the head 3 times in chicago. They pulled up to a red light and the car next to them thought they wer a rival gang and shot 11 times into the car. He was 15 years old on his way home from the beach. Iknow its alot of gang bs in chicago. But we cant diminish how much gun control we have here but top 3 murders every year. The reason Samson brought up Chicago is because Chicago has all the gun control measures that are being pushed for federally, and yet there's still a ton of gun crimes. It doesn't matter that it's just "gangbangers fighting over turf" when there are innocent people living in those neighborhoods who may lose their life to it.

Just wanted to drop this. I consider myself pretty left wing, and there's this saying in the spaces I'm in "if you go far enough left you get your guns back" LOL. So yeah. Some of us lefties know, and a lot of cringe at being roped in with shitlibs just because we share similar opinions on cultural things like gay/trans issues. I do believe background checks should be mandated and rn at a lot of places they aren't and it seems like this dude would agree on that bc of the "I always did a background check" bar. But yeah I'm in favor of them putting some more sensible safety precautions like universal background checks and closing what they call the "gun show" loophole. I used to be more in favor of weapons bans, but the more I think about it the more I'm just like "naaaah idk" But I still can't stand the NRA for 2 simple reasons. 1. Their answer to gun violence is ALWAYS more guns, more guns more guns. 2. They had this thing called the "Dickey amendment" that forbid the CDC from even researching gun violence ( I think it's actually been altered to say that they just can't use federal resource to advocate specifially for gun control which is more reasonable but that's no thanks to NRA, they dumped a shitload of money for decades to keep that amendment in even when the guy that wrote the bill disavowed it) But yeah. I know no one said this specifically in the vid but just wanted to let everyone know there's a lot of flavors of leftism and we aren't all cringey authoritarians who want to control your speech and stuff. We get lumped in with those people ( wokescolds is our common name for those types ) all the time and it sucks. Like people saying "the left is in control" Motherfucker the "left" party in our country spends most of it's time shitting on US. Your comment about violent crime in Chicago only being bad in certain neighborhoods with drug and gang activity is true. It’s also true in my home city of Atlanta, and nearly everywhere else in America. Guns and access to guns obviously isn’t the problem.
The fact is that small pockets of violent gang crime outliers poison the data while the vast majority of America is just as safe as any other civilized country, and that’s with our liberal gun laws and more guns per capita than anywhere else on the planet.
If we decriminalize minor drug offenses and reduce the the black market for drugs, most of America’s gun violence problem disappears. The media refuses to acknowledge that most gun violence and mass shootings are gang-related, because it’s not nearly as sexy of a headline as talking about white kids in suburbia getting shot at school.

Truth by its very definition can only exist if there are things that are not true, and it can only exist unilaterally. To say it’s “touchy” is to infer that some people may find what he’s saying as untrue. But the statement “there is no absolute truth” is self defeating. If there is not absolute truth than that statement can’t be true… which means there is truth. So, truth is always truth regardless of how someone feels or what they’re opinion is. An opinion can be only true or untrue
Shall not be infringed. Only amendment that has that in it for a very good reason. It is to protect ourselves and our rights.
