As a comedian I know that even when you just go to an open mic hecklers can be terrible for your act. Not so much because you get paid or not, but because they mess with your routine and your rythm while you're already on the spot, so you have to think very fast to get back on track.

For the record, a CNA is not a nurse but a certified nurse assistant. A nurse has to go to at least 2 years of college, a CNA 8 weeks of training.
