Either the audience was so elite that they didn't clap immediately but waited a few seconds to digest the music and not break the atmosphere, or no one knew when the piece ends.
as a child I played Biber sonatas on trumped. Biber accompanied me since then. Did you ever listend to his masses, his brass sonatas, the rosario sonatas...
Michael Nyman based his "Time Lapse" (from the Peter Greenaway film "A Zed and Two Noughts") on the second episode in the Dies irae movement of this mass.
Bravo, Mr. Sparks, very well played. On second thoughts, I will abound. Mr. Sparks gestures are not beautiful, nor elegant, but his rendering of this piece is competent, sonorous and somewhat rich. The second kyrie is too fast, mesured "à la blanche", which impedes the elaboration of detail. Sad. The sound of the sackbutts is *wonderful*.
I can listen it for the rest of my life unquestionably, possibly the best requiem ever written📝!
Faure's Requiem is also beautiful.
Un maravilloso requen de Biber, un maestro del barroco.
A brilliant soundscape of sad songs. A brilliant performance of the requiem of brilliant composer!
Und was ist dann die Musik von J. S. Bach? Die Musik ohne Worte?
Just beautiful!
Very good!
Sublime-another wondrous work from Biber.
Absolutely magnificent
Excellent performance!
Thank you
Unbelievable!!!
Magnifique

wonderful..
Bella esecuzione, bravi!
An exquisite, stylish and expressive performance of this magnificent work. I was very excited throughout.

Excellent team!!! Conductor no so good. He has a good conception but not the technical means to implement them.
