We have finally returned after a hiatus with DLV Max achieved in this month's Duelist Cup. The biggest players in the meta right now are Kashtira and Purrely, two decks that you need to basically draw the out to defeat. Triple Tactics Thrust has been instrumental in that, allowing for easy access to Herald of the Abyss, Infinite Impermanence, Triple Tactics Talent, and other key spells for the deck. Kaijus also provide a nice means of removal for those decks as well. We do lose out on not being able to reliably run Forbidden Droplet due to Kashtira so I opted to do less handtraps/more gas given my comfort with the deck but this is very much a personal choice since you do play much harder into Maxx C. Finally, the final decklist changed from the initial one that I started with as Labrynth became much more prominent in higher levels as well as stun/control decks so I opted into Red Reboot and had to do some duels with another deck (HERO) in Level 19 as going second was feeling a bit too bad. Still testing the deck overall so it will definitely see some changes sooner than later.
The way you play with intimate knowledge of this deck is amazing to watch. Every time I watch I find multiple new lines to play with this deck. Thanks for sharing your gameplay
Sheesh you mention a video for the duelist cup yesterday and it’s already done?! That’s impressive. Great duels as always brother. Always enjoy seeing Lunas going full force.
Happy to see another upload from my favorite yugituber! Thrust put in a ton of work in this video! Glad the card finally made its way into Master Duel, and it definitely helps out Lunalight!
Haha you’re too kind dude. Thrust is slowly becoming one of my favorite cards, it’s just insane how versatile it is. Loving having a way to get into all the pieces to combo off or break boards. Lunalights needed this.
@@royalvandyke oh yeah! Definitely a card that lots of rogue decks appreciate, Lunalight included! Not only searching board breakers, but also your engine pieces like perfume and fusion if you already have your board breakers. Definitely a saving grace for the deck!
have you tried playing guardian chimera? I've discovered the card with the fusion festival and was blown away by the synergy of lunas effs when sent for effect and chimera popping and drawing (of course it's very situational since you need poly to make it, perhaps a patchwork imp engine?)
I have not tried using Guardian Chimera though I am familiar with the tech. You could always do triple Black Sheep since she’s a 1 card poly and not hard once per turn. But I have not experimented with it yet. Maybe in the future!
@@royalvandyke nice. Thanks a lot for these decks. I have a question about red reboot, why do we need 2 in the deck? Also why don’t we have any board wipes like Raigeki or Lightning storm (which also includes backrow wipe)?
@@StripedJacket was versus a ton of Lab/Stun in higher levels, I wouldn’t run it otherwise. I tried to min-max my cards so Raigeki imo not needed, LS is pretty meh since most decks just play around it. But as things change, the deck will change, flexible for the meta.
Low-key thought I was gonna see Jaden/Aster duel near the end since u mentioned u used HEROs too in this event lol. Curious if u also find it awkward to let the opponent go 1st when winning the coin toss cuz I always do... I've been seeing triple tactics thrust around nowadays huh... Is it the new must have staple in every deck? I'm kinda far behind in the meta since I haven't been dueling that much. 3 URs though...
Haha I literally only used HERO for a couple of duels in Level 19 but it was fun. :) but I’m a Lunalight player at the end of the day, just too much stun. Thrust is just an incredible equalizer in this format imo, lovely card that can really turn some duels around or fix some hands. It was an instant 3 of for me personally.
Realy good job with this one. Thrust is so nice in this deck. So far Kash is not so bad to deal with for me. So many times Kash players brick, or dont know how to play propaly. For this cup, I played Dogmatika/Mikanko. You wouldn't believe me how many times my opponent tried to Zeus or big eye Alba Zoa 😂. Can't wait for the next video.
Yeah Thrust is so good for Lunalights, just so much access to the toolbox if it doesn’t get ashed. I look forward to testing with it more and seeing what other ways I can cook with it.
So you do play zefros, its so rare to see those in your videos.. Anyways as a fellow luna user kash isn't that hard to kill so far for me, its scareclaw that scares me the most. No steal or kaiju I'm just dead xD Ps : I saw you had the chance to underclock the guy, should have taken that ;)
I experiment with Zephyros from time to time, just no way to hard search him without Force Strix and I’m not using Force in this deck ever lol he came up but not consistently since he’s a one of. Kash is pretty simple to beat, it’s just do you draw that out, ya know?
@@royalvandyke I gotcha. Yeah the way I play with zephy isn't for full force strix combo its just brick a lot of time. I just use 2 extra deck slot (force strix for search, and tri birgade L2 to special summon it on field) no normal summon commit and even better if I have another lvl 4 lying around so just the usual dugares etc.. you know it better
Unfortunately I think minimum 2 Thrust is necessary for this deck, it suffers in consistency. The Red Reboot is only in deck cause I kept facing Labrynth. You can consider adding in the 3rd Imperm, Book of Moon/Eclipse, Called By, etc.
@@royalvandyke I just got a Thrust from a pack I opened, and some other UR's, three of the bad Kishki and 3 of the Rescue-ACE guy (also two Arise), not sure if I should break them. Rescue-ACE might be cool to play one day, I hate Kash but I got a royal rare and now feel like a sucker.
@@royalvandyke Thank you for the informative answer. I crafter Purrely so I'll just use that for now. I used to play a lot of Live Twin but without Spright they feel too weak right now, and I am not crafting 9 URs just for Spright.
These duels are getting more and more intense! Thrust is a great addition for the deck and I really liked Photon Papilloperative as a tech option for this format. I'm a little curious about your reasoning to replace Underclock Taker for Pentestag though. 🤔
Yeah the power creep has slowly been getting more and more insane for pure Lunas. Thrust is such an insane card and Photon really helps for those people who want to put Shangri in defense when it really wants to be in attack position. Unfortunately Papilloperative is not reliable to get to since you don’t really start off combos with her, going for Dugares or Tiger King so Pentestag will very niche in comparison to Underclock has been more generally useful. That said, I rarely go into the Link toolbox right now.
Yeah the deck suffers from being a bit too slow and one of its best cards limited to 1. That’s why most players who play Lunalights in TCG opt to do Lunalight Tearlament. Deck’s in a pretty bad place right now but it happens. Beast Warriors also get zero support which doesn’t help much either.
@@sebastian9138 yeah I don’t play TCG (or paper to be specific) but I think you have to have a full Tear package for the deck or you’re just going to have a bad time.

"biggest players" to be more exact. lol

This is what happens when you only play one archetype haha :) you learn something new everyday. Thanks for watching!
It's always fun to watch these
It’s always fun making these for you to watch.
Can I get the deck list in writing ?? The names of some of the cards I’m not able to read at the end of the video
Lets go! Missed these and great plays as usual!
Haha thank you so much! The plays are back!

We stayed up all night to get the video done (well in between some Spiderman 2 content) and it was so worth it!
Well play!
Thank you!
Luna is insane
Lunas can be insane sometimes yeah :)
RoyalVanDyke Slice 'N' Dice the Purrely and the Kashtira players! :)
Good job as always! :)
Thank you my friend! I tried :)
Well done
Thank you!

Did you post this new deck list that includes thrust?

For case I play BO3
In terms of the deck I have built, absolutely not. If I wanna play first, I would play Lunalight Tearlament.
while I know sheep and chick have effect with normal fusion, I don'tit since it bricks most of the time
