@deancurlee9373 Living down in Florida, I'm lucky to have a lot of grass fisheries. If there's grass l around I'm going to use it! Thanks 😊

I use the Spunk Shad on the back of a Bluegill colored Mini Max. I had a great day with it the other day when it was cloudy and windy. I picked up on something you said, " use a silver bladed Chatter Bait on sunny days and a gold blade on a cloudy day." I do have a silver blade Chatter Bait but, it's not Bluegill in color but white. I'm hoping the silver blade will overcome the fact that the Chatter Bait isn't Bluegill in color. Just curios why a gold blade when it's cloudy and silver when sunny? Thanks!

@robertbrost7777 I throw white alot wich imitate a shad pattern, in my opinion. As far as the blade colors? I feel that on bright sunny days, they can see much better, so the Suttle presentation of the silver blade works better. It really imitates bait fish. On cloudy or early in the morning and late in the day, I feel that the gold blade puts off more of a flash to draw the fish in. Also, something to think about. There are golden shiners in florida, so the gold blade could be used daily.I hope this explanation makes a little more since. I'm sure it can work both ways, but this is something I have always done.

Just like flipping pitching where i use 5 rods, i use three different chatterbait rods. One size doesnt fit all.

@robertcox9226 your right, there's always a better rod for certain techniques as well as size of lure.

When would you use a painted blade? Dirty water?

It would depend on water clarity. I prefer a silver blade when fishing on clear days in stained or clear water. I normally go with a gold blade during low light conditions like, overcast, sunup and sundown. As far as painted blades, It would depend on the color of the blade. What color blades are you referring to?
