I have a distortion meter from B&W I have not looked at yet, I've had over a year. This video made me want to get it going. Thanks!

Hang on to that unit!! It's too good an example of vintage technology to let go. Maybe tweak the alignment, but it's remarkably good as it stands.

These kids! ;) B&W has been around a long time (obviously). They made mid- to low-end test equipment ala Eico, Heathkit, Sencore. Also made some ham radio accessories. Boat Anchor Manual Archive may have something close for a manual. B&W still exists though I think they only make antennas. They might have a manual in a dusty file cabinet.

I say keep it. It’s a great example of the period and that ratio based dial is cool. Do a calibration video and see how accurate you can get it. I wonder what the dist is at the 500 ohm spec.

Aren't those dogbones carbon composition resistors? Some might be out of tolerance. Would hate to red-plate any of those tubes when using this oscillator for long periods of time on the bench! Maybe if you decide to use this one for other projects you may want to lift some leads and test some resistors, especially any used to set the grid biases

personally I think it's too big for the bench you can utilise the space for more modern better equipped testing gear. But I like to keep old vintage equipment that's in really good condition I would put it on a shelf at the back of the workshop after doing a full re-cap and calibration
