Zayne is the most realistic character besides Rafayel.I love how the romance is slow burn with him.He maybe was very indifferent stoic at first but now as the story and banner goes his voice and emotions are slowly spilling out.And this type of sexually reserved men are unstoppable and intense when they get intimate.
I think what a lot of players mistook with Zayne's English VA is that he sounded kind of robotic at the beginning (this is something I felt too in the beginning) of the main story, some of the memories, etc. but now sounds better. But if you look at Zayne's personality, I think the English VA did an excellent job at modulating his voice to match Zayne at each level of his relationship with the MC. Earlier in the story, Zayne and MC barely knew each other even though they did hang out together a couple of times in their childhood. So then when they meet again when Zayne is appointed MC's primary care physician and they keep meeting up every now and then, Zayne sounded stiff because he was holding himself back, he didn't want to get too close to her but at the same time within his heart he wanted to bond with the MC too. This inner dilemma caused him to want to drive her away from him because given his evol issues and his past life (which he still remembers but MC doesn't) he doesn't want to accidentally hurt her in any way. So every time the MC would try to get close to him, he would try to push her away and hence always sounded stand-offish, curt in an attempt to keep it professional. But gradually (which we will hopefully see in the main story soon) he started to get used to her presence as their relationship progressed, so naturally Zayne started to let his guard down and his voice started sounding warmer, more caring and loving. In his birthday card, he even acknowledged their relationship publicly by holding hands in the car which again wasn't something he was comfortable with in the past. Zayne is the type of guy who lets the woman initiate the intimacy and then he just follows through with it without any hesitation. Again, this is something that matches his personality. We saw it in Misty Invasion, the billiards card, and now with this card too. He expresses himself more freely than he used to, he doesn't shy away from showing physical affection and he let's MC take the lead in pretty much everything. He only gets angry when the MC doesn't care for her health, gets injured or doesn't take her condition seriously. But he doesn't stop her from jumping into dangerous situations either because he knows as a hunter, she is bound to get injured whether he likes it or not. So, he just tries to be by her side in whatever way he can (we saw this in his Misty card). He is very indulgent with her. Again this side of Zayne is reserved only for the MC. Because when he talks to his colleagues or other people at the hospital or somewhere in public, he sounds like his usual curt robotic self. But one thing he is still holding back on is asking for help. He tries to hide it when his evol acts up, or if he has a nightmare or if anything feels off with himself. We will see this again in his branch story soon. So, it's not that he sounds better now than before but it's just that he sounds this warmer and loving because Zayne and MC have reached this stage of a relationship where he feels safe enough to express himself and just open up to her without any inhibitions. With Zayne, I feel like if you miss out on the subtleties of his actions, you can mistake him for a cold and rude person who keeps turning down the MC at every chance he gets. For me, the development of Zayne and MC's relationship felt the most natural, like it flowed out so well. Ah, what can I say, I love this fictional man! 😭

But I am a Zayne girlie and I want him too... I tried so hard to not pull and save as the other cards are not really of relevant stellactrum, hence would just be useless in long term. But my impulsive thoughts would just not stop. So i just opened another account today and chose zayne in the precise wish. When i pulled with the 20 free pulls from mail, I got raf's in 13 pulls. So now I just have to persevere a bit more until Zayne comes home! And I wont be wasting diamonds unnecessarily in my main account too!
