I am using air m1, didn’t update macOS only, worried that my cracked software will not work. It’s blazing fast tbh. I ditched my desktop pc of ryzen 5 1600 and 8gb RX580 GPU. In video editing on Final Cut Pro the m1 is literally faster. Downside is that the RAM but it’s still faster than my 16gb on my desktop, which I now use for gaming only.

Question for sunday QnA :- I want to purchase a MacBook for just basic software and excel, tally and watching basic content. I am confused by the MacBook Air M1 or MacBook M2. Please suggest which one should i get.
A normal budget range laptop will do just fine in the case of excel. The thing you should ask yourself whether are you willing to settle with macos or are you comfortable with windows. If you are fine with windows that you don't need to buy a mac just for the sake of excel.
EVERY ONE IS TALKING ABOUT BATTERY BACKUP ..HOW TO DO SO OR THAT ... BUT NO BODY IS CONSIDERING ITS COMPATIBILITY WITH PRINTERS. SINCE THERE ARE MANY PRINTERS WHICH CAN BE CONNECTED WITH MACOS BUT THERE IS LIMITED CONNECTIVITY LIKE ABOUT 99% OF PRINTERS ARE NOT CONFIGURABLE WITH MACOS REGARDING THEIR SETTINGS OF PRINTING LIKE TO PRINT DARK OR PRINT IN ECONOMY ETC. I AM MENTIONING PRINTERS WHICH ARE NOT OLD . LASERJET MFP M438NDA, EPSON L565 ETC. SO MAC IS GOOD TILL IT IS TO DESIGN PHOTO VIDEO ETC BUT NOT FOR OFFICE WORK. ONE HAS TO FOLLOW MANY PROCESS TO GET A SIMPLE OUTPUT. IF ONE WANTS TO PRINT WORD FILE OR ANY OTHER FILE AS IMAGE THEN THERE IS NOT A SINGLE WAY.
I bought M1 recently, it's amazing I make music using Ableton Live, use Vscode for coding & Final Cut for editing videos for Instagram. Great. I already have a good desktop with GTX 1080, even though for the power efficiency and speed. it's great. I don't say it beats my GTX 1080. but the power difference is no doubt crazy. but don't think of 3d modelling using M1 you will rid the SSD soon. I believe for your task it's great to go and save money. If you really want to get air m3 then getting M3 MB pro will be good. otherwise it's waste but MB pro costs double.

As far I know Apple gives minimum 6-7 years of update to their every product so maybe 3-4 years of update cycle is remaining for m1.

Question for sunday QnA :- I want to purchase a MacBook for just basic software and excel, tally and watching basic content. I am confused by the MacBook Air M1 or MacBook M2. Please suggest which one should i get.

A normal budget range laptop will do just fine in the case of excel. The thing you should ask yourself whether are you willing to settle with macos or are you comfortable with windows. If you are fine with windows that you don't need to buy a mac just for the sake of excel.

SINCE THERE ARE MANY PRINTERS WHICH CAN BE CONNECTED WITH MACOS BUT THERE IS LIMITED CONNECTIVITY LIKE ABOUT 99% OF PRINTERS ARE NOT CONFIGURABLE WITH MACOS REGARDING THEIR SETTINGS OF PRINTING LIKE TO PRINT DARK OR PRINT IN ECONOMY ETC. I AM MENTIONING PRINTERS WHICH ARE NOT OLD . LASERJET MFP M438NDA, EPSON L565 ETC. SO MAC IS GOOD TILL IT IS TO DESIGN PHOTO VIDEO ETC BUT NOT FOR OFFICE WORK. ONE HAS TO FOLLOW MANY PROCESS TO GET A SIMPLE OUTPUT. IF ONE WANTS TO PRINT WORD FILE OR ANY OTHER FILE AS IMAGE THEN THERE IS NOT A SINGLE WAY.

I bought M1 recently, it's amazing I make music using Ableton Live, use Vscode for coding & Final Cut for editing videos for Instagram. Great. I already have a good desktop with GTX 1080, even though for the power efficiency and speed. it's great. I don't say it beats my GTX 1080. but the power difference is no doubt crazy. but don't think of 3d modelling using M1 you will rid the SSD soon. I believe for your task it's great to go and save money. If you really want to get air m3 then getting M3 MB pro will be good. otherwise it's waste but MB pro costs double.
What about update in M1 air ?
