    I remember my sedeveria dark elf was being overwatered and I expose her to full sun and thank God she didn't burn but she turned from lime green to this beautiful red brown and currently she's thriving in blue with red tips with alot of babies

    A very interesting video! Now I know why my crassula ovatas always revert to a plain green colour. I will keep them in a South facing window sill, not feed or water them so much and try to get some cactus compost to pot them in instead of the rich compost they seem to be in when purchased from a supermarket.

    I do all of mine indoors in small rooms both with lights so I can make them as much light or decide how direct it is one room has a heater the other has an air conditioner that is much too powerful for that size of room and that works amazingly it's hard to do it in a greenhouse that isn't 12 light-years ahead of my bank account so I came up with my own Idea after they have gotten favorabke resukts I gradually bring the temps back to normal so I don't shock them when they are returned to the rest of the house or if they are going outdoors in ring them to the average outdoor temps of the season. Hope that is some helpful info for others.

    Good information thanks. Actually I never fertilize my succulents, I am just learning it's only been 2,3 years. Wanted to know which fertilizer can be used for succulents and how much.

      I normally purchase fertilizers designed for succulents and cacti and I use 1/4 to 1/2 strength of the suggested dosage it says on the bottle.

    I just planted cuttings and some with roots on the ground. I live in Santa Monica. Will they be ok and if so when should I water them?

    • @succulentplantcare373
      @succulentplantcare373  3 года назад

      Hi Cindy, the cuttings should be ok as long as they’re not exposed to full sun or extreme heat because they’re not fully rooted and established. I generally water once a week, or when the soil feels dry. It depends on where you live and how dry or humid it is in your area. Good luck!

    Can grow lights bring out color? I've purple (red + blue) led growl lights for my indoor succulent collection. But most of them are not exhibiting vibrant colors. Will my LED purple grow light ever make them change color?

      Hi...from my experience grow lights didn't do it for my plants. Outdoor sunshine and very low or high temps did the trick.

    How cold can succulents take and not to kill them?

    • @karindaniellesmit6636
      @karindaniellesmit6636 10 месяцев назад

      It depends on the climate where you live. Here in South Africa my succulents are outside year round and our low temperatures is 8-12 degrees Celsius. FROST FREE area. Never lost a plant due to cold weather.

    What does it mean to give full sun...direct sunlight??

    • @succulentplantcare373
      @succulentplantcare373  3 года назад

      Full sun or direct sunlight means unfiltered sunlight on your plants no matter what time of the day. Most intense sunlight is from direct afternoon sun.
