Upanga west is an administrative ward in the ilala district of the dar es salaam region of Tanzania. According to 2012 census the ward has a total population of 14500. On thing you will note when you step a foot in upanga is there is a lot of apartment buildings. Upanga residents are of middle class and higher class.
