Thank you. This was helpful! I had a quote for someone to fix it for around 200 dollars, but your directions were quite clear, and I was able to replace it. It seems to be working just fine now.
Your video on how to test the dryer timer was very helpful. I have a Maytag electric dryer model MEDC300XW1. After following your direction I came to the conclusion that the timer was not showing any continuity from T - W. I removed the timer and right away I could hear something rattling inside. Not good. I just ordered the replacement part from your website. By the way your video was the only one I could find on RUclips with complete instructions on testing and replacing a dryer timer. Thank you.
It sounds like you are describing the shaft that the knob slides onto. If the timer shaft has failed, the timer will need to be replaced. Learn how to test your dryer timer here: ruclips.net/video/I1xa6F-xwXA/видео.html
That is not something that can be calibrated. That would usually indicate that you either have the wrong timer installed, a broken cracked knob, or a defective timer.

How long did it take for you to receive the parts? I chose the 1 day shipping so hopefully it does get here early next week 😭
@@SamanthaArreguin-u6f I ordered the part over the weekend so it shipped on Monday and arrived on Tuesday. I chose the non expedited shipping.
Can the plastic turning part be replaced with a new one?

What if the timing is off, when you replace the old timer with a new one? Can it be calibrated?

You're welcome! What was wrong with your dryer's timer?
Its sad that whirpool knows there is a huge issue in their dryer timer knobs and they dont replace it if ur warranty is out.
