if there is any wild bamboo nearby you can use that as an pole runner for beans. you can also diy an tomato cage with sticks and an bit of sturdy twine .
I just discovered your channel and I’m in *love* with it. Thank you for this down-to-earth, honest Victory Garden tour! Could you make this a yearly video? I’d love to see it this year. I’m doing the Victory Garden challenge from @ The Provident Prepper here on YT. I’ve been container gardening for years, but have made a lot of mistakes and errors and last year was the first time I actually had any success. We don’t have much space so I’m still container gardening, with a couple of raised beds as well, but I’m going serious this year with gardening!
Learning how to garden is a process, that’s for sure. I learn something new every year and I think that goes for everyone who sticks with it! I really wanted to film a tour last year, but I was juggling a newborn last summer so things were kind of crazy around here. I’ll definitely do one this year though!
I heard that if you sprinkle some chilli powder / flakes around the edges of the garden no pests will come because they won't obviously like the chilli ! Never tried it but I heard it from more than 1 source.
Delightful! Thank you, Sylvia--I don't feel so much like a nut now!
Thank you! Gardens are absolutely worth getting nutty about 😉
