The taproot of a plant is the central, largest root from which other roots sprout laterally. Typically, a taproot is straight and very thick and grows directly downward. In some plants, it grows larger and deeper than the other roots that might be present. There can be various reasons to cut the taproot: Transplanting: When transplanting a tree or plant, sometimes the taproot is cut to encourage the growth of the lateral roots. These smaller, fibrous roots are often better at absorbing nutrients and water, and their growth can help the plant establish itself more successfully in its new location. Prevent Overgrowth: In some cases, gardeners might cut a taproot to prevent a tree or plant from growing too large. This can be particularly important when growing trees in confined spaces, like urban environments or pots. Control invasive species: Some plants have deep taproots that can be invasive, taking up too much space or nutrients in a garden or natural environment. Cutting the taproot can help control these plants. Bonsai Cultivation: In bonsai cultivation, taproots are often pruned to maintain the miniature size of the tree and to encourage the development of a dense network of smaller roots, which are more aesthetically pleasing and suitable for shallow containers. However, it's important to note that cutting the taproot can also be harmful to some plants, particularly mature ones, and can lead to their death if not done properly. Always research the specific needs and characteristics of the plant before taking such a step.

I planted my farm did not use anything just planted them and take good care of them after one year I have trees over 3 meters tall trees and I have over 750 of them.
Did I miss the flowering part of the b video?? Or am I being stupid as I thought that all fruit pods that a flower would have to have been pollinating first. Which normally happens from the flowers. I would like to see the flowers from these trees
A number of process need more explaining. This could be done by inserting a statement here and there along the video. 1. How long is the graft planting to bearing fruits? 2. What is the reason of cutting the base roots ? 3. Why the partial black netting? 4. How many years of fruit bearing till their retirement or stop bearing? Watching and curious to learn for first time from USA
1. 4 years to 5 years 2. If the roots are not straight, cut them so that the durian tree can grow well. 3. Short-term sun protection 4. 30 years to 40 years
Regarding the black netting: the young trees cannot tolerate prolonged periods of direct sunlight and must be protected until hardy. Every durian plantation/farmer does this when planting young trees.
What is the mais use of the black net and also why you didn't put the watering system under the tree than putting it upper and when the temperature ir high the water that you put will only evaporate? Pls enlighten me pls. Im just a newbie in durian farming.
AT CLOCK OF 10:35....the original durian small tree was cut into 2 pieces joined together? how to make this happen? where did you get the 1st tree on the bottom and where did you get the 2nd tree at the top? There was 2 trees joined, how to make that? Is that what you called grafting? what is the purpose why you divide the tree into 2 pieces? how to do that? thank you
I want to ask, how do you determine whether a durian seed is male or female?Because I'm worried when the seeds are big but the durian doesn't want to bear fruit
Very inspiring videos.. hopefully you could help me by sharing tips and ideas on how to have flowering buds of my one and only grafted 6years old orange tree too.
Thanks for the video very inspiring .. .. what was you mix of rice husk to soil .. i.e something like - 10% rice husk + 20% charcoal rice husk (Rice husk biochar ) & 70% red soil .. ? I am growing durian trees in N.E Thailand
can you tell me, after how long we harvest the first fruits of the tree. .. since thé begining.. 5 years ? 10years ? And is it possible to make honey with durian flower's ?

Very very fertile soil .. jackfruit grows very well here .. in winter though we have frost problem for some days ... May be varieties belong to north combodia or Thailand will be well suited .. I want to make organic garden .. so decease resistance is important ... Also their will be jackfruit, mango ( main crops), morninga ...and some neem tree and herb spice tree which are good to prevent decease of plants .. Can you able to sale and send trees .. i want to do experiment .. Though it will be better if i take 5 type of species for first time .. later i can chose main soecies

If the root straight does not need to be cut but does not grow straight, we must cut it. If we do not cut, it will grow slowly.
