He is definitely in amazing shape for being ancient. Props to everyone that has been taking care of him all his life, but he must have some darn good genetics too! He and Poppee talking to each other was so sweet. I'm glad his final resting place will be with his famous stablemates.

My boy, Bo, is 22 and I pray that he will make it another 22. He is my heart horse. I remember being 12 and going to see him the day after he was born. He’s been bought and sold a couple times to friends of ours and I have been blessed enough to actually have him back in my barn.
Still have my oldie too. Got her at 14 (she was 9) and I’m turning 33 Sunday.

I do have an “old old horse”.. she has carried me to numerous cutting checks.. she is 27.. had her since she was 5.. arthritis now.. she was bred to be a barrel horse… but she liked COWS and hated to lose one and was fast enough to be sure she didn’t.. Even sat back and “tagged” a cow in the middle of its forehead when it tried to run over her.. Special place always in my heart..Our “”Pasture Puppy”…. HOLLY ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for saying.. ”vet checks are kinda what you make them”… it’s a lesson we have learned! One vet said our girl had neurological issues. Devastating news…we got second and third opinions… lots of TLC and therapies.. she’s doing great!

I’ve had a vet tell me my horse couldn’t barrel race because he is pigeon toed and he is running barrels now and is sound and works so hard❤️ It’s incredible
Thank you so much for sharing this! As I have an older horse too that just means the absolute world to me. Just turned 20 and is still running so well. I definitely don’t take any run for granted anymore at her age. Very grateful for theses horses and how long they can truly work for us. ♥️

Love it! When he nickered at Poppee saying hello to his friend ❤️. I have a 26yo I’ve owned him 23 of those years. He’s just now showing his age and starting to go blind but same as True he’s in his pasture alone where he knows everything and still runs around bucking in the mornings.

I hope my boy gets to see 30. He was born when I was 18 and he turned 22 this year. It's been a ride of a lifetime with him from almost losing him twice. Yet he shows me to never give up no matter what life throws at you !!
What a stunner, i know exactly how u are feeling, every day is a blessing. I recently lost my soulmate Eric, he was 29, i first met him when he was 4 when i started working on the racing yard he arrived at here in the UK. I was with him until he retired from jump racing when he was 12 and i was lucky to be given him by his owners. Every day he was in my life was a joy, even when he showing his worst character, but it was him. He owed me nothing and i owed him everything, he was my heart and my breath, enjoy every moment, i'm sure u will, and he's living his best life ❤❤❤❤❤
