Why do people think a $300+ 10.5 inch tablet expensive, when they think a $300 smart phones is a budget device? The screen is a lot bigger and so is the battery. Wouldn't it cost more to make tablets than to make phones?
I consider it expensive for what it is and especially compared to similar priced tablets. Also, budget phones for around 300$ have much faster processors, especially the ones from Chinese brands like Xiaomi or Huawei. With that being said, the prices for the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 are dropping already so... it’s not too bad.
Yes I think 230 Euros are fine. The only other alternatives are the Lenovo Tab P10 and Lenovo Smart Tab P10 (Identical to Tab P10 but has an Alexa Speaker). With the P10 you also get a fingerprint scanner. However, the internal hardware is identical - the processor is exactly the same. If you don’t care about a fingerprint scanner and the Samsung one is cheaper, I’d go for the cheaper one.
Great tablet for basically everything. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxLNmVocUk8tnSkwWIlYSNFzWRIaFTBuzS I bought it specifically for art, and that 4k screen is really fantastic for it! Also has LOUD audio, even tho the speakers aren't in necessarily prime locations it really projects! You do need to get a case for this bad boy IMMEDIATLY though as it doesn't come with one.Battery life is really good! Standby time us FANTASTIC. This guy can go about a week on standby and be just fine. The screen is massive so the longer you have the screen on, brightness especially, it will effect battery life. I am very happy with it though! One thing that I didn't consider is that since the screen resolution is so high, viewing ticktocks/ reading webtoons can be slightly blurry. There is no way to turn down resolution either, so it just be like that.Would still judge this bad boi at 10/10 for my first tablet. I've had it 3 months now and its not shown any evidence of "slowing down" or anything. Love it!

I was trying to make this decision for my dad. I grabbed the tab S5e for myself and the 128gb with 6gb ram and it runs very smooth. If prices are similar: Get the 10.5-inch for media consumption because of its bigger screen and four good speakers. It's better for Netflix, RUclips. The 10.1-inch is better for gaming but try to get the 3GB RAM one. It also might get one year longer updates.
Color accuracy is really spot on, very good for all media consumption. When watching Web pages with white backgrounds you can see a beautiful correct white without being blue or warm either. It's a great screen make no mistake.
I agree but i use night light to remove blue, tho this tablet is esier for my eyes than my Samsung A8 2018, idk why on my phone i need to turn on night light but on this device i can use it in complete darknes and my eyes dont fatigue
It'll probably get Android 10 in September. But I don't expect it to get Android 11 because 10 will be the second update. Usually, the Galaxy Tab A tablets get two updates.
Pity about the USBC port. All my devices use micro USB and I really don't have and wall outlets left, I hope an adaptor comes in the box like with my dad's S8+

Display is TFT not IPS but you can't see the difference! But even without AMOLED technology, the display of the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is beautiful to look at. The 10.5 inch screen, which measures 1,920 x 1,200 pixels, shows beautiful colors and has good brightness, but does not quite come close to a good AMOLED panel in terms of contrast and viewing angle stability. But that's a bit too much in the price range. Overall it's still a good display.
I feel mad, i have the same tablet and as i buyed it i got multi window funktion but now it is not there its is not in options none where i paid so much for it and i got trolled
Try holding the recent apps button for the split screen to work. You can also check if the split screen toggle button is on or off in Settings > Advanced features > Multi Window.
Netflix is supported but the resolution is lower than HD when watching Neftlix. If you don't want to pay that much for a S4 you could also check out the very similar Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite 10 which supports Netflix in HD. Or the iPad 2018.
Surprised the display is not IPS even though it is HD. A lot of other lower price tablets like RCA already have IPS display. I currently have the Tab 4 2015 version and the battery life for the past year has been declining. I am lucky if I get 2 hours battery life. I don't play games on it. Just the usual FB, email and RUclips. Also, it is starting to overheat. Ooops, gotta go now...battery running out! Auf Wiedersehen!
I just bought this tab A 3gb ram i though it would be better than ipad 10.5 2gb ram but testing PUBG last night its NOT smooth and cant handle the game well. And it doesnt support the HDR in the game settinng i dont know if its from the tablet of the game developers.
Mahmoud Y yeah it's specs are total crap versus iPad 10.5. The iPad is in another league. Ram management on iOS is far superior so 2gb goes a long ways. Games like pubg use CPU and Gpu more important than RAM. This tablet is underpowered for anything expect basics web and email. Samsung should be ashamed and embarrassed for choosing a Snapdragon 450 for a $330 tablet.
Snapdragon 450 for that price? The medeocre mediapad m5 lite's gonna kill this. Make no mistake, kirin659 is also used in many huawei and honor devices, including-but not limited to-honor 7x and huawei nova 2i so i know how it performs. Xiaomi mi pad 4 plus gonna rape both performance-wise for about 300+ or less.
Meshari AlMohaisen What? Did the price just go down because I just started researching this device and found it almost everywhere at $330. Are we talking about U.S. Dollars?
alex snor this isn't better than the Tab S3, not for any reason. It's GPU is about 20 times slower than the one in Tab S3. This tablet is an embarrassment specs wise.
Tech guy I've just come across this rubbish comment of yours, and cannot let it go unchallenged. You have had a huge amount to say in these comments, and some of your comments may have some merit, although your iPad bias is hard to avoid. I have one comment of yours on which to take issue, even though with a name like Tech Guy you seem very imposing and massively knowledgable about tech. Your off-the-cuff comment about the ipad pro with its "better chip" and 120Hz display, automatically qualifying it a better tablet than a Galaxy Tab S4 is utter nonsense, and should not necessarily be glossed over as the opinion of a tech expert. How can anyone called Tech Guy make such a short-sighted, uninformed comment? This kind of declarration can only come as a result of a completely biased thought process and lack of knowledge of products being discussed. The "better chip" comment takes the cake. Did you mean faster, more powerful chip? If yes, then the point would be un-arguable. The Apple chip in question , is much faster and potentially more capable than the SD 835 in the Galaxy Tab S4. However, does this make it a "better" chip? The answer is a resounding NO. The galaxy chip is fast enough and powerful enough to speed through everyday tasks. At the same time it has built into it DEX, a solid desktop environmet, a proper file management system, support for OLED display technology, mouse support, support for extended second monitor, superior multi-tasking, support for USB-Type C connectivity, powerful pen support other than handwriting and drawing, etc, etc. The iPad Pro 10.5 cannot even power an SSD without connecting to power, and a HDD not at all. The 120 Hz display on the ipad pro is of course a great added feature, but anyone who buys a tablet or a computer on the screen refresh basis alone needs to have their head read. I own both a Galaxy Tab S4 and an ipad pro 10.5, and admire both tablats. However, I make a stand when it comes to defending the Galaxy tablets against the those who make outlandish declarations from an ignorant base without owning BOTH tablets they are comparing. You cannot compare just one tablet. The word "compare" must by definition include a second tablet. Just asking, do you own, or have ever owned,, a Galaxy tab S4?

The galaxy tab a processor is way better and so is camera
I need a tablet that has a USB port and also take an SD card of similar.. and can get a key board..I have an ASUS from many years ago that the screen removes from the Keypad.. is there anything similar.
Does it have Samsung DexX
So is it a good tablet?
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 or tab a 10.1 2019 ??
Same question i am planning to buy tablet, but confused which tab should i buy tab a 2019 t510 or t590 2018
@@sajjadmahar5446 2018 version is better in screen IPS LCD vs TFT , and much wider 166mm vs 149 mm
rest of specs 2019 is the winner so i hope he sees this comment and reply to help us
If prices are similar: Get the 10.5-inch for media consumption because of its bigger screen and four good speakers. It's better for Netflix, RUclips. The 10.1-inch is better for gaming but try to get the 3GB RAM one. It also might get one year longer updates.
2019...why?Because the 2018 processor is the Qualcomm 450, but the 2019 version has exynos 7904.Galaxy tab A 10.1 2019 without a doubt.
@@MyNextTablet 10.5 doesn't support Netflix HD.
which stylus will work on this tab ?
It does not support an active pen...
Can it make calls ?
Color accuracy is really spot on, very good for all media consumption. When watching Web pages with white backgrounds you can see a beautiful correct white without being blue or warm either. It's a great screen make no mistake.
I agree but i use night light to remove blue, tho this tablet is esier for my eyes than my Samsung A8 2018, idk why on my phone i need to turn on night light but on this device i can use it in complete darknes and my eyes dont fatigue
Is it good for gaming?
unforternately no

Yeah try the galaxy tab a 10.1 2019
i found this for around 210 euros. And the 2019 tab a 10.1 for 175. Which one do you think is worth it more?
Does anybody know how long this will continue to get updates for?
It'll probably get Android 10 in September. But I don't expect it to get Android 11 because 10 will be the second update. Usually, the Galaxy Tab A tablets get two updates.
@@MyNextTablet thanks a million!
Pity about the USBC port. All my devices use micro USB and I really don't have and wall outlets left, I hope an adaptor comes in the box like with my dad's S8+
Worst statement I've ever seen. Pity about the usb c? Are you actually kidding.
All the should be using type c by now
I bought this tablet but when I charge the tablet I don't get any light that can show if the device is charging. Tablet is charging fine but no red light indicator. Please let me know if its only me or if there is no light indicator in this tablet? Anyone please help.
I'm pretty sure there is an lightning indicator which means ur charging
Does this support stylus,plzz reply
It does not
is this a good tablet or not
Does it support s pen?
No
Display is TFT not IPS but you can't see the difference!
Its ips
This supporting calls also ?
same question
Yes
Thank you!!!
it doesnt have a fingerprint sensor right?
No it does not.
@@MyNextTablet sad.. fot that price and this day of age, a fingerprint sensor should be madotory

Is this tablet still worth it? This one or Tab A 10.1 2019?
I think this one is better than the tab 2019. 4 speakers ambient light sensor. More battery too.
Cons of this tablet tah a10 2019 was not phone dial and just use wifi
No but the the galaxy tab a 10.1 cost more
This one is better: 4 speakers, ambient light sensor, more battery and quick charge!
Unfortunately it's not worth the price. Had mine for a few days and the speakers blew on low settings sent to back to Samsung waiting for a refund
Could you please tell more?
Prolly a defunct device. Got mine a couple of days ago and its fine
So no Netflix? On top of that not s OLED. I might wait for the s4 to go down in price.
Netflix is supported but the resolution is lower than HD when watching Neftlix. If you don't want to pay that much for a S4 you could also check out the very similar Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite 10 which supports Netflix in HD. Or the iPad 2018.
My Next Tablet How can it not support netflix in HD ? Do you know if it will stream sports like ESPN in hd 1080p? thanks
@@MyNextTablet what about s5e? can I watch netflix in HD?? thanks

@Mathys Breton is that pie?
Nice tablet stand .... Where you buy that?
Surprised the display is not IPS even though it is HD. A lot of other lower price tablets like RCA already have IPS display. I currently have the Tab 4 2015 version and the battery life for the past year has been declining. I am lucky if I get 2 hours battery life. I don't play games on it. Just the usual FB, email and RUclips. Also, it is starting to overheat. Ooops, gotta go now...battery running out! Auf Wiedersehen!
My next tab, does it have s voice?
I stumbled upon mines at the pawn shop I paid 140 not bad for a basic tablet. Wish I could run windows 10 on it
Oh I really want to buy it!!!
I just bought this tab A 3gb ram i though it would be better than ipad 10.5 2gb ram but testing PUBG last night its NOT smooth and cant handle the game well.
And it doesnt support the HDR in the game settinng i dont know if its from the tablet of the game developers.
You're sure it's not good at online games ❓
Mahmoud Y yeah it's specs are total crap versus iPad 10.5. The iPad is in another league. Ram management on iOS is far superior so 2gb goes a long ways. Games like pubg use CPU and Gpu more important than RAM. This tablet is underpowered for anything expect basics web and email. Samsung should be ashamed and embarrassed for choosing a Snapdragon 450 for a $330 tablet.
Try the galaxy tab a 10.1 2019
What are the best styluses to use with this tablet?!
Will the Tab A fit in your pocket
... What? You're joking right
Depends on your pocket lol
I have this tablet really good
When you compare this tablet to the tab 4 10 plus the snapdragon 625 isn't much faster than the snapdragon 450, maybe this will be my next tablet.
Pirat Carribean you should look for a used Tab S3 instead Snapgraon 820 is light-years better.
the display is a TFT not an IPS
Snapdragon 450 for that price? The medeocre mediapad m5 lite's gonna kill this. Make no mistake, kirin659 is also used in many huawei and honor devices, including-but not limited to-honor 7x and huawei nova 2i so i know how it performs. Xiaomi mi pad 4 plus gonna rape both performance-wise for about 300+ or less.
Please!!!
Review Mi pad 4!!!

No. Its still worse than s3. Just get the s3 instead.

Well if the thing you mainly use it for is media consumption this one might be better because of the 10 by 16 ratio Vs the 4 by 3 on the s3

Is possible use app as "adobe illustrator draw" with this tablet?
