in every six year cycle we have the opportunity to replace the entire elected government electing people with the courage and foresight to dismantle the unelected government bureaucracies and reign in the out of control judiciary is hard but the individual states through article five have the right to bypass the federal gov't and directly amend the constitution to reform any abuses of power. this specific clause was put in place by among other George Mason who knew the government would eventually over step its bounds and would be unlikely to reform itself and some means short of violence would be needed to reform it. therefore I disagree if this government of for and by the people falls the people will indeed be to blame
