The hist never told you what happened to your Egg Brother! Stylite Storm: It told me enough! It told me you killed him! Shroud: No! I AM your Egg Brother! Stylite Storm: NOOOOO!!!
Y’all should note that steel blue entoloma, glowing mushroom, and creep cluster make a fortify destruction, restore magicka, and fortify carry weight potion; which is broken for an alchemy destruction character. Also it’s all farmable with hearthfire and looks like an epic alchemist’s garden when you scatter them about your plots
They also sell for a Ton (around 2/3 of the Creep cluster+Mora tapinella+Scaly, which is supposed to be the best for Leveling) which means they also level up alchemy pretty fast.

Ending 2021 with another Lizard Wizard! Eggscellent! A dark mirror to the Stylite Storm (which is how I discovered your channel), the Mordo to her Strange, the Master to her Who-I love it!
Im trying your build right now. Started on Master and switched to Legendary the moment I got equilibrium. I can happily report that it is performing great! I got crap gear, nothing in enchanting yet and 40+ in alchemy, so lots of room to improve still! Focused on Sneak and Illusion first, and followed up with destruction. I went a little heavier into magicka. Very rewarding game play! Thank you!
Of all the build guides I've seen from a variety of creators, this, hands down is by far the most unique and interesting one I've seen, so much so that as I write this, I am loading up Skyrim to play this build.
Having so much fun with this build, I always wondered what equilibrium could have been used for and the style of play has been well thought out, highly recommend.
The Shroud reminds me of Short-Horned Lizards. As a defense mechanism, they can spray blood from their eye sockets in an attempt to scare away predators. Imagine you're a dragon and an Argonian Dragonborn drenches you in eye-blood..
Wickedwind doing his creative gameplay vids with one of Skypothesis' creative character builds. Now that's something to see. (P.S. you guys watching each others' vids is pretty dope haha)
I remember the Aetherial Pilgrim, but a cool idea would be a pilgrim who isn't a mage. He would be the oblivion class pilgrim who wanders Skyrim to visit the shrines in each hold, bears a mace and thieves guild armor and an amulet of any divine you want. The pilgrim would use alchemy, lockpicking, light armor, speech, one handed, sneak and a little bit of pickpocketing.
As someone who plays on ps4 where the game likes to crash with the simplest of graphical mods, im glad I stumbled onto this channel. I recently grabbed the anniversary edition and have been struggling to find a good playstyle. These build videos have been helping me to create my own character and a back story that I like, so I just wanted to say thank you for these. Can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Very unique build! I love the connection between the Hist and Daedra being made in the backstory! Very fun, I have a character thats similar to this build but she is a female Argonian and she's hideous!........ But anyway! Love the video!
I feel like Eye of the Dragon is essentially part of the character's aesthetic, and juxtaposes well with the plain robes. Heck, it kind of juxtaposes with Skyrim in general, temporarily changing the visuals in epic fashion. And having said that, I think it's still distinct enough from the Oblivion Sentinel's Cataclysm. I think the Shroud could alternatively use Windstad Manor as his garden residence (keeping the small version of the house). Laid to Rest could be an extension of his growing competitive nature, partly since there's no option to side with Movarth.
This is the first time I've seen a really useable equilibrium build and with the new spells it makes sense, also y'all are a lot better than fudge muppet because you actually use alchemy with your destruction mages
YES. I use fortify destruction potions when I know that I know that my usual drawn out battle won't go so well for me. As well as the fortify restoration potions when I'm running out of health potions
This is quickly becoming one of my most favorite builds ever. I already love the Argonians, and hemomancy has always been one of my favorite types of magic in fantasy. I could tell right away the Shroud was right down my alley. Outta curiosity, what's it with you guys and the gold ruby necklace? Reference to the Amulet of Kings or something?
I chose to have the shroud carry bloodthirst as it is a thematically fitting weapon which also absorbs health. I roleplay that his specific blood enables him to bond with the weapon and use it
New to following you guys but love the game and love this build. I played a blood magic Argonian wizard a while back, guess I'm going to have to do it again with the new content. Really geeked out over this build, good job guys!
I will say keeping it vanilla isn't a bad way to go, but sometimes a mod or 2 can really make a game. For this character, there is a old blood magic mod in Skyrim LE that Literally uses the casters blood. It is easily ported with the ck and would make this character build a true blood mage. The Blood Magic mod is OP in the begining provided you don't kill yourself using it, It tapers off nicely as you level.
You could also obtain the dagger Bloodthorn, which has Absorb Health as well as Soul Trap. I also feel like you could do Azura’s quest and get the Black Star. Just a thought.
Awesome build. I was thinking about a swashbuckler build. Try to tie it in with your Redorian swordsman build. The student who gave into his pride. Now that would be a killer build.
You could use Bloodthorn instead of the Mace to keep with the themes and mechanics of the character(at least I think it’s Bloodthron that has soul capture)
Great video, btw, you guys might want to put 1 or 2 points in the fire perk on the destruction skill tree because I remember hearing that it also boost your elementary enchantments, if I remember correctly, it was in the Fudgemuppet video where they were making the most overpowered weapon in the game, a stalhrim weapon with a frost and chaos enchantment.
An incredible build, and a real great take on how to use and roleplay blood magic in skyrim! Also, imagine between this guy and the stylite storm. A battle for the ages, i say.
@@Skypothesis thanks 😊 will definitely be trying this guy out on my next play through. I was also thinking of using some alteration flesh spells, roleplaying it as the shroud using magic to harden his own blood for extra defence.
I kept getting recommendations from your channel no matter how much I ignored it. Guess it was now time to subscribe, but I can’t say I am disappointed. Awesome vids.
The red misty atmosphere of the video was suitably creepy for this character. As always, I love the lore, backstory, motivation, and aesthetic. Your choice of a water accessible player home is perfect for an Argonian character. Your perspective of the use of blood magic by a character with three types of blood is a unique approach. The special moves represent the essence of this character nicely. I like how you presented The Shroud of Coldharbour as a counterpoint to The Stylite Storm.
I'm excited to start this build this weekend, the balancing of magicka and health looks like a blast. Always impressed by yall's content and commitment to the vibe
This is the second build of yours I've seen and I already like it, when ever I do a vampire starting out I like to wear ragged robes that Narfi and other beggars wear with ragged boots.
I definitely wrote off the leeching spells not thinking anything of them. Man was I wrong! This build is so strong and fun to play! It's hard to find a good medium with strong and fun but you guys always nail it! Awesome creation!
Absolutely making this my next build. Im happy i forgot i never finished watching this one. I typed in skyrim blood magic build and whoa..some of the ideas i had expaned to even further lengths. Im going to rewatch at least 3 times to fully capture the possibilities and roleplaying aspects. The fact that Touch of Death and Equilibrium work so well together...i may actually start using fortify destruction potions for the first time too. They are too overpowered for Unbounded Storms. But for edging out ToD over Equilibrium...perfect.
Wow! Now I'm interested. I always play as an Argoni - Warrior class vampire hunter and never cared to be vampire because it has never been interesting to me even after reading and learning every piece of lore I have found, nothing really fit that race. Finally I will be able to fully immerse myself into a really awesome vampire roll. Fantastic work.👍
After I reached level 40 playing this character I decided to go into alteration and conjuration to make him something of a more evil hemomancer for starters alteration for paralysis and Mass paralysis can be seen as him stopping an opponent's blood to freeze them in their tracks and in conjuration the use of the Dead thrall spell could be him manipulating the blood that's left in the body to turn those he is defeated into Shields that way he can heal while his opponents are distracted
Always love when the flasks get recognized. We looked for other transparencies of flasks/potions out there and path of exile has the best variety and highest quality art.
After playing alot of Skyrim every day for the past 2 months testing and experiencing Skyrim anew with your builds i can finally say this is my absolute favourite. I dont have to worry about managing resources or getting killed because I can just leech things. And leveling the crafting skills doesnt feel rushed with this build! And no poisons!! Playing on Nintendo Switch and having to go into the menu and applying poisons midfight after every hit makes fighting feel weird and unnatural. I love hoarding all kinds of power too and this build fits perfectly for that
The concept you've woven together around blood magic is simply astounding, and achieving all of that with just the official content is mind-blowing. Excellent job guys, for real. Also, merry Christmas! :D
This is the first video I've seen from your channel, and I have no idea how I didn't find you sooner! This way of showcasing builds is super awesome, and very well-delivered! :D
Hm if I did want to lvl conjuration I could easily Roleplay that they aren’t really zombies but puppets since after they die their blood is still fresh enough to manipulate before the rigor mortis kicks in.
I had a similar idea to this with one of my characters but the way u guys have done this is amazing. The role play is brilliant and the gameplay looks cool and unique, keep up the great work lads 😁
I still think it was really smart for the person that caught serana or serana herself to build a trap trigger that needs dragonborn blood to be opened. Then she would wake up exactly on time when the dragonborn arrives. It must be someone that prophesized the dragonborns arrival and the events of the dawnguard and vampires.
I'm going to do this build but will use the Robes of The Lich from Ghosts of The Tribunal quest and the Necromancers Hood just for the aesthetic. If you want to know where to get the new robes from the Necromantic Grimoire content there's an unenchanted set in the back room of Yngvild on a dresser to the right of the door
To get illusion maxed by level 40, you can train it with muffle. That spell increases illusion like crazy, especially when combined with well rested and mage stone.
As a Skarlet main in Mortal Kombat 11 i can only agree with you when you said the concept of blood magic is fascinating ! The Shroud of Coldharbour is such a nice character with a very versatile and unique gameplay. So i started a playtrought with him, the only difference is i will use the shrouded robes, the blood spells of Sacrosanct instead of the CC spells and use the specials moves: Unwitting Champion, Blink and Banishement from The Desert Magician video. It seems fiting for me because they are two vampire wizard expert in their schools of magic and their are blinded jealousy and power. Thanks for this awesome character as always and congratulations for your 8k subscribers !
I roleplay that when the Shroud is fighting morokei he unlocks the Histblood Ritual when the Hist tree from couldharbor gave him his power that combined with equilibrium from the book he read and the spark of life which i roleplay is a frost troll's blood and powerful destruction mage's blood concoction caused the Histblood Ritual and he unleashed an onslaught of elements then he blacked out after morokei was dead also i call Eye of the Dragon Black Sun Onslaught
My head cannon is that the skyline storm, after years of hunting down magical artifacts and powers of unknown, the influences of oblivion finally washed over them, coaxing them to take a trip thru coldharbour and boom. The shroud is born
I feel like this one deserves a walkthrough... Just to know how exactly you progress through the stories and when you upgrade which skill and how the character you shaped unfolds slowly!
I've said it so many times already but this is probably one of my favorite builds from y'all! I guess I just really like Illusion-bassd characters because the Desert Mage is also one of my faves. I play with Simon's gameplay mods so Paralysis spells are also part of Illusion, and those spells combined with Life Drain spells from their Mysticism mod is soooooo evil and powerful! Onehanded can also really work for the Shroud, particularly Harkon's Sword. It's become a gameplay hobby of mine to translate y'all's builds into modded setups and it's been very fun!
I'm wondering how strong this build would still be with Simon's overhauls. They reduce the strength of enchanting and alchemy I think which this build relies on. But they also add stronger drain spells like you say and the Lady stone gets improved.
@@quiggy92 The tradeoff more or less puts the build at the same power level, IF you play it right. I actually didn't need to use Enchanting in my build since I don't like dual crafting on one character, so I instead had an equilibrium (ha) of Magicka and Health, at 300-300 each.
And though I didn't invest in Enchanting, there are apparels already in the game that allow you to boost your Destruction power and reduce costs. Namely pre-enchanted gear such as Rings of Peerless Destruction (25%), and various robes that reduces costs up to 25%. Thaumaturgy and Apothecary closes the alchemy loop, BUT Scion overhauls the Vampire Lord tree to provide up to a 50% power boost with Drain spells, and combined that with Illusion's crowd control abilities that can also be buffed by gear/dualcast/potions, and you'd have no problem paralyzing an entire battalion of enemies, rendering them helpless from your life drain. And that's not even taking into account the combo of Equilibrium as stated above.
@@pancakes4193 Thanks for the reply! I don't think I'd take this build into Vampire Lord personally but you're right there are some good improvements there in Scion that would work.
@@quiggy92 If you're not going Vampire Lord, I do suggest perking Enchanting if you'd like. Though functionally speaking, the only benefit from doing that is getting Twin Secrets, as otherwise mentioned above, you can already get the best Fortify Destruction gear from loot or vendors; the latter of which you should have no problem with thanks to Alchemy. However, even without Vampire Lord's perks, I find that the Equilibrium combo is already more than sufficient. Though it does require a bit more patience in battle and can be a lot trickier to pull off. Generally you should probably rely on your crowd control Illusion spells.
Note that "technically" the bone hawk rings are not unique, as while yes, the only available on the World is the onetw mention in the video, they can be crafted with bone hawk stuff. Which you get by shooting down the weird ass hawks around Volkihar's castle. Which can be a pain, much like getting normal hawk feathers, but i think its worth mentioning.

Hm if I did want to lvl conjuration I could easily Roleplay that they aren’t really zombies but puppets since after they die their blood is still fresh enough to manipulate before the rigor mortis kicks in.
This might be the best build I've ever seen in Skyrim. I absolutely love it!
Guess my Nord Dest/Alt mage just got a friend in the making.
New build hyyyype! Keep up the great work guys! Argonians are my favourite race!
Argonians rise up!
This is the most interesting build I have seen on RUclips. I will have to try this on my next play. Thank you for this.
I had a similar idea to this with one of my characters but the way u guys have done this is amazing. The role play is brilliant and the gameplay looks cool and unique, keep up the great work lads 😁
I swear to god y’all gonna make me buy this game again. Stop tempting me with your incredible videos!
Hahaha for real. We were skeptical of the anniversary edition at first, but now we feel it’s worth the 20$ :)
@@Skypothesis Quick question, is there anything original in Anniversary that hasn’t been done in a mod?
@@Skypothesis Ok, I gave in.
Such high quality and cool builds keep this going!
I love your videos and I think the builds you make are really cool
Thank you!!
To get illusion maxed by level 40, you can train it with muffle. That spell increases illusion like crazy, especially when combined with well rested and mage stone.
Those builds really are good. It give me the ambition to go back to skyrim and enjoy the big world of tamriel again
That’s the goal!! Thank you!!
yeah, that sounds about right, since you joined the vampire side, if you joined Dawnguard, the Traveler drops unenchanted robes.
This is one of the coolest builds on RUclips! Man I can’t wait for more!
I think this is one of the coolest builds on this channel, i absolutely loved it. Keep working like this my guys
Argonian + Vampire + Blood Magic?! Sign me up!
One of my most favorite evil vampire builds good to be back as the shroud of coldharbour thanks for the video
This is just tremendous...you could write a book
Thank you!!
My head cannon is that the skyline storm, after years of hunting down magical artifacts and powers of unknown, the influences of oblivion finally washed over them, coaxing them to take a trip thru coldharbour and boom. The shroud is born
The visuals in this video are my favorite of all time!
Thanks!! Had a lot of fun with this one :)
I love that during the Volkihar Siphon special move, one bandit falls off the bridge
I would love to see your spin on a generic dragonborn shout focused build.
I feel like this one deserves a walkthrough... Just to know how exactly you progress through the stories and when you upgrade which skill and how the character you shaped unfolds slowly!
Yeah we had a bunch more we wanted to talk about but the build kept getting longer and longer so we cut it.
Yeah... But if you do a walkthrough this would be a good start!
This has to be one of my favorite skyrim builds, it's so cool and neat
The bonehawk ring does respawn according to the wiki. And the robes can be found randomly in Solstheim (i know i found an extra set on my dunmer)
You read my mind, I was thinking about creating an interesting vampire build today, this'll do 😁
Love seeing new uploads from your guys
Edit: Hope you guys don’t mind if I use this as a new build please and thank you ❤️
Please do!! We make them for everyone to play 💙
@@Skypothesis I’ve already used several of your builds for characters and I make almost all of them into follower builds just cos they all seem so cool and creative ❤️
This vid goes hard, feel free to screen record.
I love this build I always wanted a blood mage like character
