I stumbled a couple of times starting my journey as well. I think it was because I had the mind set of oh it’s not that hard to do and/or I don’t have to be as discipline as they say it’s just an exaggeration. Well let me tell you it’s not “that hard” as in the steps are easy to follow and know what to do however the discipline is a big factor in my opinion once I really committed myself to it and tracked everything like they say it was a game changer. I’m still on my journey have been for about 1 1/2 year now but it’s so much easier and I’m see a lot of progress. Sorry for the long book but all of that to say hang in there you’ve got this!!!
Thank you for everything. I started my no-buy year, it hasn't been easy, but I am so happy because it has forced me to get creative and it's opened my eyes to the reality of my overspending and materialism mentality. I have budgeted my no-buy guide for my next check! YOU ROCK!!
I would really like a home and looking forward to having my freedom back to do what I want instead of what other people want. I am taking this one step at a time. Thanks for the content. You are really keeping me motivated.
I have been watching your videos for over a month or two. I have been slow going, but I think the problem is I haven't saved the $1000 Emergency Fund. I skipped that step and went to figuring out my budget and paying off debt. I haven't really organized everything to make it less stressful either. My goal is to get everything to where I can easily get to it in binders. Plus 1st getting my emergency fund saved! Thank you for the time you take in putting these videos together. They are the best I have found so far. I pray by the end of this year I will see a light at the end of the tunnel with the work I put into it.
Great video. Your videos that I've been watching this last month have really informed and motivated me a great deal. Thanks for the forms and guidelines and the personal experience stories.
Thank u for your words of encouragement. 2025 is the last yr I will not have control over my finances. On a side note, I've lost 15 pounds from not eating out.
Hi, Love your content I have been working on paying off debt since last year I have some paid off but more to go I have hiccups and stumble and fail but I keep on rolling on
Sinking funds are categories you are “sinking” your money into to save for a specific event or item. In my case, we have one for Christmas, one to replace or repair our windows. You might want to save for a trip or a new couch, etc. it’s like having a mini goal and a fund dedicated to just that thing. Some people use cash in envelopes, like Jenn, and some people use a dedicated savings account.
I’m going to 60 this year and working on paying off debt. I had heard of Dave Ramsey years ago and tried to do the steps but have a husband that was never on the same page as me and now he wants to retire. Not until his dream retirement Tacoma is paid off! 😅
This is very helpful and a good pace to take it all in. I am working on my $1000 emergency fund and gathering my debt. Interest rates are insane! Now what happens if we have an emergency where we have to pull out $500 to replace a dishwasher? Do we stop snowballing to bring up the savings acct to $1000?
Yes- exactly. If you have an emergency that requires anything from your $1k, you do pause the debt payoff. Build back up to the $1k and start snowball again! 💛🙌
I don't know how to make a budget, because I start the month with debt on my account and how should I record it? I bought your ultimate budget and don't know how to save it. It will not be like that forever but it's difficult😅
How would you recommend paying off old debt that has no monthly payment currently? Would it still be debt snowball and than just saving and paying them off one by one vs rolling the minimal payment since there currently isn’t any?
My social security is only$1,636 rent is $1,122 .... HOW do I save$1,000. Please include retired elderly who want to do the baby steps too. ... Or is it too late and we're not included. I have no debt, don't eat out and don't buy lattes.
Have you watched the $1k video yet? On that video, I give 8 ways to make extra cash that anyone can do. I didn’t add on this video because it’s too much info for one video. ruclips.net/video/nCtgH-L8YzU/видео.htmlsi=hukCmHGRfdzUgAiD As far as SS amount being so close to your rent payment, leaving hardly any room for savings -you are allowed to earn up to a certain amount without affecting your benefits. Hello Jenn, Ready to get out of Debit
It works, just takes tons of patience. Everyone's journey is different, don't get discouraged!

Looking forward to paying off my 1 debt, the car. 😊
I really enjoy all your videos.
Thank you so much! 💛
I am ready no debt for me 🥳
I have a question, for baby step 2, do you just pay debt? Or can you do sinking funds at the same time?
